Chapter 21-Chelsea Tower

Sherlock Bones pointed at the second balloon car after giving his advice. Team 5Ds ran to the vehicle and rode aboard it to Chelsea Court. As they rode it, Jack spoke in a disappointed tone.

"I can't believe we let those tin cans take Baxter! If only we defeated them faster!"

"We did everything we could, Jack," sighed Yusei.

"That's not good enough! And do you know what also urks me?" grumbled Jack.

"What?" asked Leo.

"There's something unsettling about the driver of these cars. They don't seem to move, like they're not real," stated Jack.

"Uh, let's not go into detail about that and just focus on our main objective," Kalin said with a slight chuckle.

When the balloon touched down at Chelsea Court, Ms. Marphely was waiting patiently for them. She wore an outfit very similar to Ms. Conrail, almost so that everyone first thought they were in the wrong area.

"Hello, are you Ms. Marphely?" asked Akiza. "Sherlock Bones sent us to find you. We were wondering if you know where the gangs took Baxter.

The Marleybonian bowed to them. "I'm honored that Mr. Bones sent you to me on such important business in this time of crisis." She then smiled with an amused twinkle in her eye.

"I certainly expected he would not perform the honor himself," she remarked. "If your man was taken by a Clockwork, the solution is quite simple. Go look inside the Clocktower."

"Thank you, Ms. Marphely," nodded Yusei.

The wizards then ran towards the Clocktower, dodging the Ruffians that ran amok on the rooftops.
When they reached the center of the Court, eyes peered through a hole in the door and a voice rang from inside:

"Password?"

"Uh...I guess it's not gonna be easy," stammered Crow.

"No password, no entry," growled the voice before closing the hole.

"Aw man!" whined Leo.

The team sulked back to Ms. Marphely to report the disappointing news. When they told her about the need of a password, she shook her head.

"Password? Curious. This may require more effort than I thought," she sighed.

"Do you know where we can get the password?" asked Luna.

Ms. Marphely thought for a minute and her eyes lit up. "A gentleman with unsavory friends owes me a favor. His world insists on a show of power so I must leave that to you. Find Willian Pugsby by Chelsea Tower. Tell him I sent you and he'll help with the password."

"Unsavory eh? Time to take a bite out of crime!" remarked Crow.

Team 5Ds headed back to Chelsea Tower and cornered Pugsby as he was walking towards the tower. He jumped in shock as they surrounded him.

"Sir, why are you working together with the gangs here?" demanded Yusei.

William Pugsby looked around nervously. "Alright. You maybe a Wizard, but I don't talk to just anyone. But if Ms. Marphely sent you, I'll hear you out."

"How do we get the password to the tower?" asked Kalin coldly.

"You want to get into the tower, do you? Shakes O'Leary changes the blasted password whenever he pleases."

"Why do you work with them?" asked Yusei.

"Sure, I associate with O'Learys, but I'm as decent as they come. That Shakes is right loon," stated Pugsby. "Defeat Shakes at his hideout up the street, and he won't change the password out from under you."

Everyone ran up the street towards Shakes' hideout. Upon entering the building, Shakes O'Leary was plotting with some of his fellow henchmen and preparing to change the password.

"Hey you! Give us the password to the tower!" yelled Leo.

Shakes O'Leary grumbled at his minions' incompetence. He then ordered his biggest member to step up and take the heroes on.

"You wanna play rough? Okay. Say hello to my little friend, Bruiser!" boasted Shakes.

"And you think you can stop us with that meathead?" laughed Jack. "Bring it on!"

Bruiser lunged at them fist-first and tried to punch Jack. However, using his skills he was taught back in his days in Satellite, Jack dodged the blow and delivered a punch to Bruiser's nose. Bruiser winched in pain as he rubbed his broken nose and attempted to fight back. However, Jack kicked him and sent him sprawling to the floor, unconcious.

"Hmph, you'll never defeat the King with those lame moves!" yelled Jack.

Meanwhile, Yusei was locked in a battle against Shakes O' Leary. Upon seeing that his biggest henchman had been defeated, Shakes tried to bail and flee from the hideout. Yusei was too fast for him and attacked him with a Sandstorm spell, which tossed the criminal off his feet. The rest of Team 5Ds had rounded up the rest of Shake's henchmen and tied them up.

"Now that you've been defeated, you have to promise not to change the password," said Yusei to Shakes.

"Alright, alright!" cried Shakes. "I won't change it, I swear!"

The team headed back to William Pugsby and reported the news to him.

"Brilliant. With Shakes gone, no one can change the password," smiled Pugsby

"The funny thing about the whole story is that he promised not to change the password, yet he didn't actually tell us what it was," said Akiza.

Pugsby sighed. "Bad luck he didn't have it on him."

"Do you know who actually has it?" asked Crow.

"Shakes would have sent out the last password to the big muckers. That's not me; I'm decent," replied Pugsby. "I wager Timmy Icepick has the password. Let's just say you don't want him to reach the Clocktower before you."

"Thank you, we'll make sure to come back with the password," nodded Luna.

The team then ran to the far east side of the area and entered Icepick's Warehouse. Inside, the cat burgler and his henchmen were busy packaging some materials in crates. When they spotted the intruders, they quicky ran towards them.

"Don't be surprised if you find yourself a little chilly after this battle..." smirked Timmy Icepick.

"Oh yeah, bring it on!" laughed Crow.

The burglers battled Team 5Ds using knives, as none of them were wizards. Team 5Ds fought back using their wits and spells, defeating the minions left and right. After several minutes, Crow finally managed to deliver the shocking blow to Timmy using a Kraken. The big cat fell on his butt and sighed in defeat.

"Ah, I can't believe I was put on ice by such little Wizards. Don't tell anyone, okay?" begged Icepick.

"Fine, but on one condition. What's the password to the tower?" asked Crow.

Timmy Icepick took out a piece of paper and handed it to Crow. The date and the password were scribbled across it. The team then returned to Pugsby and showed him the paper.

When Pugsby saw it, he nodded in approval. "Thanks for that! They must be on to us."

"So does that mean we can finally go in the tower?" asked Leo.

"Right," said Pugsby. "You've got the password. Afraid it's gotten too dangerous for me. We can't all be Wizards. I pay my debts, I do. Tell Ms. Marphely I did what you asked. Best of luck, lads."

"Alright! Now we're really moving!" cheered Leo as everyone headed back to see Ms. Marphely.

"Ma'am, we managed to obtain the password," said Yusei as he showed her the paper.

Ms. Marphely examined the paper closely and scratched her head. "I'm glad William Pugsby could help you, but I'd rather not know what you had to do to get it."

"Do you believe we can save Baxter this time?" asked Akiza.

Ms. Marphely nodded. "I've been observing the Clocktower. There's no better time than now to rescue your man. Use the password and enter the Clocktower. Take care."

The team waved farewell to Ms. Marphely and raced to the tower once again. They stood at its entrance with more confidence. The same pair of eyes that peered through the hole in the door glared down at them again and a voice issued from inside:

"Password?"

"Here is the password!" Yusei declared confidently as he recited the words written on the paper they took from Icepick.

Once they gave the password, the door creaked open. Upon entering Chelsea Tower, they were met with two robots. The robots changed into attack position when their scanners detected they weren't part of the O'Leary Gang.

"What? You're not supposed to be here! I'll have to drop-kick you into next week!" boomed one of them.

"If you free Baxter, we will go quietly," said Kalin.

Instead of confining however, the robots retorted by firing electrical beams at the team. They managed to dodge the worst of the beams, however, the charges could still be felt through the floor.

"Yowch!" yelped Leo. "Ok, I guess they want to play rough! Well, we can play rough too!"

Team 5Ds fought back at the robots, making sure to put up shields to further protect themselves from the electric shocks. After several minutes, the robots finally broke down and the cage holding Baxter hostage was opened.

"Are you alright, Baxter?" asked Yusei.

"I thought I'd seen my last day. I can't thank you properly, so I won't...at least not now. I hear Mr. Bones will pay for my information," said Baxter.

"Information?" asked Kalin

"The O'Learys have a big plan, you'll see, but they've got designs on me, as well. I should be going. Give my thanks to anyone who helped find me," said Baxter. He then raced out of the tower.

"Geez, he's in a rush," sighed Crow. "Well I guess we should be heading back to see Bones too."

"Yeah," nodded Yusei.

Team 5Ds walked back to Ms. Marphely, who was smiling ear to ear.

"You found him, I never doubted you would."

"Yes, and he wasn't hurt," smiled Luna.

"A pleasure working with you, Wizards. I'm sure I'm not the only one who's impressed. Speaking of Mr. Bones, you'd best run off to see him at Digmoore Station, where he's coordinating with the police. Tell him I said 'Hello'."

"Don't worry we will," nodded Akiza.

The team bowed to Ms. Marphely and took the balloon car back to Digmoore Station. Once there, they reported their adventures to Sherlock Bones. The detective smoked his pipe and nodded in approval at everything that transpired.

"My thanks. I spoke with Baxter a moment ago. I could not have done better myself," said Bones.

"Oh, by the way, sir. Ms. Marphely told us she said 'Hello'," smiled Akiza.

She could have sworn she saw Bones turn pink a bit. "What? Ms. Marphely said hello?"

He quickly adjusted his collar. "Excellent. Excellent indeed. Your daring escapades have led me to conclude we must meet away from prying eyes."

"Where?" asked Jack.

"Baxter will meet us at my home at 221 Barker Street in Regent's Square. We'll have these O'Learys yet!"

Sherlock Bones left the station and gestured for the team to follow him. They walked down the streets of Regent's Square and turned the corner to a house with a sign marked with a dog. Baxter also happened to be waiting outside the house as well. Bones took out a key from his pocket, opened the door, and everyone walked inside. Once the door was safely shut, the detective began explaining his next plan.

"Excellent! With all present, we can now get at the truth," said Bones.

"How are you feeling, Baxter?" asked Luna.

"That was fair play, what you did. Here's thanks," said Baxter.

"What were you doing before your capture?" asked Yusei.

"I was knocking about a bit by the Ironworks, minding my own business, mind you, and I see Pops O' Leary," replied Baxter.

"Another one of them O' Leary's?" frowned Jack.

"What's going on at the Ironworks?" asked Kalin.

"His men see me and what do they do? Come after me!" exclaimed Baxter. "Me, minding my own business! Been running ever since. Well, that takes the biscuit! I tell you Pops is up to no good at the Ironworks. Take a look there, you'll see what's what."

"Excellent work!" exclaimed Bones. Meet me back at Digmoore Station for our next step."

"I have a strange suspicion that this Ironworks might be a dungeon," said Yusei.
