Chapter 8

Finding and saving Volteer

Alanna's point of view

We looked around for the entrance and we found it, we went through the entrance and then something exploded.

"ICE CUBES ALIVE!" Yelled Sparx.

Spyro used his flame while I took a turn by slashing at it, we both defeated the enemies in the first area now we broke the wall with a catapult. Which revealed to the next area, where more of them showed up, we cleared through many areas within eight hours and not a sign of Volteer was near. So, I had to use my eye to locate him, which was a few areas away, finally we're almost near him after hours of searching and fighting. When we were close we heard a roar, and a black shadow, thank goodness it didn't spot us otherwise we'd be in trouble.

"Was that Cynder?" Asked Sparx.

"Well, I think it was." Spyro answered.

"How can you be so sure?" Sparx asked another question.

"Well, if it wasn't her then there's more than one evil dragon around." I replied.

We went through the path to where Volteer should be at, all of a sudden, my body heated up pretty quick while a shot of electricity appeared out of nowhere.

"Whoa, guys are you ok?" Sparx asked.

Spyro shot out electricity while I shot some flames from my hands at a small pack of enemies charging at us.

"WOO! I guess so!" Sparx yelled.

We walked to the door after we cleared the area out, Spyro rammed his head to try to open the door. I tried to kick it open, but it didn't work either.

"Three ways the door is closed is one the door is frozen shut, two the door is jammed, or three it's locked and the keys are lost." I said to them.

"There has to be another way inside." Spyro replied.

"Hey this way geniuses!" Sparx called out to us.

We walked over to where the cave was then we looked inside the cave for enemies, and there wasn't thanks to my eye which has night vision.

"Oh look, it's FNaF lol." I laughed. "Or it's among us, which it's kinda sus."

"Well, we have one way to find out, Alanna you first." Spyro said.

"Alright." I said as I transformed into my wolf side.

I went in first then Spyro and Sparx followed from behind. At least this form is useful otherwise I might have to crawl on fours. We played an echo game by saying something simple or something stupid to make us giggle. We got close to the end as we saw the light from the tunnel.

"Ok, ok my turn." Spyro said. "HELLOOOOOOOOOOO!"

Then we heard a hello responded back, we got out of the cave and saw a room full of apes.

"Well, who's the genius now, Echo man?" Asked Spyro.

I remained in my wolf form while we attacked the hoard. When we were done, I sensed Volteer nearby.

"He's pretty close, I can feel him near." I told them.

I sniffed the ground even though Cynder was just here I found Volteer's scent, we traveled through the cave and keep caution for enemies, I've also sniffed the ground too so just in case if we lost track, we finally glided towards the platform which on the other side where held Volteer.

"I can feel something's wrong," I said with an uneasy tone. "I don't like this, this feels too easy.

"What part was easy?" Asked Sparx. "Being chased by frozen mad men and gorillas?"

"I think we woke something up..." I said kinda scared. "And that is one giant ice cube..."

"Uh Sparx?" Asked Spyro who is scared as well.

"Is that what I think it is?" Asked Sparx who is shooked. "AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

He flew back to us as the thing jumped towards where we are, and walked towards us, getting ready to attack.

"Holy crap..." I started as I was interrupted by Topanga's call.

"You guy's are ok- AHHH!" Then she yelled.

"What the Hell?" Yelled Dan.

"IT'S A GIANT ICE KING!" I yelled.

"HOLY SH-" Griph started then Topanga covered his mouth.

"Language! Hey Griph, where do you think his weak spots are?" I asked.

He removed Topanga's hand and responded with "Keep him defenseless while he has no weapons, dodge his ice attacks and whatever else is there. Also he does jump or stomp so jump when you can. And attack him before he strikes again."

"K, thanks," I said as I quickly ended the call.

We started to attack and everything we could do to defeat him, and sure enough we did. He fell onto the ground I made an ice bridge to get across to where Volteer was who finally woke up.

"And Spyro remind me to smack Griph for almost swearing again." I said.

"Sure." He replied.

"It borders on the miraculous, incredible, stupendous... a purple dragon and the hybrid heir your sizes saved me from that... that... thing. Thank you... ah... ah... ah..." Said Volteer as he talked fast.

"Ok, you need to learn how to talk a bit more better." I said. "But I'm Alanna."

"I'm Spyro and this is Sparx." Spyro added on.

"A purple dragon named Spyro and a hybrid named Alanna, amazing..." Then he continued. "Of course there were unsubstantiated rumor of a purple dragon and a hybrid in this combination countless generations ago, but most considered it hearsay. Gossip legend, it's hard to believe. Difficult to fathom, amazing to comprehend... er... um..."

"No wonder they gagged this guy..." Sparx said under his breath.

"So much time has passed, so many things have to learned, and now here they are standing before me..." Then he was finally interrupted by Sparx.

"Uh... excuse me?" Sparx asked. "Mr. Volt?"

"wha... wha... what is it?" He asked.

"Sir... shouldn't we get going?" Sparx asked another question.

"Oh, of course." He answered. "But where to?"

"Back to the temple." I answered.

"A friend of yours is waiting." Sparx replied.

"Ignitus?" He asked with a surprised look.

"Yes Ignitus." Sparx added.

"Of course, much to tell him, many hypotheses to pose. I believe that..." He continued.

"Ok, explain this to everyone once we get back, I have a portal ready to get back there immediately." I cut him off.

"Oh of course, we should get going right now." He said.

I created a portal so we can get back to the temple, I counted to see if they were here, and they are. Griph, Topanga, Dan and Ignitus is here, including a white dragon with golden frills who is also wearing armor. And a green dragon with dark green vines and a brown under belly who is also wearing armor.

"Welcome back, I didn't expect to be here so soon as well." She said.

We walked through the portal and the portal closed behind us. Then Volteer explained what happened while he was there before we got him out.
