The chase
Alanna's point of view
"Run!" Terrador yelled.
"Oh sh-" I yelled.
"Look when the guy says run, I think he know something!" Sparx yelled.
I ran back to the others and transformed into a phoenix, Cynder flew down and snatched the crystal who didn't know that I stole a chunk of it. Terrador started to chase after her and while they were in the air, Cynder smacked her tail into his face. He plummets towards the ground, then some columns tipped over as Terrador made a quick recovery.
"Go everyone!" Terrador yelled. "Fly like you never flown before! I'll go to the temple to get some help!"
When Cynder heard what Terrador said, she took this opportunity to get us, so we ran while Dan threw my pocket knife and Griph threw his sword at her, which ignored her completely and only flew after me and Spyro.
Dan's point of view
Cynder completely ignored us because her main targets is Spyro and Alanna, so we decided to go with Terrador and we followed him to the Temple. Once we got there Tiwong and Ignitus flew off the balcony and flew towards Munitions forge.
"You two stay there!" Terrador told us.
"No!" I yelled. "Our niece is there with Spyro, we're not going to let them die!"
We saw someone else who came out, it was Kane, he saw us and we flew down to him.
"Well I let you guys have the fun," Kane told us. "I'll go with you."
Terrador landed without an argument and let Kane climb on, we flew back just in time for us to see Alanna and Spyro, who just flew out of the volcano with Cynder following very close behind.
Spyro's point of view
Cynder was so close to us and we were running out of our breath, and before we know it we heard a roar from another dragon, we turned to see Ignitus and Tiwong both attacking her.
"If you're going to take their lives!" Tiwong growled. "You'll go through us first, you're going down with us, together!"
"TIWONG NO!" Griph cried.
They pushed Cynder down into the smoke as Cynder screamed, we flew over the smoke to see where they went. We were worried that they didn't make it, that something bad happened to them, Terrador flew over to us and he stopped me before I continued to find Ignitus and Tiwong.
"We need to help them!" Alanna yelled.
"Help Ignitus and Tiwong." I added.
"They're gone guys." Sparx told us. "There's nothing we can do."
"We don't care! They wouldn't leave us just like that!" Alanna replied.
"He's right." Terrador told us.
"I'm right?" Sparx asked. "Oh my gosh, that's a first."
"And probably the last." Griph replied.
Sparx glared at him.
"You can't find them in this mess, and you aren't ready to face Cynder yet." Terrador told us.
"I guess." Alanna replied then she sighed. "We need to find them before it's too late. But I got a sample of that crystal for Light Beam to see."
We followed Terrador back to the temple without any of us talking to help pass the time, we landed as Samuri, Cyrus, and Cyril came out.
"Where are they?" Samuri asked who is concerned.
"They're gone, Cynder has them." Alanna answered.
We saw Cyrus's face went pale and he went back inside without a word Alanna followed him into the training room while we went further into the temple.
Alanna's point of view
"Why was your face looked like that Cyrus?" I asked the ice dragon.
All these years I promised her father that I'd keep Tiwong safe." He answered. "And I failed, for years I protected Tiwong while she was a pretty close friend to me. I didn't, not even once, tell that how much that I- I."
"YOU LOVE HER!?" I asked.
He didn't answer for a few minutes, until he answered.
"Yes." He admitted. "But I didn't want that to be in the way of the wars, my duties of being a member to the nine, and a brother to the hybrid queen."
"You two should take some time off and get it straight." I told him. "Ignitus and the other's will understand."
"We should go to them, I can tell that Samuri will help complete your training." Cyrus replied.
We headed back and we heard Terrador was finishing off what he was saying.
"Light Beam, I need you to analyze this that I stole from the crystal that was used to take Terrador's powers." I told her.
"I will, while Samuri, she will complete your training." Light Beam replied. "Since she's the only other dragon with darkness that's available at this time."
We followed Terrador and Samuri to the training room, the statue was lowered into the floor. They guided us to the point from when the room started to darken and it built up a shadow from it, I floated up off the ground, even without wings, then I shoot out a ray of dark spheres to the last of the dummies. I calmed down and landed back onto the ground, the room lightened back up and I saw looks of shock from them.
"You... you combined the hate that you were given in your past and darkness to be a powerful dark force." Samuri told me. "We're going to keep that in check so you won't be out of your control, because the Dark Master will try to control you."
"But now, the confrontation awaits..." Terrador told us.
We walked out of the training room and Terrador is explaining how he found out where Cynder took Tiwong and Ignitus to.
"So, we're invading her lair to save them and the world before it's too late." Light Beam explained. "This crystal is made to drain powers from anyone with the required element, this is created by the Dark Master himself. But it is unknown what is used to be destroyed, so you need to figure it out."
"Since that's where we need to go then we're going to go there." I replied. "I don't think it's a good idea for you guys to be there. Beside what if their power isn't enough? Then he would require more."
"Alanna's right." Terrance told us. "The fight is depending on you five now. If we don't pull this off then we're all doomed."
"Let's get going while we can before it's too late." I said. "I'll head there first then open a portal for the rest."
"Good luck Alanna and stay safe until you get there." Ursula told me. "Spyro and the others will prepare for this fight."
"We have something for you before you leave." Light Beam said.
Light Beam summoned an orb of light as a breast plate appeared, it looked like it was new but was worn multiple times.
"This was also passed down from generations, your real mother wore this when she first fought against Olivia, her sister." She explained. "And now, she wants to pass it to you, it's unfortunate that you're related to Olivia, as her niece. But Olivia was after you ever since this world and Hybridnia have heard of your soon arrival."
"So, Alanna is special like Spyro huh?" Kane asked. "Well they proved me wrong the first time, then I won't let them fight this alone."
I left the temple to head to Concurrent Skies, which is Cynder's lair.
"Cynder's lair is where hope goes to die everyone. A dark foreboding place in which Cynder broods and skulks, and plans her next assault." Terrador said. "You must make your way to her fortress, where I'm sure they are being held."
I opened a portal that lead to the Temple, Griph came through first, then Dan, Topanga, Spyro came through, then Kane showed up as well, the portal closed behind them and we looked what was further ahead of us.
"Next time that I say 'I want to face Cynder' why don't you go ahead and punch me in the mouth." Sparx told us.
"Gladly." I replied.
Then we saw a shadow flying over us and we heard Cynder's roar, we make our way to her fortress, fighting off her guards, opening gates, and fighting new things that we haven't faced yet, but it was all not a problem. We cleared out an area and we stopped to look which way to go, it's like a labyrinth almost, Sparx went ahead and Cynder whooshed passed him to the point of him flying to the ground Spyro looked down to Sparx.
"I can't talk..." He whispered. "heart... breaking up."
"Get a grip Sparx." Griph told him.
"Yeah, come on, Ignitus and Tiwong is waiting." Spyro added.
