It's been a month now and all three boys were getting out of the hospital however Remus still needs to heal more. This won't stop him however from being someone that he wanted to be. Remus and Benny walked down the hall to the front of the hospital. Even though Remus was glad of getting out of that room, but he was getting used to being in there. The sixteen-year-old looked down at the cane in his hand. It was a beautiful dark wood with a wolf engraved on it along with his name. Remus looked over to Benny who was whistling to himself. He wanted to ask him what song he was singing but his brain wouldn't let him. Maybe he was too scared, or he knew that he will never speak again.

When the two got into the lobby Remus saw Sirius and his little brother laughing with that boy- James he was laughing. It was nice to hear someone laugh, and Remus wondered if he would ever laugh again. "Hi Remus," Sirius called waving at him. Remus waved back and looked up to Benny as if he was asking if he could go over to them. Benny smiled.

"Of course, Remus. I'll call you back when your foster parents get here," he said to Remus. Remus nodded and walked over to his friends? Where they friends? He didn't really know them all that well and yet they talk to him.

"Hey Remus," Sirius said looking at James's parents that he saw at the hospital a month ago. They looked like James. His father had black hair and hazel eyes. His father's hair was a mess but Remus quickly understood that it's the style. His mother was beautiful with fiery red hair and brown eyes. Remus smiled at them but deep down his heart was shattered and still breaking.

"Mother, father is this Remus," Remus smiled but he kept his eyes aimed at his shoes. "You kind of met him a while ago," James smiled at his parents.

"Hello there Remus. James told us so much about you and we are sorry," James's father said looking at Sirius who was talking with Regulus. Remus nodded but he didn't say anything as he played with the cane in his hand. Mr. Potter sighed and walked closer to Remus. Remus tried not to flinch but when he did Mrs. Potter sighed.

"It's ok Remus. Your safe now," she said looking at Sirius and Regulus. "You all are. Come boy's we should get home. It's almost dinner time," she added before she smiled at Remus. Remus meets her eyes before he too smiled back.

"Thank… Thank you," he said under his breath before Benny walked over to Remus. "Bye," he added waving to his new friends.

"Come on Remus. They are here and you can hang out with them once you get settled," Benny told Remus who nodded.

Remus was worried about meeting this 'new family' that was going to look after him. What if they didn't like him? What if they send him away because of him not speaking? Remus looked up to Benny when he waved at a young couple with smiles on their faces. "Hello there," Benny said when they walked over to them. Remus kept his eyes to the ground.

"Hello," the woman said looking at Remus. Remus waved at her before he met her green eyes. "What's your name?" she asked Remus. Remus played with his cane before he looked up to Benny.

"R…. Remus Lupin ma'am," Remus said before he started to cough. Benny sighed and looked at the man who was watching Remus sadly.

"Well, Remus it's nice to meet you. I'm John and this is my wonderful wife Hazel," John said holding out his hand. Remus hesitantly took it and shook it with a small smile. "Well, why don't we head home," John said nodding to Benny. Benny nodded back and Remus knew that this was the start of something amazing or worse than what he had gone through.
