Carter's battle with the beast slowly draws to its close as he breathes heavy and often. He clenches his left arm in pain as blood drips from his forehead.

"I have grown bored of this game Carter..." The Aragami says.

Captain nods in response.

The beast charges another ball of oracle with intent to end the battle. With despair showing all over his face, his eyes close as he accepts his fate. The blast hits Carter as it slowly eats away at his skin

"FATHER!" Quinn yells as he dashes towards his father.

Messiah rushes to intercept Quinn's suicide. But as soon as he meets Quinn, he tries to force his way through.

Hildreck wraps his arms around Quinn to stop him.

"QUINN! Think about this shit ma-"

Quinn jerks away from Messiah. "And what the hell do you know, Eh? YOU DON'T KNOW JACK SHIT ABOUT HOW MUCH MY FATHER MEANS TO ME!"

"But tha-"

He looks back at Hildreck. "You think you can reflect all of your problems onto me? I don't give a damn about your parents Hildreck... I'm only worried about my father..."

He dashes towards his father, but it is far too late. The beam of oracle stops as his charred skin reacts with the air creating a pungent odor.

Quinn wraps his arms around his father. His skin sizzles on contact.

"F- Father..." Quinn sprints towards the beast but it vanishes in thin air. He scarfs in anger. He turns around and stares down the blade of a scythe.

The sound of a scythe whizzes through the air. Messiah points the scythe at Quinn and his father.

"Hildreck! What is wrong with you?!"

"I should be asking you the SAME damn thing! I thought we were brothers... You're telling me I betrayed your trust? Is that it? I- I want answers... RIGHT NOW!"

Air passes through Carter's mouth as he struggles to speak. "You- Answer... Room... Bottom cabinet..."

Nana and Kaitana finally reach their destination as they view the dramatic scene in front of them.

Nana runs towards Messiah. "M- Messiah...? What's going on?"

He points his weapon at Nana and Kaitana. "I treated you all like family... Were all those things... The things you told me a lie? They were... weren't they? To... To think the only people I could call family betra-"

SMACK

The sounds of the smack echoes throughout the earth.

Kaitana looks him dead in the eye. "You think we would do something like that, Huh? Does the bond we share... DOES THE BOND WE SHARE MEAN NOTHING TO YOU!?"

His face of anger changes into one of sadness. Without a word he lowers his scythe.

Air passes through Carter's mouth as he struggles to speak. "M- room... Bot- locker... Your answers..."

Quinn runs back to his father. "Dad..."

One of the hardest things us humans go through is loss. Saddened by the memories that could have been made. Saddened by the regret they bear. Saddened by a lost dream. We attach ourselves to people to give ourselves a sense of belonging. But what if we all died? If we had nothing to hold onto... would we still live? Or would life itself become our enemy.

-outside of Captain Carter's room-

Nana, Quinn, Kaitana and Messiah all gather outside of Carter's main chamber as they prepare themselves for the truth.

Kaitana puts her hand on the door handle. "Are... you guys' ready?"

They all nod in response. Quinn taps Hildreck on the shoulder.

"Hey... I am sorry about what I said earlier. It was one of those 'heat of the moment' kind of things." Quinn says as he reaches out a hand.

"Yeah, I forgot how irrational you are when dealing with your emotions and all that shit." Hildreck says with a smile.

The door opens as a cool breeze exits the room. With every step the wooden floors creek as a darkness perpetuates throughout the room. Inside is a supercomputer sitting on top of a desk with the words. 'Please insert password' on the display. Quinn takes a flash stick from his pocket and inserts it into the computer. The fans kick dust off the walls as it launches into the air. Coughs echo throughout the room. On this display shows three files. One titled 'Fenrir's Vengance' another titled 'Morrigan' and the last one titled 'Parasite'

They decided to open the one titled 'Fenrir's Vengeance' first. Inside of the file is a picture of a scripture written by Carter himself.

"Fenrir plans to wipe out all of humanity by creating a sort of God to bring upon humanities downfall. From the intel that I have gathered, with the death of the four Arch-Aragami a God will be born. Fenrir will usher in humanities downfall. And when that happens... Humanity is doomed. The names are as follows: God of Knowledge, God of Chaos, God of Control, and the God of Destruction. I have been able to pinpoint exactly where these God's are. Except for the being of control... Once these beings unify... The world will end."

Nana scratches her head. "Wait... So, we have been killing God's all along?"

Hildreck shrugs. "Sounds kinda badass to m-"

BAM

Captain Kaitana hits Hildreck on the head. "Stop messing around! This is serious shit you know?"

"Onto the next file." Quinn says as he clicks on the file named 'Parasite.'

The file displays another written document by Carter.

"There is this sort of... Parasite. Through studies I have found that this thing feeds on the human psyche, slowly eating away at your mental stability until you go insane. It enters through your neck during periods of mental instability and makes you do things you never would have thought of before. Hildreck... Quinn... If you two are reading this. Then I would like to take this opportunity to apologize for my grave sin. I just... couldn't let go of her..."

Quinn looks back at Messiah. "Hey, are you ok...?"

He puts a firm hand on Quinn's shoulder. "Keep... going..." He says through clenched teeth.

He clicks on the next file titled 'Morrigan'

This file is formatted the same way as the others.

"The day of her death was the day I became infected with this hideous parasite... it drove me to do indispicable things... I decided to clone my wife. Within my lab I was able to a little girl... I decided to call her Luminaire. But on the day of her emergence from her false womb, she was born still. Yet breathing... This saddened me but I did not give up. While keeping her in her comatose state I cloned another... This time a boy. I decided to name him Messiah. He was a complete success. However, he seems to cling to his comatose twin without having any information about their relationship. He never glanced at me once... Out of anger I sent them both away. Hopefully to never be seen again. The guilt I feel from this sin is heavy. One day I will atone for this sin with my life. Quinn hasn't looked at me since..."

CRASH

Messiah punches the computer out of anger. "And you're telling me you knew NOTHING about this?!"

"No... To think the father I knew was this twisted... You know, this gives me a bit of solice... My father died years ago..." Quinn says as he shakes his head.

"L- Let's all go to sleep... There are a lot of things to process, and we all want to be alone right now, right...?" Nana says.

They all nod as they head their separate ways.

-inside of Kaitana's room-

She lies on the bed in darkness as she thinks about the almost certain future.

-inside of Kaitana's subconscious-

Kaitana investigates the mirror.

"So, you know that you have to kill him, right? Why haven't you done it? All you must do is kill him and the world will be saved. Don't you know that? You have the power to see and change the future. But your ignora-"

Kaitana smashes the mirror. "There has to be some other way! I will not kill him... We share a bond. I won't kill someone that I love..."

"Then why not kill his sister? She is already dead. That will change something..."

"Kill her!"

"Do it!"

KNOCK KNOCK

"Hey, Kaitana! It's me Messiah... Can I come in?" He asks.

"Oh! Uhm... Yeah come in!" Kaitana answers.

He opens the door and lies down beside Kaitana.

He scratches his head. "So, uhm... I don't really know where to start with this... Well first off, I want to thank you for still being by my side. I can't talk to Quinn and Nana like I used to. You're the only one I can really talk to. I'm really confused right now. To find out that my whole purpose was meaningless. To find out that the sister that I loved so much is a clone of my friends' mom. Shit...! To find out I AM a clone of his mom... I just feel like I've lost all meaning... I- I have no purpose on this earth. Fenrir has been born already. We might as well give up now... Right?"

Kaitana looks Messiah in the eye. "It sucks that I understand what you mean... There are times when life feels like it has lost its meaning. There are times when you want to give up. But with the way I see it... There will always be light after the dark. The reason we live is to find meaning."

She smiles. "That's why we have to keep smiling!"

Messiah smiles back. "You're such a good listener! You... have a cute smile...!"

"O- Oh... Th- Th- That was... Unexpected..." She says as she turns around.

The skilled teaser snickers. "Wait... You were trying to fli-"

She is interrupted by the sound of snoring.

"You're sleeping in my bed...?!" She whispers.

Kaitana gives up as sheep passes out. She also starts to snore.

-Inside of Nana's room-

Nana pulls up a chair. "So, Quinn! What did you want to talk about?"

"Well, obviously a lot of shit has happened today. We... lost a lot and learned a lot, right...? I lashed out and said something really fucked up. I don't think he'll look at me the same anymore. That's my regret of the day, I guess. And my father too... I knew something was wrong with father. But I didn't know he was that sick of a person... My real father died years ago... My mother is my best friend... and my mother is my best friend's twin... That's some messed up stuff...!"

Nana nods in agreement.

"I just don't know what to do... There's so much pressure on me that I swear I'm THIS close to cracking! And when it comes to my friends, I feel so... alone. I'm always pushing them away..."

Nana takes the candy out of her mouth. "Quinn? Not gonna lie to ya... You're doing that Quinn thing again. Where you overthink the simplest things. Just keep being yourself! We ae here with you because we want to! Also... You have to apologize to your mother."

"But I d-"

BONK

"AND I WANT YOU TO MEAN IT! I referring to Hildreck dumb dumb..."

Quinn rubs his head in pain. "Yeah... I guess I do overthink things."

She sits back down on her bed. "Also... When Messiah was having his fit earlier. I kind of... felt sadness. I was able to sense regret and sadness. I know deep down he felt really betrayed. But what hurt him most is that the betrayal came from the people he loves... Deep down he cherishes this bond that we've nurtured with each other. And the sadness it brought to him when this bond broke right in front of him... It hurts."

Quinn stands up and walks out the room.

"Hey! Where are you going?!"

"To... Apologize!" He says.

"Wait! Hold on!"

After a few minutes of walking and finding Hildreck, they reach Kaitana's room. Quinn barges in without knocking and walks in on Kaitana and Messiah sleeping in the same bed. Without making any noise. They take a picture. Retreat quietly and head back to their rooms for a good night sleep.
