Hey, y'all! As promised, here is a new story based on my favorite video game, Destiny 2. It's not exactly the same (only loosely based), but close enough to count. It's my OC, Eddie Brock (same name as Venom, different character), navigating through Guardian Academy, a training facility where Guardians train and hone their powers. Read, review and enjoy!

P.S. DM me for your OC to be featured.

"-ardian? Guardian? Eyes up, Guardian!" Eddie slowly got to his feet, his head throbbing. Where was he? Who was he? What was that weird flying triangle thing calling him "Guardian"? And most importantly, where could he get something to eat?

He glanced at the flying triangle thing. It was white with orange accents, with a central blue eye. It appeared to be a small robot. "It worked! You're alive!" it said, almost sounding relieved.

"I've been looking for you for so long." Eddie interrupted what looked like a long speech coming into place. "What do you want?" The triangle robot stopped and thought for a second. "I'm a Ghost… well, actually, I'm YOUR ghost. And you are one of the Traveler's chosen. You... are a Guardian."

He dramatically stopped. Eddie wasn't impressed. "Are you just a drone? 'Cause those are pretty common. Also, what's the Traveler?"

The "Ghost"'s eye seemed to widen. "I almost forgot! The Traveler is what created me and gave you your power. You weren't around when that happened… most likely. Basically, the Traveler came to Earth and blessed this solar system. After a great evil tried to take it, the Traveler sacrificed itself to save you. It created us, the Ghosts, to find and resurrect Guardians to be its army of protectors."

Eddie stopped him. "Hold up… you're saying I DIED?"

The Ghost looked at him pointedly. "Yes, you did. You can't remember your past, either, but that's supposed to happen. Now, we need to get you to the City. There, we can go to the Academy and get you registered. But first, we need to get you a ship."
A small group of six Eliksni watched them intently. "We could kill him and take his Little Light," one of them said in Eliksni.

"No, we can't, you idiot," another retorted. "The Little Light would just resurrect him, and then he'd kill us."

"You got a better idea?" a third replied.

"He'll probably just kill us and move on," the second one remarked.

"Then let's take his Little Light first, THEN kill him," the first suggested. They all agreed except for one, who was the youngest and smallest of the group. She was not yet fully grown, but her brothers and sister had taken her along to hunt. She disliked killing, but her father insisted.

While he searched for something that could fly and his Ghost was yammered about the Academy and the Traveler, Eddie heard voices speaking in a different language that, strangely, he could understand. He didn't know the name of the language, only that it was alien and slightly sputtering. He raised his hand for Ghost to be silent and listened intently. Faintly, he heard a voice say, "He's stopped. Quiet, all of you."

Eddie quickly turned and saw six humanoid figures with four arms each stop moving, frozen in fear. He spoke up, surprising himself by doing it in their language, "Hello, strangers. What brings you here?"

They looked at him, astonished that he spoke their language. "We seek something you have, Great Machine's Chosen." The largest of them responded.

"My Ghost?" Eddie replied.

"Yes, your Little Light."

Eddie was pretty sure he wasn't supposed to give his Ghost away, no matter how annoying he was. "I cannot give him to you, but I can promise you that I will neither offend nor harm you." He sat down and beckoned for them to do the same.

They obliged. "I am heading to somewhere called the Academy, to train and prepare for Guardianship. I don't think you can join me, but I will visit you here if you wish."

"We would like that," the largest Eliksni responded. "We don't have any company where we live, only other soldiers and the captain."

"Well, then, I'll see you in a week."

"Farewell, Great Machine Chosen." They went their separate ways, and Eddie continued to search for a ship or something that could get him to the Academy, unaware that this decision would affect his future forever.

AAAAAND end of Chapter 1! Hope you liked it. As said before, DM me with your OC's name, physical description and class/subclass if you want them to be featured in the next chapter. Read, review, and have a blessed day!

Edit (12/23/2020): I fixed the paragraph spacing in here, and made the emphasis where it needs to be. Enjoy the fix!
