Chapter 13- Hailey's POV

It's been three weeks since any of us have seen Kim. Three weeks we have been working around the clock looking for her. While looking for her more than once myself and Jay have had to calm Erin down since she has managed to lose her cool a few times.

Three days after Kim went missing, Adam started coming back to work. Everyday he was hardly helping us find Kim he was more bothered about investigating real crimes as he so eloquently put it. He believes that Kim had just gone off on her own and that she will be perfectly fine. I don't believe that for a second. In all the years I have known Kim, I know that she loves her job and she loves working at the 21st District. She has also been wanting to make intelligence but never managed to come up since her relationship status changed with Erin.

Once again we are all at a dead end with no witnesses and no security video whoever took Kim knew what they were doing. They knew where exactly the cities security cameras were and were staying away from them. We had questioned a few people who Kim had put away to ask if they had done anything to her and everyone of them all had alibis.

The next place we checked was Cook County Department of Corrections to see if anyone had ordered a hit out on Burgess and once again we drew up empty.

Now sitting in the bull pen we were all on edge, I kept seeing Erin throwing glares over at Adam who was acting like nothing was happening. Just then Trudy (who had been helping us with the investigation) came up the stairs. As soon as she did Voight came out of his office.

"We have a problem Hank," Trudy said.

"What?" Hank asked.

"We dumped Burgess phone and we discovered that she had received a text from you Lindsay around an hour before she disappeared."

"What? I never sent Kim a text," Erin said making all of us look confused.

"It came from your number Lindsay," Trudy said.

"I would never set up my girlfriend to be kidnapped and if I knew where she was I'd be there right now," Erin snapped.

"Erin I know you didn't send her a message since the time according to the report you were out with me on a case," Voight said looking over the report given to him.

"Okay so the next question who wasn't out of the office the minute the message was sent and do we have to look at one of our own?" Trudy asked.

"So we begin to look at our own. No one is going to leave this precinct until we find out who the culprit is," Voight said. He then walked off into his office followed by Trudy and Al. When they left Erin stood up and I took one look at Jay and the pair of us followed her.

We found her in the locker room and we walked in as soon as she punched her locker.

"Whoa Erin easy," Jay said.

"Don't! Don't you dare tell me to relax! This is my fault. I shouldn't have left my phone around and now Kim is off somewhere scared out of her mind because of a damn cop!" Erin snapped.

"Erin none of this is your fault. You didn't know someone would use your phone to message her," I told her.

"We know the only person who was in the office at the time the message was sent," Jay said.

"If anything happens to her! It's on me! I got her kidnapped for god sake!" Erin snapped.

"Erin no one blames you. We'll get her back I promise you," I told her and then I walked out of the room to head back into the bull pen.

I really hope we do for Erin's sake and if we don't then I will not like to be the person who is responsible for this because I know one thing for sure when we find out who this person is then they will be in a world of pain.
