She dashes through the forest. Long black tresses blowing in the wind as she uses the trees to as protection from the spray of bullets coming from behind her. Quickly and efficiently jumping over the fallen branches as she tries to increase the distance between her and them. She's outnumbered, and if she stops now, she might not make it out alive.

They've found her. The Hunters that have had their sights on her have found her and they're not leaving until she's eliminated. Once they had word of her location, they stormed her home forcing her to make a decision. Fight or run. She chose the latter and is now running for her life when she could eliminate them without so much as a finger moved.

You see, Olivia Pope is a very extraordinary, very elite woman with gifts deemed impossible by the human race. With the ability to create and manipulate electricity, a form of energy resulting from the movement of charged particles (such as electrons or protons), allowing control over electric fields, all charge carriers (Ions, Electrons, Protons, and Positrons), electronics, and electromagnetic forces, she's deemed a category 5.

Still, she would rather run than defend herself for she's not a killer.

The war between Hunters and Elites has been brewing for some time and the moment her powers awakened, they were notified and sent after her without any remorse. Hunters are capable of handling Elites due to them being genetically modified to face them. Enhanced agility, strength, durability, senses and endurance is embedded in their bodies and they've been trained in hand-to-hand combat.

They are ruthless. Lacking any real emotion when it's time to kill their targets.

Leading the task force is Fitzgerald Grant. Once a successful businessman now a Hunter, he fights to make the world a better place after losing his son by the hands of an Elite he thought was his friend. Second in command is Mike Wilcox. A retired mechanic who lost his family in a fire. A fire that started because an Elite couldn't grasp the word control and what it meant. Changing his life forever.

Brought together by their want for revenge, these two became good friends and even better partners as time passed. A dynamic duo so to speak that no one dares to cross.

"What should we do, boss?" Mike approaches Fitz, reloading his rifle. "Should we go after her?"

"Send our team in." His hues remain straight ahead. "If they don't come back out then we handle the problem ourselves for we're not leaving here until we have her head."

"Say no more." He motions a hand towards the woods, sending the team in first. "You have your orders. Catch and kill the Elite."

One by one, the Hunters disappear into the darkness of the woods after Olivia, their objective clear. With their heightened senses, they're able to pick up on the faint scent of lilac and vanilla as well as her feet slapping against the ground as fast as they can and the soft, sharp breaths slipping through her lips. They can even hear how fast her heart is beating. She's afraid and rightfully so.

She can hear them. A hand gracing her mouth to keep herself quiet as she hides behind a rock, knees to chest, head to knees. She doesn't dare to peek out. At least not yet. The end of the woods in sight, but she knows all too well that they're too intelligent for that. As their footsteps close in, her heart drops further down into the pit of her stomach. If she moves, she's caught. If she doesn't move. Caught.

Either way, it's a situation she would rather not be in.

A lone shot goes off from a Hunter's gun and the bullet almost pierces Olivia's head, a yelp uttered, giving the rest of the team her location. She doesn't move from her position, however. Not when she's surrounded. Their sights set on her, guns aimed at her head as they close in on her, stopping at a safe distance. They have their orders to catch and kill her and they didn't want any time wasted.

Another shot goes off and before it can reach her, she lifts her head from her knees, hues glowing white, transforming herself into an electric arc, dodging the bullet and passing through their weapons causing them to malfunction and explode as she reappears behind them, reforming slowly. Her hands sparking with white electricity as they turn to face her. They wanted a fight and they were going to get one.

One charges at her with haste. Expecting his attack, she propels herself into the air towards him, clotheslining him to the ground. She dodges a fist from the right, sending him flying back with a cataclysmic beam of electricity. The third one is able to get her in a choke hold, but she electrifies her body, sending a catastrophic voltage through him as she arcs herself away and reforming where she once was.

As his body convulses from the arcs passing through him, she snaps her fingers causing him to explode, emitting an outburst of electricity that ravages through the woods. The explosion is so big that both Mike and Fitz can see it from the chopper. They both shake their heads realizing their team failed yet again, cocking their weapons as they venture into the darkness to end Olivia as quick as they came.

And then there were three. The two remaining Hunters move to their feet, surviving the violent explosion. They underestimated her. Thinking she was some damsel in distress, a sheep, when really, she's a wolf. Drawing their blades, one in each hand, they take their stances, ready for what's to come. Or so they think. Olivia on the other hand stands tall, eyes and hands sparking alike with electricity.

Together, the Hunters take off towards her in a crisscrossing formation and with a smirk gracing her features, she generates a double-edged polearm, prepared for the attack. They strike together, each attack faster than the last though she dodges them with elegance, spinning her polearm and striking when she sees an opening. They don't stop, but they are weakened for each strike releases a bolt of electricity.

She doesn't underestimate them ever, but she does analyze their strike patterns to remain ahead of their attacks. Slicing one of the Hunters across their chest and sending the other flying back with a devastating blast of electricity from her polearm. That's when she adds pressure, stabbing the polearm into the ground, she somersaults into the air bringing her feet down on his head, kicking him down.

From there, she somersaults backwards, sending him flying into the air. Landing on the ground, she spins backwards, her sights locked on him as she throws her polearm with as much force as she can muster, piecing him through his chest. When he hits the ground, her weapon vanishes into nothingness as she approaches the last living Hunter. Her black tresses blowing in the wind as her hands continue to spark.

Mike and Fitz reach the grounds where the fight's taking place, but they don't make a move. Instead, Mike gets into position, his scope directly on Olivia.

"Just tell me when to take the shot, boss."

"You'll know when it's time." He squats beside Mike, curious to see what else this woman is capable of.

"I gave you a chance." Olivia speaks, voice unwavering. "You should've taken it."

With a palm facing the incapacitated Hunter, she releases an extreme electrical current into his body, eliciting sharp, pain-filled screams from his lips. There's no sign of remorse as she watches his body convulse, intensifying the voltage. His screams now sharp grunts that barely pass through his lips. As electricity sparks from her hands and his body, Mike takes the shot and silences ensues.

Her hands shaking, hues returning to normal, a sharp pain rises from her abdomen that brings her to her knees. A sharp grunt sounding from her lips. That's when she hears footsteps approaching her. Turning her attention to her right, her hand gracing her wound, she slowly rises to her feet, stumbling to keep her balance. Her vision slightly blurred, but she can see him clear as day.

He's tall. His cerulean hues so clear yet cloudy, both suffocating and liberating her making her feel as if he'd spare her. And though his broad shoulders complimenting his muscular frame and square jawline pull her in, his eyes are sincere, benevolent. Almost as if he were looking through her. The very sight shaking her core as her lips quiver with sheer fear, want and pure, unadulterated anger. And he sees her, too.

His hues wander over her petite frame. She's in shape which explains how she's been outrunning. Even through the destroyed clothing and scars, she's unlike anyone he's ever seen. She's beautiful. The most beautiful woman he's ever seen and for a moment, he's speechless, watching as her hues watch him. His expression remains stoic, but that doesn't stop him from taking her features to memory.

She's much shorter than he is. Her brown eyes so pure yet darkened, both intoxicating and stunning him making him feel something that's against the code he stands for. The curvature of her body's so perfect, hips and breasts protruding just enough. And although her body captivates him like no woman has since the death of his son, there's a pain hidden behind her eyes, a fire that wants to be free.

Mike notices Fitz's lack of action and takes another shot, missing her purposely to snap them out of whatever trance they're in.

"I won't miss the next one."

Fitz snarls, approaching Olivia. "You've done well avoiding us for so long. I see you've also had a little fun at our expense."

"Go to hell." She retorts, voice filled with venom as she spits the blood from her mouth. "I have nothing to say to you."

His hand graces her shoulder, the other hand retrieving his knife from his sheathe.

"On the contrary, you've said enough."

Before she can speak, he jags the knife into her abdomen, pulling it out and the stabbing her once more. She doesn't give him the satisfaction of reacting to the pain as her limbs go weak and she falls to the ground. Barely able to catch her breath. She watches as Fitz returns to Mike, her vision going dark as the blood loss becomes more severe from the gunshot and stab wound.

"A shot to the head will suffice."

Mike takes aim once more. "Roger that."

Without hesitation, he takes the shot and Olivia's life flashes before her eyes. But something unexpected happens. The blood from her wounds and the Hunters begin to rise into the air forming a hemisphere that stops the bullet. The blood begins to swirl like a miniature tornado, stopping the oncoming barrage of bullets Mike shoots with ease and suddenly, an unknown man wearing a hooded cape and metal talon finger claws on his right hand appears.

Kneeling, he places a hand on Olivia's shoulder.

"You'll be fine. I'm here to help you." His hues land on Mike and Fitz. There once confident expressions now filled with extreme consternation. "You two on the other hand. Not so much."

The blood that was once swirling halts in the air and with his hues transitioning to a bright red, fingertips glowing the same color he transmutes the blood to tiny spikes, sending a barrage flying towards them. Thinking quickly, Fitz grabs Mike and tackles him out of the way. The two of them taking cover behind a rock. While they're distracted, the unknown man creates a portal using the blood surrounding him.

Once the portal is formed, he helps a barely conscious Olivia off the ground, wrapping her arm around his neck. As they make their way to the portal, Fitz and Mike rush from behind the rock, the latter aiming their gun at Olivia and the unknown man, but Fitz places his hand on the gun which makes Mike lower it.

"I had a shot, Fitz."

"We let them go." He folds his arms across his chest, watching as they disappear into the portal before it vanishes. "For now."

She awakens in a bed that is not her own, eyes fluttering open as she graces her abdomen with a hand. The wounds extinct. This isn't the workings of her power which sets an alarm of in her head, but she remains calm. Carefully, she swings her feet to the floor, hues wandering around the room. The black decor with gold accents giving the room a modernized feel.

Oddly enough, she feels safe. Safer than she has felt in some time. Her gaze narrows when she notices a change of clothes on the chair in the corner along with a towel, a toothbrush and two wash rags. An inexplainable feeling then washes over her. The feeling of safety dematerializing as confinement rises. Another alarm goes off in her head as she rises to her feet, proceeding to the open door. That's when she hears the footsteps.

In a panic, she closes the door and locks it, retreating back to the bed. Her hues transition to white, hands sparking with electricity as she prepares for the worst. The footsteps stop at the door, but whoever's on the other side doesn't reach for the doorknob. Suddenly, a pool of blood forms in the middle of the room, the droplets rising into the air forming an outline of his body which attracts Olivia's 's attention.

She's never seen anything like it.

The unknown man suddenly reveals himself, the blood vanishing into nothingness as he stands tilted on his right hip, arms folded tightly across his chest and a look of understanding gracing his features. When she sees him, her hues return to normal and the electricity dissipates from her hands.

That's when it dawns on her.

"Ryan?" She can't believe her eyes. "I thought you were dead. How are you—how is this possible?"

"Death is only a mere construct to someone like me." He holds out a hand, hues transitioning to bright red as does his fingertips. Slowly, a ball of blood forms in the palm of his hand hovering in his palm.

"I can create, shape and manipulate blood of myself, others or from my surroundings. I can even generate it. This is how I was able to heal you and keep myself from dying the night when we last saw each other."

"Are you immortal?"

"No." He chuckles, hues returning to normal as the blood ball slowly vanishes into nothingness. "I can get old and die."

"And this place?"

"This is my haven. I brought you here because you would've died had I not." He proceeds to leave the room, motioning a hand to follow him in which she does.

"I'm going to skip the formalities and speak freely, Olivia." He folds his arms across his chest as they walk down the stairs. "We're at war. Have been for some time and I'm sure you know that. There's no middle ground, no reasoning with these so-called Hunters and as far as I know, they won't stop until we're all dead."

"Who are they? What do they want?"

"I'll let them explain it to you." He nods towards the group people standing around a metal table as is they've been expecting her. "I have some important matters to attend to."

With his hues flashing red, he liquifies into a puddle of blood, vanishing into nothingness while Olivia stand nervously before the group. That's when she notices one of the men smiling which eases her nerves.

"We don't bite." Stephen says, motioning a hand for her to come closer. And she does. "I'm Stephen. This is Abby, Huck and Quinn. Ryan took us in same as you and ever since then, we've been doing our best to help him disassemble the Hunters."

"Who are they?" She asks, folding her arms. "What do they want?"

"They're called Hunters. They're are genetically modified super-soldiers to sum it up whose only goal is to kill people like us. Most join their cause because of a run-in with an Elite that went sour. Others because they don't like change."

A soft hum sounds from her chest. "And all of you are gifted?"

He laughs. "Yes. I have been blessed with the ability of force-field manipulation. I can also render myself or anything I choose invisible. Huck here has the ability of size manipulation. With this ability he can increase the size of himself to be a hulking giant. Quinn is a telekinetic. And Abby is telepathic. Aside from that she can also turn her body into diamond. We keep this place safe while using our abilities to save those being hunted."

"What category are you? I know that's a strange question, but it didn't mean anything to me then, but when I had my encounter with them, I heard category five over their comms."

"Ah, yes. We're all category fives. It's why there's so little of us here. Others have been killed." Her words piqued his curiosity. "You mentioned an encounter. With whom?"

Her brows furrow in bemusement. "I—I don't remember."

"I can help with that." Abby approaches Olivia, her now yellow hues locked on Olivia's. A hand gracing her cheek.

The moment skin contact is made, Abby begins to see Olivia's encounter through her eyes. So many vivid flashes in her mind as she retrieves the information piece by piece with little to no strain. And that's when she sees them. Both appearing as if they were Gods sent to annihilate all things evil.

"Fitzgerald Grant and Mike Wilcox." She removes her hand and proceeds to where she was standing, hues returning to normal. "Also known as were in a shitload of trouble."

"You've faced them before?" Olivia's thoughts tracing back to when she first saw Fitz. It kills her to know that someone so capable of killing people like her made her weak. "How did you survive?"

"We have." Huck answers. "And who's to say we survived? Our lives will never be the same after facing them. As far as I know, we're all dead. Figuratively speaking."

"Each encounter with them took pieces of us." Quinn adds. "Pieces that we'll never get back. And they won't stop. They're ruthless. And the only reason we're alive today is because Ryan saved every one of us."

"How?" She's trying her best to retain everything.

Steven huffs, a chuckle following. "By kicking their asses."

"He's been a fighter his entire life. Trained by his parents' way before his powers awakened. He knows his shit, but he says you two are friends."

"We were—are—I don't know. The last time I saw him he was dead."

"Oh." The surprise is prevalent. "We'll just say you are since you're here."

"That works." She chuckles. "So, why am I here?"

"Because you're going to help us dismantle whatever hierarchy they have." Ryan answers, entering the room. "But because I'm not here to force you, I want you to make the decision for yourself. Run or fight, Olivia?"

She's always been on the run. Never having a chance to stay in one place for too long. Not with the threat constantly looming over her. She's afraid, but she knows she can't run forever nor can she pretend that she wasn't invigorated when she killed those men she faced.

With a smirk gracing her features, hues glowing white, she moves closer to the table.

"Count me in."

X

"You mind telling me why you let her go?" Mike asks, irritated as they walk through the halls of the R Foundation. "We could've killed her. You could've killed her."

"That's not the point." He responds, voice unwavering.

"Then what is the point?" His hand graces Fitz's shoulder, stopping him. "Our mission is to kill them. Nothing more, nothing less."

"I know what the mission is, Mike. I don't need a pep talk."

"Clearly, you do because had I not fired the first round you and that disease would've been making googly eyes at each—"

A hand to Mike's neck, Fitz slams him against the wall, squeezing.

"You are not the boss here... I am. And if you ever speak out of pocket to me again—"

"You'll do... what?" He removes Fitz's hand, pushing him back. "Hm? Because if you want to be technical, you're not the boss, Fitz. Rowan is." He steps into his personal space, jaw clenched. "You may be able to son everyone else in here, but I'm not one of those people. Are we clear?"

Fitz nods. "Crystal."

"Straighten yourself up." He pats his shoulder. "We have a job to do we need you to be focused."

"Just give me a moment."

Without a word, Mike proceeds to the briefing room whereas Fitz takes a moment for himself to shake off the lingering thoughts of Olivia. It's the reason he snapped on Mike when he shouldn't have. He can't seem to figure out why he still thinks of her when she's against everything he stands for, everything he's fought for since becoming a Hunter. It's a travesty, really. One he must overcome.

Heaving a deep sigh, he wipes a hand down his face and proceeds to the briefing room. Upon entering, he takes his seat at the table next to Mike and gives Rowan the floor. He's usually never in these meetings unless something is wrong.

"You failed to capture Olivia." He wastes no time with getting started. "She is a category five Elite and you let her go?" His hues fixated upon Fitz.

"I did."

"Why?"

"It's simple. She'll lead us to the others."

"Oh!" He bursts into laughter. "To the others! How could I be so dense?" He swipes his finger across the briefing room table which brings up a holographic image of a hooded Ryan. "This other? The other that was able to best you?"

"Precisely."

"Do you think that's smart? Chasing after him in hopes to get her?"

"I do."

"Tell me why, son." He begins a steady pace around the table. "What could you possibly know that I don't?"

"I know that you underestimate my intellect. I know that the woman you have us hunting won't sit around doing absolutely nothing. Not when she has help." He rises to his feet, swiping across the table bringing up a holographic image of a codex. "Not when the man she went with needs this."

Mike leans forward. "Is that—?"

"The codex? Yes. All our dirty little secrets hidden in a drive inside a secure vault only we have access to. This is what they want. It's what they all want. Olivia joining his side doesn't change that for she'll want it, too. Especially when she lost so much."

Consternation washes over Rowan making him shift uncomfortably, his jaw clenching as Mike's hues wander from Fitz to Rowan. This is an unexpected turn of events.

"And what did she lose?"

"Everything. Same as me. Same as Mike. And probably same as you."

Rowan relaxes. Crisis averted. "You're right, but I'm sensing that you do not agree with my methods, Fitz."

"Your methods are fine, just concealed. It's hard to tell if we're the good of the world or if the men and women we kill every day are."

"With these thoughts of yours, why are you still here?" He folds his arms. A simple question to pick Fitz's brain. "You can leave anytime you want."

"We both know that's a lie. We're tethered to you for as long as we live. Your prized possessions. So, to clarify. I may have these thoughts as any person working under you would, but I want to see all Elites perish. And in order to do that, we need to be smart about it. Brute force won't work this time."

"Do you trust Fitz, Mike?"

"I do, yeah."

"And you're willing to put everything on the line for this hunch he has?"

Mike's hues land on Fitz. "I am. He's never led the team down a wrong path before."

Rowan takes a moment to think. This method isn't the conventional way to do things, but if Fitz is right, this could bring Olivia and her hooded friend right to them. An easy kill.

"Fine. You have twenty-four hours."

In an underground facility just west of Ryan's haven, he and Olivia make their way through the abandoned tunnels. After the briefing, they geared up and wasted no time finding the offshore location where the codex was located. They knew the Hunters would be guarding the place, but they were more than ready for a fight, especially Olivia who's been running her entire life to barely escape their clutches.

As usual, Ryan was dressed in an all-black ensemble with his hooded cape and metal talon finger claws on his right hand. Olivia on the other hand was dressed in a pair of black jeans, heeled, leather ankle boots and a black, leather biker jacket. She's ready to face them again if it comes to it. More confident than she was when she was alone. That fire in her eyes burning brighter than before.

"You know they'll be expecting us." She glances at him. "This could be a trap."

"It is. Nothing is ever what it seems with Hunters. You'll come to understand that pretty quickly."

"So, were here to ruffle some feathers?"

"We are." He chuckles. "I think we deserve to have a little fun."

A hum rumbles from her chest. "I agree."

As they close in on the door, the sound of guns reloading attract their attention, bringing them to a stop. Lo and behold, Ryan was right. It was a trap.

Pushing the button on their wrist watches, the cloaking the guards used to remain hidden fades away revealing what appeared to be a dozen of them, maybe more. This sight alone entices Ryan and Olivia both, so much they agree to take turns.

"I'll let you take these ones." She motions a hand to them before folding her arms. "This is a test of trust."

His hues transition to bright red. "So be it."

"Take one more step and we'll blow both of your heads off!" Captain in command warns, training his scope on Ryan's head, his team following suit aiming at Olivia.

Fingertips on his right hand glowing the same as his eyes, he begins a slow stride towards them, generating a haemokinetic whip sword. Half sword, half whip. Seeing as he didn't comply with the command, the guard captain shoots a cataclysmic beam of energy Ryan's way that shakes the ground beneath.

Snarling lowly, Ryan spins rapidly. The sword now whip spinning around him, protecting him from the beam. This doesn't stop him from spinning. Gaining enough speed, he grunts loudly, arcing the whip towards one of the guards, the bladed tip striking him through the chest causing blood to flow profusely from the wound.

When the guards now lifeless body falls to the ground, shooting commences. Olivia quickly protects herself with a barrier composed of electricity while Ryan propels himself forward, forming an exoskeleton from blood that and protects him from the oncoming barrage of energy beams attempting to tear through him as he clotheslines one to the floor, dodging a barrage of bullets from the right.

Grabbing the gun, he aims it at another two guards, killing him before flipping onto his neck, and ripping his throat out. As his body falls to the floor, Ryan vaults towards another one, knees to chest, drop-kicking him into a wall, using his whip sword to latch onto the ceiling assisting him in a quick spin kick, sending the captain flying.

Landing perfectly on the ground, his hues flash bright red, transitioning his whip to a sword once more. Surrounded, he laughs manically, stabbing his sword into the ground.

"Spread apart."

And just like that, the haemokinetic shards that make the sword come crashing from below, flying around him. And as the rest of the guards including the captain rise to their feet, the latter wiping the blood from his mouth, Ryan waves his fingers, sending the shards their way. They try their best to defend themselves, but the blades simply ripped through them, lacerating their bodies until nothing was left.

And that's when it clicked. They weren't Hunters like they thought.

"Olivia!" He exclaims, extending a hand to her which sends his blood exoskeleton to her, protecting her as a grenade composed of energy drops in their vicinity, the explosion sending him flying further away while she was able to absorb most of it. Still, the impact knocks her into a wall.

As the exoskeleton disperses from her body, she slowly moves to her feet to be met by Fitz and Mike standing before her.

"Go and make sure he's dead." Fitz commands. "I'll handle her."

"Roger that."

Mike takes off quickly in the direction where Ryan's body should be while Fitz retrieves his knives. He's not interested in talking. Only killing her and protecting the codex from being stolen.

"This time you die for real, Olivia."

Her hues transitioning to white, hands sparking with electricity.

"I'd like to see you try."

With a low growl, he charges towards her, kneeing her back against the wall. He attempts to bring a knife to her chest, but she gracefully dodges, side cartwheeling just before the knife can make impact. He flips the knife in his hand and rushes after her with calculated swings, but she avoids each slash by somersaulting backwards. This angers him, causing him to rush her, spearing her into a wall, eliciting a grunt.

The impact is enough to incapacitate her for a moment, but before he can make his next move, she arcs herself through the lights of the tunnels, reappearing behind him unscathed, shooting an immense bolt of electricity that sending him crashing through the wall into another room. One with more metal than the last. As he recovers, he retrieves his knifes and throws them her way with extreme force.

Her hands sparking with electricity, she electro-telekinetically maneuvers them away from her, vaulting into the air. Before she can attack him, he grabs her by the ankles and slams her onto the metal cot, mounting her, hands around her throat. She struggles to breathe, oxygen leaving her lungs as quick as she could gain it. The look in his eyes wasn't the same as the one she found herself wanting more of.

This one... was deadly. Remorseless.

As his hands constrict her throat to the point of bruising her skin, she grips the edge of the cot and with a loud scream, she summons a bolt of electricity from above that strikes them both, traveling through their bodies and with the room having a significant amount of metal, the results are catastrophic. Trapping Fitz in a giant conductor as she vanishes from beneath him. Soft grunts sounding from his lips.

He's trapped momentarily.

A sudden bolt of electricity strikes the wall outside the room and Olivia appears, using it to keep her balance. Exhausted doesn't even begin to explain how she feels, but she has a job to do and that's to retrieve the codex at all costs. Inhaling sharply, she takes off running towards the vault, but before she can reach the door Fitz grabs her neck from behind and throws her down the hallway.

"I must admit, Olivia. You put up a good fight, but I'm afraid this is where it ends."

Recovering from the impact, she rises to her feet. She doesn't have anything else to say for all she can see is rage. She's close to completing the mission and with Ryan nowhere to be found, she's the only hope. With her hues transitioning to white, she generates a generates a double-edged polearm, spinning it between both hands before launching it at him, vaulting towards him.

He catches the weapon, but it explodes sending a violent shock throughout his body eliciting a sharp grunt from his lips. Before he recovers, she lands on his neck and flips him to the ground, combat rolling to her feet. She allows him to get up and, in this time, she empowers herself using electricity, augmenting her condition increasing her strength. As he darts towards her, she somersaults forward, foot sparking with electricity, bringing her heel down on his head, sending him to the floor.

This doesn't stop him. He pushes himself up immediately, wiping the blood from his mouth. She's the first person to accomplish such feat and as impressed as he may be, his orders are clear. Eliminate Olivia. He charges her once more, this time more calculated engaging in a fistfight. Her graceful technique versus his brute strength and years of training under Rowan's command.

They go blow for blow. His fist to her stomach, her heel piercing his chest. They both show zero signs of quitting until Olivia thinks outside the box.

His fist just inches away from her face, she arcs herself away and reforms behind him, an electric whip around his neck that spreads down his body, immobilizing him. Lips pressed against his ear as he struggles to break free.

"You might be stronger, but I'm a lot smarter." She whispers, voice filled with venom. "Tell your boss nice try."

"You fucking—"

Before he can finish his sentence, she electrifies his entirety. His screams echoing off the walls.

"Consider this a favor."

With her entire being becoming made of electricity, she musters as much power as she can and surrounds him with it causing him to vanish into nothingness. He'll reappear somewhere far from her location giving her enough time to grab the codex and escape.

"Shit." She slowly returns to normal, using the wall as support. She's never done anything like that nor was she sure it would work.

Be that as it may, she rushes to the vault door. Upon reaching it, she places her hand on the door and heats it using her abilities. The door gets so hot it starts to melt at her feet. Enough for her to arc herself into the vault, retrieve the codex and arc herself out. Proceeding to the exit as quick as she came.

Love you all.
