Chapter 2
The words of the mayor made me start chuckling, "You have no idea." I started my walk when I remembered the round mayor did not answer my question, "Now how do I get to the tower?"
The mayor shrugged as tears streamed down his face, "Don't hurt me."
A green boy who is no taller than five foot two. He didn't remind me of a superhero at first glance, considering he resembled a scrawny geek with big feet. He had a tee shirt with the word "BATMAN" in yellow on the front in big letters. The boy had on bulky black sunglasses. He also had a slurpee in his right hand. His jeans were extremely tight showing off his chicken legs. His hair was slicked back with cheap gel. Beast boy.
He was humming a tune while bouncing to the beat. He crossed the street at the crosswalk and was barely missed by a speeding minivan. Garfield barely seemed to notice. When he reached the curb that was parallel to the route I was taking to the tower, he stopped and pushed his glasses down the bridge of his nose.
His tongue flapped out like a dog as he got on his hands and knees. I squatted to make eye contact with him, "Can you help me?" I widened my eyes, trying to look as innocent and clueless as possible.
"Anything!" Garfield took me by my hand to help me up off the sidewalk. His sunglasses were up on his head, pushing back his hair from his face.
"The nice mayor over there called Robin from the Teen Titans team." I gestured over to the rounded man who was almost out of eye shot, "And Robin said I could make a visit to the famous landmark here in Jump City. It is called the Titan's Tower. I am having trouble finding it, let alone getting in."
"Lucky for you, I am an important member of the Teen Titans. In fact, I was on my way to the tower." Garfield motioned for me to hop on his back.
Vibrations filled my inner thighs and I felt bones shifting in and out of place. His clothes disappeared as a furry creature lay beneath me. A cheetah. Its green fur was covered in darker spots. Its white teeth erupted out of its lips. With the force of the wind my neck snapped back as it started galloping towards a lake with rose colored rocks in it.
