Chapter 4

GARFIELD'S JOURNAL

It had been such a long time since Raven left us for "camp" as she called it. Since Raven is from some planet billions of suns and moons away, she hasn't really seen the wilderness. Apparently, I am not exotic enough for my long lost love (never mind the "lost" part, well if you do that, never mind the "long" part as well). Anyways, it's been a total of twelve whole hours!

To cheer myself up from over half of my soul missing, I went to go to JUMP MARKET. They have these slushies. My favorite is mango-coconut. But they were out, adding on to my already terrible day. In fact, all of the slushie machines were down. So, I was stuck with a slurpee. (Trust me, they are widely different.) Which made my day even worse. The best thing to do was make my way home which usually takes like ten minutes, but I wanted to do it in five. I'm strolling down the street with my super cool shades on, and then it happened. Or rather she. The second I saw her pale pink skin, I had to crouch to stop my head from spinning out of proportion. Usually, the female species assume I'm looking at their legs when really, I am just trying to get my head right.

I have in the past touched one (a leg I mean), in the crouching position, but I swear it wasn't on purpose. More of a happy accident. But, this girl, I mean woman. She crouched down right with me, attempting to catch me in my eyes. I could tell she was trying to seem charming, but her smile was odd. Crooked, one corner of her mouth was higher than the other. Her teeth were unusually bright, almost out of this world (pun not intended).

I could tell she was just special, she was unique and yet familiar. Somebody else that I know can't exactly smile either. Not only that, but she was wearing a cloak. The shadow from the white cloak hid a white gem (later I found out it is not a gem). Her light blue eyes weren't familiar at all but mesmerizing, along with her white hair.

She took me by my hand and awed in my presence, like I was some sort of God to her. Of course, I am to almost everyone, but it is still nice to watch. This woman needed something from me, to get into my headquarters/ home (aka; Titans Tower). She said she already gotten permission from Robin, so it must have been okay. I even saw her conversing with the mayor. What was weird about her was that she started "Robin" with a "D" (not Drobin, D-Robin). I think it was just a stutter, it happens.

We eventually reached the lake and half-way into it, she seemed sad and angry. She said it was this cloud. A cloud. She blamed her sister for making her father basically abuse her. She also blamed her mom. Not much about her brother, but he seems nice :). This is another reminder of how Raven left me behind, with only the words, "I am going camping, see you eventually.".

I learned her name was Altair which is a bright stair in some constellation. She told me it was a bird, her father was obsessed with them. But I believe her father loved her the most not naming her for some bird. Raven is a bird. Man, I need to stop thinking about her. I am with Altair (not officially, but physically), she appears older, and her life more put together. Frankly, we are complete, udder opposites.

I opened the door to the tower, using my very exclusive key card and took her to the top floor where the kitchen and living room are. (Along with the main headquarter intelligence station hidden super cool spots but nobody knows but the Titans and I).
