Three Weeks Later...
Darkwing, who had recovered from the bullet in his arm(thankfully not his chest), waited for Launchpad and the girls to get back to SHUSH. Ashley, knowing nearly the full story, was forced to explain everything to J. Gander Hooter. It had been two hours and they hadn't returned.
Gosalyn and Lillis waited with him and watched as he stared down at the bay, waiting for his daughter and best friend to return.
"Dad, she'll be here soon. Can ya stop staring out at the bay?!" Lillis asked. "No! News flash Lillis, I haven't seen my best friend/sidekick in two months and he would've died if I didn't get there. "You also nearly died yourself! Your lucky to have survived!" Lillis said, taking Gosalyn's hand and storming off, leaving Darkwing alone.
"So he was kidnapped and not dead this whole time?" Mr. Hooter summed up after Ashley's third explanation. "Yeah pretty much." Ashley answered. "Makes sense." Hooter said. Launchpad stood next to her and followed her out the door once they had finished explaining everything.
"Good god we've been gone two hours! Dad's probably worried sick!" Ashley muttered, climbing into the Thunderquack.
"He's probably more worried about me." Launchpad countered. "Of course he would! You've gone two months. Heck, he was pretty much the definition of "my entire family was killed by a psychopath so imma lay on my bed and cry all day!" the entire time you were gone!" Ashley explained. "Was he really?" Launchpad asked. "More or less." Ashley said.
"And the others?" Launchpad asked. "Everyone felt bad. Even the fearsome four felt bad for me. Gosalyn and Lillis's classes gave them and dad 'Get Well' cards cause they were so sad. Honker...well...took it hardly too." Ashley said. "But DW took it harder?" Launchpad asked.
"Yeah." Ashley said. "Wow." Launchpad said. "He took it really hard. Your his best friend and if anything happened to you, he lose his mind." Ashley said, parking the Thunderquack.
Gosalyn and Lillis were ecstatic to see them return. Darkwing didn't notice until Launchpad noticed Darkwing sitting near the edge of a window.
Darkwing sat there, hoping neither of them were hurt or dead.
"DW?" Launchpad asked, wondering why he hadn't noticed their return. Darkwing flinched at his name and turned to look at Launchpad. "L-Launchpad?" Darkwing stammered out, nearly on the verge of tears. "Who else would it be?" Launchpad said.
Darkwing stood a mere 5 feet away from Launchpad before finally bursting into tears of joy. "LAUNCHPAD!!!" He screamed, crashing into his best friend, who had been gone for so long.
The girls watched the reunion and smiled, happy to see their dad back with his best friend. "Well now that we're all together again, who wants to destroy some villains?" Lillis asked. The others agreed.
I think I should've mentioned that the fearsome five minus Negaduck got turned into 11-year-olds. I'll make a fanfiction on what happened and how they got turned into preteens. Anyways, I finally got to make the final chapter for The Rise Of Negaduck and now it's done! Peace out homies!!!!
