Prologue

Makoto POV

I sat up, rubbing my eyes. Wow, that was a weird dream. I remembered a girl, with longish brown hair, standing in front of what seemed to be a ritual circle. The only thing I recognized in the circle of gibberish was-was that was the Fairy Tail logo? I shook my head, trying to get the thought out of my head and suddenly noticed he was wearing clothes. What? thought Makoto. Then I looked at myself in the mirror. He was in a blue jacket, with a blue shirt, with black trimming on the bottom. Then I looked down at my feet and realized I was wearing navy blue sneakers. Since when did I start wearing blue? And did I wear this to bed? I decided to go ask my parents, but when I opened the door, I found myself outside. What? I looked around and saw two weirdos wearing some kind of brown tunic. I was about to walk over to ask about where I was, when I overheard their conversation

"-thought Magnolia would have better prices for red dye, but it's even higher!" one of them said.

"Yeah, So disappointing," the other replied. Wait, Magnolia? I thought. Isn't that where the Fairy Tail guild is located? Wait, am I in an anime? I began to panic. How did I get here, and how do I get out? As I was pondering these thoughts, I didn't notice a gang of 4, burly men walking up towards me.

"You!" one of them said as he shoved me. "That jacket looks expensive, and we're taking it."

"Uh, no thank you," I said as I slowly backed away. I had no idea if the people were wizards, and if they weren't, I wouldn't have any chance against them anyway.

"Eh, you don't have a choice anyway," replied the same guy.

"Ok, see ya!" I said, then bolted for the woods.

"Hey! Get back here!" yelled the shorter one as they began chasing them. I jumped over a fallen log and accidentally swallowed three different spider webs. I heard loud crashing noises behind me, with a laser-shooting past my head. I had a sudden instinct to turn around, and say something. I jumped around and chanted:

"Magic Barrier! General Mode!" A gray and black tiled box surrounded two of the men in the group. Surprised, the one with the laser spear tried to blast me, but no energy came out.

"What!" the leader gasped in surprise. Crunch. A man wearing a white and blue cloak and a white staff appeared behind the group, zapped them with electricity. While they were busy fighting, I jumped into a bush and peaked out my head. What was that? I thought. Is that my magic, to disable people's magic? Why did I get this specific power?

"Wen!" a voice called. "Why did you abandon your post?"

"Sorry Lohar!" replied Wen. "I heard a commotion in the woods and went to investigate, then found these fools."

"That's fine, but remember, we're guarding something very important." Replied Lohar, then gestured to Wen to follow him. Curious, I decided to follow them. Quietly getting out of the bush, I began following them.

After what felt like hours, I finally stumbled onto a was seemed liked an archegonial site, with a bunch of white tents surrounding a huge boulder. Not a boulder, a meteorite. I realized. The two people I had been trailing had vanished into one of the larger tents. It was dark out, so I assumed that they had gone to bed. Even though Lohar, the Magical Council Officer (I had remembered who he was), had said the site was important, they hadn't posted any night guards. As I had been thinking about that, I hadn't noticed I had walked up to the meteorite. Unconsciously, I began climbing the rock. Why am I climbing this rock? Ithought. I tried to stop, but my hands kept moving, and I found myself on top of the meteorite. Then I reached into the meteorite and pulled a glowing blue rock. It glowed as if it had a heartbeat. Accept me, I can help you survive in this world.said the rock in my head.

"What?" I said out loud, then covered my mouth. Is this rock talking to me? I thought. Yes, you idiot, now will you accept my help or not? Said the rock. I considered its proposition. I was kind of foreign in this land, even if I had watched the anime. Maybe this rock could help me get back to the real world. Fine. I thought to the rock. But I'm going to call you Mike. A moment later, Mike turned into liquid and seeped into my skin. A moment later, I felt a sharp pain in my left forearm. I glanced down at it and noticed the glowing rock appeared on my skin. I touched it and suddenly, armor started to form around me and covered my face. A second later, a visor appeared on my face, and I could see again.

"Woah!" I gasped. I glanced at my arms again, and saw they were covered with white armor, with gold stripes on the edges of my arms.

"Hey, what are you doing here kid?" I heard a voice below. I glanced down, to see a mage standing at the entrance of a tent. Soon, more wizards gathered and crowded around the rock.

"You!" yelled Lohar. "Surrender and come down the boulder!" When I didn't come down, he ordered some of his men to climb the rock. They began to climb, advancing quickly up the rock. Uh, is there a way I can get out of this? I asked Mike. Yeah, just deploy your magic rocket. My what?! Just click the middle of your back.I was skeptical about this "Magic Rocket" but I really didn't have a choice. Tap. A moment later, a small pack popped out of my back and roared to life. A small blue beam pushed me upwards and started to push me backward. Before you ask, I am the one controlling the rocket.I was just about to ask that question, so nodded gratefully.

"Did that kid just take flight?" asked Wen.

"Yes, I believe he just did." Replied Lohar with an exasperated look.

"Wo-ho!" I yelled as I flew into the moonlight. Where to? asked Mike. Uh, I think I want to start a journey; I still need to work out my powers. Also, I'm kind of a newbie to this whole mage thing. I replied. Well, I have an idea of where to go.I flipped my body around and assumed a superman position, minus the extended arms. Suddenly I moved to the right and accelerated. I had no idea where Mike was taking me, but I was ready for the adventure.
