Chapter 1
My name is Anastasia McGarrett. I am the middle of three (older brother Steve, me, younger sister Mary). My dad John was a police officer for the Honolulu Police Department (HPD). You could say I followed in his footsteps. I work for a task force called Hawaii Five-O, led by my brother. Steve is a Lieutenant Commander of the United States Navy. He can speak Hawaiian,English,Korean and Mandarin. Steve is very keen when observing things,is resourceful,very adept with technology,highly adept in water and more. Steve's second-in-command is Detective Sergeant Danny Williams. Danny is from the Mainland (New Jersey) and he's one of my brother's best friends (even though they fight like a old married couple). Next, we have Detective Chin-Ho Kelly. He worked with my dad. Dad was his mentor so I have known Chin for a long time. Next, we have our rookie, Officer Kono Kalakaua. She is Chin's cousin and my best friend. She used to be a pro surfer until she hurt her knee. She followed in her family's footsteps and decided to become a police officer. As for me, I am a Detective Lieutenant. I can speak English, Hawaiian, French and Spanish. I'm advanced in hand to hand combat (thanks to Steve) and I'm highly adept in water.
A few months ago, my brother was kidnapped by a man named Wo Fat. It took our team, Lieutenant Commander Joe White, pilot Frank Bama, Commanding Officer Wade Gutches, some of Wade's men and our new member Special Agent Lori Weston to save my brother. I couldn't go since I was sick. It was when I found out I was pregnant.
