Today was the day they were going to get the arts back. At least, that was the dream. The New Directions were all currently in their Auditorium, practising whilst they wait for The Warblers to arrive.
They waited for over an hour and when they did finally arrive, there was something wrong. Sebastian, Thad and Wes were no-where to be found.
"Where's Sebastian?" Santana asked the group, her hands resting on her hips.
"Yeah where are Thad and Wes, too?" Quinn asked, a feeling of uncertainty bubbling away in her chest.
"We don't know," Trent began, concern on his face, "David and I went to Thad and Sebastian's dorm room to find it completely empty and we tried calling Wes but his phone's going straight to voicemail"
Kurt and Blaine shared a look. They both knew that Thad and Sebastian were currently battling their own demons, but the fact that Wes had completely dropped off the radar too was even more concerning.
"Have you guys tried calling Sebastian and Thad?" Mercedes asked. She was standing beside Mike, Sam and Sugar, warming up.
Nick and Jeff pulled out Thad and Sebastian's phones from their pockets. Mr. Schuster looked seriously concerned.
"Alright, we need to think logically about this," Will began, gaining everyone's attention, "Sebastian, Thad and Wes have had no contact with anyone," Everyone listened to Will as he listed off all of their information, "Nick and Jeff have Thad and Sebastian's cell phones and Wes' phone is off"
"Can we at least assume that they're all together?" Rachel asked, "You said Thad and Sebastian share a dorm together and if you found their phones together then that means those two are together"
"She's right," Puck began, to everyone's surprise, "Sebastian and Thad must be together. It makes sense. Wes' phone could be dead but he could be with them"
Even with all of their reassurances, no-one knew if they were okay.
"Does anyone have any idea why those three would just ghost us?" Finn asked, "I mean, we all heard Wes and Sebastian's testimony yesterday. Neither of them seem like they would stop unless something awful happened"
"Maybe they're all still at Dalton? Does Sebastian drive? Were any of their cars in the parking area?" Blaine asked the group. Truth be told, he was getting very concerned by the second and it wasn't helping that they didn't have their phones.
"Sebastian's car was there, as was Thad's and Wes'" Nick said grimly.
"Okay, this is what is going to happen," Will began after being quiet for a little while, "I'm going to call the Dean of Dalton, see if they signed themselves out during the night or if they're still on the property"
Will left the room seconds later, leaving the two show choir groups to themselves.
Nick, Jeff, Trent and David all looked at each other.
Hopefully the trio came back safe and sound.
It had been two hours since The Warblers arrived and they still had no leads on their whereabouts. During Will's call with the Dean of Dalton, she had admitted to speaking to Wes minutes before he took Sebastian and Thad off of the school compound. At least someone knew something regarding it. Although she had refused to giving off their location, she did explain that the trio were safe and would be arriving shortly. That calmed a lot of people down.
The groups were busy practising when the trio finally entered the building, all three of them looking run down. Nick, Jeff, Trent, David, Santana, Brittany, Kurt and Blaine ran over to them and pulled them all into a group hug, much to Sebastian's dismay. Once the hug ended, the trio were bombarded with questions and demands.
"Shouldn't you all be practising rather then interrogating us?" Wes began, "I know we missed quite a bit of rehearsal time but we've got over 2 hours until we need to pull this off so let's work our asses of people!"
That got everyone moving towards the stage.
Will stared at Wes with a questioning look and Wes returned it a look that said, I'll-explain-it-all-soon-but-right-now-we-need-to-get-this-done. Mr. Schuster nodded his head understandingly and took control over the two show choir groups.
They rehearsed until Sebastian's father arrived but he wasn't alone. Not only was Coach Sylvester with him, he had a couple friends of his who were also very high in power and proud supporters of Sue's campaign accompanying him. This made Sebastian's anxiety skyrocket. Kurt seemed to have noticed as they waited backstage for the adults to get settled into their respective seats. The New Directioner walked towards The Warbler and pulled him away from the curtain, trying to keep his mind from wandering away from where they were in the present day.
"Bas, whatever happens is not your fault," Kurt told him, keeping a firm grip on his wrist. The grip loosened significantly, however, when he saw a wince flash across Sebastian's face. He saw the frightened look on Sebastian's face and he quickly pulled the teen to the side-lines. He made sure no-one was looking before he pulled Sebastian's sleeve up, paling at the massacre on his wrist. Sebastian weakly pulled his hand away and managed to gather enough strength to pull his sleeve back down.
"Don't tell the others," He said softly, "They can't know.. please"
Just as Kurt was about to argue against Sebastian's decision, Will began introducing them to the stage so he rapidly nodded his head and got into his starting position as if he hadn't just seen his former bully have self-inflicted wounds up his arm.
"Give it up for The Dalton Academy Warblers and the New Directions!"
