Hello, guys, it's been a long time, well life came in the way, and to those who follow this story, I'm sorry. But hey, here's a new chapter. I hope you'll enjoy it.

Snowflakes were slowly falling on the streets in this usual ice-cold night, as he made his way through the dark alleyways of the city. His instructions were clear. Find the informant, get the information and then get the hell out of here. Easy right? Kristoff pulled his hood closer into his face, shuddering. He once loved the cold, the ice, just everything about winter, but that was a long time ago.

He went around a corner and almost stumbled over something, to be more specific over someone.

"Shit."

He breathed as he caught the glimpse of a frozen corpse laying on the ground. It was not like it was the first one he saw. There were always people here and there who succumbed to the cold and were just left in the streets. But it still shocked him every time and guilt welled up inside of him. He shuck his head, he must stay focused.

Quickly he sneaked along the buildings hidden by their shadows. Here and there he could see lights through the frozen windows, the only indicator that there were still people living here. While he was going, he tried to remember what Hans told him.

"How will I know it's him?" Kristoff asked, stroking the red curls resting on his bare chest. The body laying on him straightened up and green eyes met his brown ones. Hans let his hand wander over his muscular chest and stomach. His gaze shifted to something behind Kristoff, while he was thinking.

"He will carry a glowing piece of ice with him. You know the ones she uses to light up her castle."

Kristoff inhaled sharply as Hans roughly scratched over his skin at the mention of her. The redhead immediately noticed and stroked the spot carefully, giving his lover an apologetic look.

"I can only trust you with this important mission. You have to be careful and come back in one piece. "

Kristoff cupped his lover's cheek, trying to smooth over the concerned expression.

"I'll be back in no time."

It was these rare moments in which Hans showed his true face, a side which only Kristoff knew. In these moments in which he wasn't Hans the ruler, but the real Hans, his boyfriend, his soulmate, who now gave him a deep and soft kiss.

The memory faded, as Kristoff caught a small blue light in the distance. Bingo. He quickly made his way towards the light, he noticed that he was now in the Black-Forest park. Eventually, he reached the source.

Then talked into a speaking device that was attached to his ear.

"Smith, can you hear me? He is not here."

"What do you mean he is not here?"

Kristoff walked up the glowing ice, which was hanging from the branch of a tree. He took it into his hand, examining it.

"He left the ice here and left. I have a bad feeling abou-."

He couldn't finish his sentence as seven men sprung out of the shadows startling Kristoff.

"Bjorgman what is going on?"

The blonde quickly recovered and reacted immediately as the first one approached him. With a swift motion, he caught the fist which was flying towards his face, took his attacker's arm in both hands, and smashed the limb over his knee, causing a disgusting crack to fill the air around them. A piercing scream escaped the man and he fell to the ground grasping his now broken arm. The blonde finished him with a hard kick to his chin. He couldn't even take a breath as his next opponent threw himself onto him, with a loud roar. Kristoff and his attacker flew to the ground, his head hitting a trunk, which made him dizzy for a second. He suddenly felt two hands grasping his throat, pressing his airways shut. The attacker wore a mask, just as he did, so he could only see his eyes, and they were wild, sparking with hate. With his whole strength, Kristoff tried to push the man off of him, but due to his lack of oxygen, he felt how his view got blurry, his lungs screaming for air. With the last bit of strength, he could muster, he head-bumped his attacker, who yelled in surprise and loosened his grip a few seconds. Filling his hurting lungs with fresh, cold air, Kristoff grabbed the man by his head, and with a quick but strong movement, he spun his head, breaking his neck. He kicked the lifeless body off of him and was about to stand up, ready to face his next opponents. His movements stilled, as he felt a cool metal pressed to his temple. His blood went cold and his heart dropped.

"General Bjorgman answer please."

The voice of his teammate rang in his ear, almost desperate.

"Don't move or I will blow your brain out, blondie."

The man with the gun hissed between gritted teeth. Kristoff felt how two pairs of strong hands pinned his arms behind his back. Oh great.

"What do you want from me?"

Kristoff asked breathlessly trying to turn his head to the side to get a better look at the man. As far as he knew, if they wanted to kill him, they wouldn't have hesitated to do so. The informant was either a double agent or changed sides last minute. This wasn't the first time for this to happen, but this time Kristoff was pretty sure he could trust his informant. He was after all one of the men who trained with Kristoff since they were teenagers. Whatever it was, it didn't matter anymore. I have to find a way to get out of this.

He heard a command from his device before the line went silent.

"I SAID DON'T MOVE"

The man shouted, aggressively pushing the gun against his head. He roughly snatched Kristoff's mask off his face.

"You will come with us. You're Bjorgman, your leader's right hand if I'm right?"

The man whispered into his ear, and a chill went down Kristoff's spine. With that, his eyes sparked dangerously and the blonde felt a cold claw grabbing his heart. How could they know? Nobody knows. He just realized the extent of consequences it brought with it. He was Hans's weak spot and she knew it now.

"I would let me go if I were you."

The man laughed without humor.

"Get a load of this guy."

The other ones behind Kristoff joined in.

He leaned forward his face inches away from Kristoff's face.

"And why would we do that?"

Just at that moment, bright lightning dipped their surroundings in piercing light.

She sat on the roof of a building just at the edge of the city, watching over the frozen ruins of the houses below. The moon which was full this quiet night gave her just enough light to see few people wandering along the streets, the ice glistering in the shine of the white ball above. Flashbacks of this place from months ago came into her mind. People going about their day, spending time with their loved ones, enjoying summer. She clenched her hands to fists at the memory forcing back tears. Her gaze dropped to her palms at the half-moons her nails left. Why is it so hard? Why is it so hard to control it now?

With a deep sigh, E. stood up, grabbed the gloves laying next to her in the snow, and when she was just about to head back to the palace she saw the lightning. It illuminated the whole sky and city below her, a brief moment in which the buildings threw their long shadows on the ground. Confused she tried to make any sense of it until she saw it. Someone was falling from the sky. Without much thinking, she jumped off the building. With a quick motion of her hand, she created a heap of snow in which she landed softly. Without losing time she stood and ran towards the figure still falling through the cold air. The only thing she could clearly see of this person was something red, violently flapping in the wind. She reached the Black-Forest park when she heard the crash of something piercing through the ice. The lake. she thought half panicking half in relief because that meant, the person didn't hit the ground and their brain wasn't splashed over the floor, but it also meant that she hadn't much time before the person possibly drowned. She held her hands in front of her, creating an ice path on which she slid to her destination. And there it was the Black- Forest lake completely frozen over, well not completely. There was one fresh hole. E. wasted no time did a dove forward and slid to the hole which already began to freeze over again.

"Fuck."

She breathed as she desperately tried to make out the person through the ice. She felt how the wind around her picked up, caused by her distress.

There! Then she saw it, red under the ice, she ran to the source and immediately saw how the current carried the body further away. She then ran in the direction of which she was sure the current would pull the body next. She took off the glove of her right hand so her magic could work in its full power. A big ice spike formed around her right hand and with all her strength she slammed it into the surface of the ice multiple times until the whole was big enough that she herself could theoretically slip through it. She prayed it was enough and then she already saw the body approaching. E. froze her legs to the ground for stability and bend her upper body over into the water.

Come on, come on. YES.

E. got a hold of the person and hooked her hands under their arms. She had to hurry, she already saw how the hole got smaller. Heavily breathing she mustered enough strength to pull the person halfway out of the freezing water. Her arms arched terribly as she kept pulling, but the person got stuck somehow. She looked down and her face went pale.

No no no NOOOOO.

E. watched in horror, as the ice closed around the person's hips trapping them in place.

"Noo please, fuck." E. whined as she changed her position. She stood up and grabbed the person by their hands, hoping the ice wasn't thick enough yet. It was useless. E. felt how tears streamed down her face. Her hands slipped from their hold and she fell backward on her backside hitting the ice hard. The limbs of the person fell limply to their sides the upper body sloped back.

"No please, I didn't mean to."

She muttered in despair sitting on the ice and wiping her tears away. One more death because of her. She felt how the wind was already violently tugging at her clothes and platinum blonde hair, whirling snowflakes through the air.

It was probably the worst idea sitting here in the open and not on guard. Anyone could come and immediately recognize her and then she would be killed or worse thrown to the feet of her brother. But she couldn't care less at that very moment. A person died again because of her. More blood on her hands.

I'm a monster. Someone should just kill me already.

Suddenly she heard a low sizzling. She lifted her head in confusion and then she saw it. Steam rose from the ice which was connected to the person's waist. Confused E. stood up and approached the body realizing for the first time that it was a girl. E. watched in astonishment how the ice backed away from the girl. Reacting quickly she grabbed the girl under her arms before she could slip back into the water. E. threw herself back on the ice, pulling the girl with her. The girl now lying on top of her, with her red hair covering most of E.'s face, the blonde could sense a weak heartbeat.

She's still alive.

Ignoring the hot sensation the girl was emitting and which was burning on E's. cold skin, she pushed the girl off of her and rotated her body, so she was lying on her back and E. was hovering over her. Without hesitation, she pulled the mask away from her face, pressed her lips on the girl's and started blowing air into her mouth. The contact caused loud sizzling between their lips, which E. ignored until she couldn't take the heat anymore and covered her lips with a layer of ice. After some time she felt how the body of the girl moved and E. flinched back, giving the girl enough space to cough out the water. Happiness filled her heart and the wind around her stopped. That was also the moment in which the glowing stopped and E. saw the puddle around the redhead of the ice she melted.

That's new.

She thought observing the girl in fascination. She wore clothes, E. never saw before. Slightly burned blue pants and a black shirt with a big scripture on it, and a burning guitar. Her eyes wandered to her face, flushed cheeks, and nose, which were dusted with freckles. She was about to reach out to touch her face but then she remembered her right hand wasn't gloved.

She melted the ice. WAIT, SHE MELTED MY ICE.

But her train of thoughts was interrupted as she heard a soft groan below her. The girl's eyes fluttered open and E. felt as if another lightning struck her. Green eyes at first unfocused landed on her, slowly clearing. E. was frozen in place, not able to pull her eyes away from the teal ones.

The girl mustered her for a long time confused, then her eyes widened as if she realized something.

"Who are you? Where am I?"

She rasped trying to straighten herself up.

"I-I uh."

E. stammered caught off guard.

Shit, what do I say?

Suddenly she heard voices behind her echoing from the treelines.

E. sprung to her feet, ready to run away. She had to leave now, she wasn't even supposed to be here in the first place.

She flinched when she felt a hand grabbing her wrist.

"Wait, you saved me. Please don't go."

E. looked down at the girl, weakly holding onto her arm, giving her a pleading look.

"Don't leave me alone."

E. hesitated for a second, but her decision was made.

"I'm sorry, I have to go."

E. whispered pained and pulled her wrist roughly from the girl, causing the redhead to fall forward on the ice.

With that E. disappeared between the trees running, running until she reached the end of the city, not stopping her tempo until she collapsed against the ice wall which surrounded the palace.

"This girl."

She whispered to herself breathing heavily.

"This girl can save us."

E. slumped into the snow, looking at her hands and then into the dark sky, which was filled with stars. A smile formed on her face, as her heart filled with hope, for the first time in three months. She laughed out loud like a crazy woman.

She can save me.

While they were distracted from the natural event, Kristoff broke free from the grip of the two men who held his arms and tackled the one with the gun to the ground. After a moment of fighting, Kristoff managed to shoot the man in the head, after whom two more quickly followed. Leaving two more enemies. That was when a silhouette flew out of the shadows and finished the last two with a swipe of their hands, causing electricity to hit the attackers, frying them alive. The smell of burned flesh filled the air. The familiar smell giving Kristoff a weird feeling of relief.

"Took you long enough."

Kristoff spoke up first, examinating the dead bodies when something caught his attention.

" 'Thanks, for saving my ass, Tiana.' Yeah sorry, Kris, but it wasn't quite easy to find you."

Meg imitating him annoyingly, resting her hands on her hips.

Kristoff paid her no mind as he inspected the item he picked from one of the bodies.

Interesting.

Kristoff mused realizing what his find could mean.

"Hello, Bjorgman?"

His speaking device called out in his ear.

"Yeah, what's up Smith"

He answered, standing up dropping the object into the pocket of his pants.

"Good, you're alright, I assume West is with you?"

"Correct."

He gave back turning to the woman in question, who lifted her brows in question. He motioned to his ear, silently telling her to just turn on her own device. She did as told.

"Very well, we're about to send another group out."

"Why's that?"

Kristoff frowned, motioned for Tiana to follow him, away from the scene, in case there were more enemies to come.

"One of our observation towers caught some kind of glow near the Black-Forest lake. "

"Glow?"

Tiana questioned.

"Yeah, they couldn't identify it. So we-"

"We'll check it out."

Kristoff interrupted Smith and turned around, walking in the direction where the lake was. Tiana almost bumped into him, letting out an annoyed huff.

"Are you sure? We don't know what it is. What if it's a trap?"

"We're already close and I have Tiana with me, it will be alright."

A defeated sigh could be heard on the other line.

"Alright, we will send the group anyways, so you guys have a backup, just to be safe."

Smith finished.

Tiana gave him a puzzled sideglance, but not questioning his reckless decision.

After a few minutes in which they walked, Kristoff told Tiana what happened earlier and what possibly happened to their informant.

Eventually, they reached the lake, not seeing anything glowing, but a small cloud of steam.

Kristoff pulled out his pistol, while Tiana's hands crackled readily right next to him.

They waited until the cloud slowly dissolved and then they saw it. Someone was laying on the ice, well more like laying in a well, which was perfectly circling around their form.

"Check our surroundings for any other people, I'll check on them."

Kristoff ordered and approached the person, which appeared to be a girl with red hair. Tiana nodded and walked towards the trees.

Kristoff bent down. The girl was unconscious but she was alive, he could tell after taking off his glove and holding a finger under the girl's nose, feeling a warm airflow. She had no frostbites and wasn't shaking from the cold, he noted confused.

He looked around, trying to figure out what happened.

"There was nobody around, but I noticed footprints leading into the forest. Should I follow them?"

Tiana reported after she came back, now standing behind Kristoff, curiously looking over his shoulder at the girl.

"No stay, the snow will cover their tracks long before you will reach them."

He declared, not taking his eyes away from the girl.

"Alright, what about her?"

Tiana asked stepping next to him, lightly notching the girl's leg.

"Stop that!"

He hissed, shoving her foot away.

"She's still alive."

"Oh shit."

Tiana gave back embarrassed but quickly pulled something out of her black backpack. It was a thermal blanket, which she threw over the girl.

With that Kristoff slid his hands under the girl's body and lifted her up. As he carried her away from the lake, followed by Tiana, he felt an unnatural warmth, no heat the girl emanated, which he could feel through his thick winter clothes. Realizing the reason why the girl was unharmed by the cold, but also unleashing more unanswered questions to plague his mind.

And the end of chapter 2. Some things might seem confusing right now, but things will be clear in the following chapters. So stay tuned. Also, I'm bad at writing fighting scenes, which will hopefully change in the future. ;)
