Chapter 2
(3rd Person view)
Jason was still trying to wrap his head around the events that occurred on his night shift. The animatronics not only could talk, but they understood him, and they even seemed human-like. Jason then remembered he had to wait for dayshift.
Jason made his rounds, then headed back for work. But as he was walking, he heard a voice. it sounded like a deep, distorted male's voice. He looked around for a bit, before realizing that the voice was in his head, not surrounding him. The words were indistinctive. As he started walking closer, the voice got clearer. AS soon as the pizzeria was in sight, the voice's words were clear. There weren't very many, but the voice said, " Help. Them. In Pain."
Jason had no idea what this meant. "Help? Them? In pain? Help who? Who is in pain?", Jason wondered. trying to shake the thought, he looked forward to his day shift. As he walked in, he clocked in for his shift. Soon as he did, the owner greeted Jason with a big smile showcasing sparkly white teeth.
The owner said, "Hey there Jason. I see you're here. Well, here's the thing. I don't need you to wait at all. The animatronics will be doing it. Specifically Chica. So, just come back tonight."
Jason replied, "So then why did you say I could?"
The owner then said, "Because, we needed a waiter then. Now, I am going to have the animatronics do the serving. All you need to do is come in at night. Now, go rest up, or whatever you do during the day."
The owner then left. But once he did, he noticed a slip of paper fall out of the man's pocket. Jason walked to it and picked it up. The slip of paper had only a phone number and an address. Jason pocketed the slip of paper, then left the establishment.
To burn time, Jason walked around the town. He once again pulled out the piece of paper. He noticed two letters in the bottom right-hand corner. The two letters read M.S.
"M.S.? What does that stand for?" wondered Jason. Even though his curiosity wanted him to call the number or visit the address, he still decided to just never mind it, for now at least. His gut told him to hold onto the paper for now, that maybe it might come in handy or be important.
For the rest of the day, he walked around town till his shift.
12:00 am
Jason kept a steady stride as he approached the pizzeria, even though he had a feeling that tonight was going to be a strange night. As he was on his way. a car pulled up next to him. Then, the window rolled down slowly, and the face Jason saw was familiar. It was the owner. The owner said, "Get in. I'll give you a ride. Don't expect this every time."
Without a word, Jason got in the car. A few minutes later, they pulled up to the restaurant. Jason walked into the establishment, closing the doors behind him. He saw the other three sitting on the stage. Freddy finally noticed Jason, then greeted, "Hello, Jason. Been wondering if you'd show up. I assume you have to get around to doing your job.
Jason nodded his head as he went on about his business. As he did, he heard another voice, call to him saying, "Fix...them...Jason" Jason then had the sudden urge to go towards the room he saw the broken animatronics. He made his way there, and as he put his hand on the door, what felt like a big hand grab his shoulder. Jason jolted and turned around to see the big bear animatronic facing him.
Freddy then said, "What are you doing Jason?"
"Umm, n-nothing. I was simply passing by," lied Jason.
Freddy then responded, "It doesn't look like that. DO NOT enter in there. There will be consequences if you do."
Freddy then left back to the main room. Jason really felt like he needed to go in there. But he couldn't do it with them watching. So it hit him. He could do it during the day. But he would have to sneak in somehow. He decided to figure it out later. But for now, he had work do to.
As he was wrapping up( I won't bore you with all the work), Freddy approached him.
"Are you ready to learn about what happened around here?" asked Freddy.
Startled, Jason jumped out of fear before around to see Freddy looking down at him, given the animatronics were a little taller than him.
"Oh, forgot about that. Sure thing," said Jason.
After about an hour, Freddy finished the explanation on how the animatronics could talk, and how they no longer needed the spirits to make them come alive, since they "evolved" to their own free will.
"Wow, I didn't know that was possible. Thanks for telling me. Now its not as scary," said Jason.
Jason then looked at his watch, and saw it was almost time to go.
"Well, i must be getting back to the stage. Its almost 6:00 am," said Freddy. Freddy then turned around and went back to the stage
DING DONG! DING DONG!
That was the bell that ends the nightshift. Jason then proceeded to walk outside when his boss stopped him.
"Ah, Mr. Afton. I'm glad I ran into you. I noticed a piece of paper fell from my pocket. Did you pick it up?" asked Jason's boss.
" I did actually. Here you go," said Jason as he handed the piece of paper.
"Oh, no, you can keep it. It may come in handy someday, Mr. Afton. I have a copy of that piece of paper. "
"You can continue on with whatever you do during the day." said Jason's boss.
Jason nodded, then continued,
As he was walking away, he heard that voice in his head again say, "Backroom...fix...them...help...them..."
Jason then remember the broken animatronics he saw in that backroom. But how to get back there?
