Summary: It's been six months since Karlie has been transported to their world. She has no one. With the magic energy in their world scarce, it has put strain on her magic, weakening her little by little. Now, with no reason to being there, she tries her best in helping others, turning herself into a vigilante. As she grows more accustomed to her new life, new problems start to arise. More enemies start appearing along with allies. She wants to trust them, to have a reason for hope to grow inside her, but the way things are going for her, will she let them?
I don't own anything but my OC/S
The room was silent with the air filled with thick tenseness, which only seemed to increase as a pair of eyes narrowed. The sounds of metal shifting was the only thing that could be heard breaking the ice as they started to hum to life.
" Ironhide."
" Just in case she tries somethin'." He rumbled, his blasters trained on the small figure before him. She turned her head a bit, glaring tiredly at the mech before shifting her gaze back at the man in front of her. She let out a dry, humorless chuckle and her eyes hardened. " So much for 'trust', huh, Colonel? You say you want me to trust you, but who's to say you won't turn around and lock me up in some experimentation lab? Sure, you let these guys up and running, but they're from another planet, I'm not. As far as you know, I'm just a human with a ridiculous amount of power that could destroy this universe's very existence." As she continued her explanation, she stepped closer, which caused him to take a step back. Ironhide growled and took a step forward threateningly.
" You better watch where you stand girl."
She ignored him.
" Well? Got anything to say?" He stayed silent, his eyes unreadable, and took a step forward. " You're right; I can't prove that we won't do any of those things." He said, and she could feel a bubble of disappointment grow inside her. " But... what I do know is that whether we trust each other or not, we both have the same intention."
I know that
She clicked her tongue and crossed her arms, letting her hair fall over her right eye, covering it fully. " And now for the real question: What makes you think I'll just team up with you? I'm pretty sure you know I can handle things on my own." He didn't answer her, letting out a small, incoherent sigh and ran his fingers through his hair.
I want to help. Please, give me a reason to stay
A beat goes by, and he made no move to respond any time soon.
I guess I should've known. Then again, I wouldn't have an answer either
She sighed and turned around, preparing herself to leave when a voice stopped her.
" 'Cause 's no fun tah be alone, no mattah how it easy 't seems tah say ya don' need anyone."
