The child whose breathing was even a moment ago starts to wake up. Drowsy, his eyes shots around then settles on a blob of pink. As he began to gain his consciousness, realized the pink blob were locks of pink hair.

When it turned around to use the wet cloth to wipe him, he came face to face with a beautiful woman. He has never seen such hair and eyes in his life.

'Is that even real?'

"Oh so you are up. That's good." She smiled at him.

"Are you the witch?"

"..."

"Come again. I seem to have misheard you."

Confused the child asked again.

"Are you the witch?"

A vein popped on her temple and she wanted to smacked him on his head.

"Who are you calling a 'witch' you little brat?" The woman was furious but she kept smiling.

Looking at her expression the poor child started sweating bullets. Sakura became upset with the little kid.

Being called a witch wasn't a very pleasant experience.

"You can call me Sakura. Now take this medicine. This will help you heal faster."

He did what he was being told to do without any complaints.

"My... sibling...Where are my siblings?"

Before he would start to panic she pointed towards the corner. He saw a pair of children cuddled together covered with a blanket. He let out a sigh of relief.

"Thank you for saving us."

"Good that you are aware now tell me what were to doing in the forest?" She enquired in a stern voice but softening her tone as much as she can.

"About that..." he hesitated for a moment and continued.

"We came here here looking for the witch."

Afraid that she might get angry he explained with haste.

"People in the compound have been talking about it. A witch is residing in the forbidden area and she can heal anyone."

'Wow! it's so scary how rumors can transform into something so strange.'

"So? Who do you want me to heal? For you to have enter this forbidden area risking your life the person must be important to you."

So the child blurted his story out. He wanted to save their mother, their father died in the battle against Senju not long ago. Since then her health has been declining. He told her about the symptoms. She has been loosing weight. Coughing frequently, having chest pain, coughing up blood, tired all the time etc. The child seemed terrified. At the thought of loosing his remaining parent.

When she moved, the the clanking of her shackles woke the other two up. They sat up rubbing their eyes with their tiny fists making them look like small animals. The moment their eyes landed on their brother they rushed to him, enveloped the in a hug. And cried their eyes out. She pitied them and she felt sorry for them but refused them.

"I'm sorry, I'm incapable of helping you even, even if I want to." Since she cannot leave the premises without permission.

They felt devastated.

"But, if you could ask an elder to get Lord Madara's permission then I might be able to help you."

They panicked and pleaded her not to tell anyone. She agreed but warned them not sneak around again because it's dangerous.

Dejected when they were about to leave. She gave them some pain killers to reduce the pain out compassion.

"This is all I can do for now."

She expected them not to come again.

Contrary to her expectation, they kept coming back to her. She would scold and nag them , nonetheless they treated her words as air. And eventually it became a routine. They would come to visit her, get nagged. And then go about minding their own business or should she say the business of bothering her.

They will hang around without a care. As if it was not he most dangerous prison in the compound but their very own backyard.

'I don't know, if these kids are bold or idiots?'

The more these children stuck around she realized they had a knack for medical ninjutsu.

They have pretty good control over their chakra especially the eldest one. So on a whim she decided to teach the basics of the medical practice. This way they might be able to help their mother.

Since she cannot use chakra. She guided them as much as she could in theory. Taught them about various aspects of medical ninjutsu. Also about herbs and their properties how to use chakra to heal. And to her surprise, they absorbed everything well. The three children excelled in that area. Hajime the eldest, eight years old, was good at chakra control. The middle child Hikari, five years old, was quick to learn about the medicine. And the youngest one Kagami Uchiha was special. He was only three despite that was a very sensitive child. Sometimes his questions would even take her aback. Gifted with insight, If honed well, he can lead Uchiha to a new direction. She taught all the three with passion with the limited amount of resources available.

While in Konoha she taught many. Anyhow never took a direct disciple under her tutelage like her master did. Well it's not that she didn't want to. It's that she didn't have the time to, with all her duties. The amount of responsibilities was heavy on her shoulders. Not only she had to deal with the Konoha hospital. After Tsunade handed her responsibilities to her and left. Besides she also took care of Sarada. Since Sasuke was not around much. Juggling between home and work was never easy. So she didn't think, it would be a wise idea to take in a disciple. When Sarada grew up and Sasuke came back. She made up her mind to mentor some good seeds. Naruto and Tsunade had been bugging her for a while. But life never happens your way does it ? And ironically life happened to her and she died.

She had started to enjoy her time with these three brats. Always up to some kind of mischief. In this dreary clan their cheerfulness was growing on her. She wanted to teach them in the true sense but she couldn't with these chakra restrains. It's fine for now she will focus on strengthening their fundamentals.

It turns out these brats have been treating their sick mother without her knowledge. At first she was against them carelessly diagnose her and treat her. She didn't want to endanger other person with their incomplete knowledge. And she was helpless since she will not get permission to go out of the vicinity by the Uchiha leader. And Madara had not been visiting since their last encounter.

And as the time passed she softened her stance. And decided to help the children. Teach them how cure the the disease their mother had been suffering from. She figured the woman is ailing with chronic tuberculosis. She was being contained in her house because people were scared. They might contract the disease for themselves. It is a correct measure executed in an unfortunate way as it spreads through air. She already checked the children for the symptoms. Luckily none of them have contracted it yet.

She decided to instruct them now to deal with this situation. Little by little she taught them how to treat it and to prevent it from spreading. TB is not a small problem. It can't be taken lightly. If prolonged it can be a potentially life-threatening disease .

"You guys how many times do I have to tell you not to go too deep into the forest?"

" Why can't we explore the forest Master ?"

"Hey when did I became your master and have you forgotten what happen when the first time you came here? What if you encounter something dangerous again?"

They completely ignored her previous question and continued.

"We are not scared master ? We know we will be fine."

"Hey are you ignoring my first question and where is this confidence coming from when you can't even land a hit on me?" She was as a matter of fact curious.

"Because we have you master. We know you will protect us..." Their grin was as bright as a diamond.

She was so touched by their faith in her that her eyes almost teared up.

"Indeed as long as I'm here no will be able to harm you."

"Of course. Who would dare to go against a gorilla."

"You mean a female gorilla. Big brother."

'Hey, I can here you , you know.' Her veins started popping out.

"Big brother, Kagami you guys shouldn't talk like that."

'Hikari you are the only cute one in this trio of monkeys.' She started seeing pure white wings behind her and a shining halo above.

"Master is a beautiful female gorilla."

'I take that back all these brats are the same.'

"Sarada is my one true angel."

She couldn't hit them afraid of over exerting her strength and injuring them. Could only swallow her anger.

"Since you guys are so fearless then go ahead and run ten laps around the premises."

They started whining at the sudden betrayal of their master. "But master it's dangerous out there what if we get attacked by a beast."

The atmosphere around her became gloomy and dark. Sadistically she said.

"Oh don't worry you are my precious disciples even if you get attacked and injured. I won't let you died."

With a shady smile she added "You won't die as long as I'm here."

The disciples suddenly broke into cold sweat. '''MASTER WHY ARE YOU CHANGING YOU WORDS NOW.'''

"Pffftttt..."

"Cough...Ahem.."

'She definitely is a beautiful female but Gorilla! These young ones sure are creative.'

Madara knew about their rendezvous. Nonetheless he kept quite about it because it was advantageous to his clan. If the these children learn from her they will be able to save many lives. Luckily Sakura is soft towards children. However she was as unrelenting toward adults. She had been under his surveillance with the help of his summon. Since the day children started visiting.

Their first invasion was a glitch on their part but it's not possible to hide it from the eyes of a trained shinobi. He had instructed the guards to turn a blind eye to their actives. Or else how else will these children be able to get there without being caught even once.

He was keeping an an eye on their mother's situation as well. He wanted to see the results of their training with Sakura. If they are able to cure their mother. His effort won't be in vain. This might not be able to quench his desire for peace but it may save many of his brethren.

'Hashirama peace might not be just a pipe dream.'

A subtle smile spread on his lips as he envisioned this unfulfilled dream of his.

"Kagami what are you doing here alone. Where's Hajime and Hikari?"

The child was sitting near the small pond and intently staring at a fish swimming around .

What can a three old be thinking so seriously.

"Oh Master gorilla.."

"Hey stop it already. I'm going to smack you." The branch that she was about to use to make a fire snapped in her hands.

Oblivious to her mood he replied.

"They are talking care of mommy."

'This kid sure is fearless.'

She sighed and settled down beside him. "So why aren't you helping them out?"

"Because I'm so small so they send me away."

"I see."

"Master.."

"hmmm..."

"Master.."

"hmmm.."

"Master.."

"hmmm..."

He called out to her so many times yet she remained accommodating with him. Patient she waited for him to continue.

"Master why do people fight?"

"Why are you asking this? Did you get into a fight with someone?"

"No but..."

She waited for him to continue but when he didn't she sighed and replied.

"Some say they are fighting for their people, some for the sake of love, some fight to prove their superiority, some fight in the name of peace. Well there are countless reasons."

"So does that mean fighting is important to protect or archive something?"

"Do you know the real reason why they fight?"

He shook his head from side to side and look up at her with expectation.

"It's because they are stupid."

He looked at her in disbelief, when he looked close for any sign of humor he couldn't find any.

"Why would you say that master? My father died fighting Senju in the war. Are you saying it was all for nothing."

The words he uttered didn't have an ounce of anger but of pure curiosity.

That moment when she looked at this fragile being. She realized her answer would open new doors for him. It can either plunge him in darkness or lead him to the light.

"That's because my child in a war you have more too loose than gain. You will loose those you love one by one and then you will loose yourself too."

Thereupon Kagami Uchiha Break away from Curse of Hatred forever.
