Ep. 3: Love, Destiny, and Defiance
(Note: This is the finale to The Life of Amity Blight, in which the status quo in the 1st episode of Kamen Rider Saber: The Neverending Story takes place. It also features, quite possibly, Sophia's only appearance in the series. Not to mention Blaze makes a cameo in this episode. Enjoy!)
As soon as Luz and Amity enter Wonder World, they were in awe. Luz was amazed at the scenery, whereas Amity was more nostalgic, as she hasn't seen Wonder World in over a decade. "Luz, welcome to the island of Diyamus!" Amity told Luz, showing her the walled city of Eliaxus, her hometown.
"So, this is Eliaxus?" Luz asked Amity, replying to her with a yes. As they step foot on the gate of Diyamus, A familiar sounding voice can be heard echoing nearby. "Ami, is that you?", the voice called out. As it turns out, the voice was none other than Willow, whom Amity hadn't seen in the 11 years since the Dark Spark War occurred.
"Willow, how are you?", greeted Amity. "Well, I'm fine, especially after the Dark Spark War ended.", replied Willow. Then she asked, "Ami, who's this girl?" That's when Amity introduced Willow to Luz. "Nice to meet you, Luz.", Willow quipped. Then, she later visited her old home, which was since abandoned after the War.
"Luz, this is my home. I know it's not in good shape right now, but what did I expect when I've been on Earth for several years?" Amity told Luz. "Also, this whole place is just the tip of the iceberg. Wanna see the rest of Eliaxus?"
And with that, she introduced Luz to Gus, whose family are allies of the Sword of Logos. "Greetings, milady.", proclaimed Gus, trying to be as polite as possible. "Gus, you can cut the façade now.", replied Amity. "Oh, okay Amity. So, how are you? It's been 11 years."
"I'm fine, Gus.", she replied. "Oh, by the way, this is Luz." As Luz introduces herself to Gus, suddenly a portal from the Chasm of the Dead opens, releasing Storius, Zoous, Legeiel, and Desast after 11 years.
"Ah, it feels good to be back in Wonder World after all this time, doesn't it?", remarked Zoous. After their little chat, they proceed to unleash a swarm of Tora Megiddo on the denizens of Diyamus. Sensing the impending threat, Gus grabbed both Luz and Amity and used a Book Gate to teleport them into the Sword of Logos' base.
"Welcome to the Sword of Logos HQ, guys. Make yourselves comfy.", reassured Gus. As Luz and Amity check out the place, a woman cladded in white from the upper echelons of the library emerged, welcoming the pair with warm arms.
"Greetings, travelers. I see you're not in good shape right now.", said the woman in white. "I'm Sophia, the leader of this base."
As Amity was about to introduce herself, Sophia interrupted her, saying that her father had told her about Amity. "Well, anyway, this is Luz." Amity introduced Luz to Sophia. "Nice to meet you, Luz." But as the team starts to bond, suddenly the Megiddo, using their Book Gate, managed to barge into the SoL base. "Legeiel!", yelled Sophia. "Why are you here?"
"You shouldn't be surprised, Sophia.", replied Legeiel. "Now, you shall perish!" As Legeiel prepares to attack, Sophia escapes with Luz and Amity, powerless against the Megiddo since the previous generation of Sword of Logos members have been long since gone after the end of the Dark Spark War. After a while, they stop by the Erso Hills. With Legeiel and his gang taking over the SoL base, Amity started clenching her fists, recalling what he did 11 years ago.
"Legeiel…" She muttered. "That monster killed my mother back then. Me, my dad, and my siblings have harbored a grudge towards him for years for doing so."
"You seem rather distraught, Amity. Is there something wrong?", asked Sophia. Not wanting to ignore her, Amity replied. "I was caught in the midst of the Dark Spark War." She told Sophia. "And you know what happened? Legeiel killed my mother."
Luz and Sophia both comforted Amity for her loss. It was then they decided to gear up for a battle in the base. Amity created an energy sword for Sophia to use. Afterwards, they returned to the base, armed and ready for combat.
However, things seem to be somewhat in line, as Gus pulled out his Onjuuken Suzune and transformed into Slash to fend off Legeiel and the hordes of Tora Megiddo. As Amity, Luz, and Sophia fight their way to the base, Zoous shows up and stalls them for a bit. Naturally, they didn't last very long, seeing as Zoous had managed to outdo them and almost killed Amity due to his rather ferocious nature.
That was until a black woman in red clothing kicked Zoous by the back and saved the three. "Are you okay, Amity?" She asked, getting Amity up.
Amity immediately recognizes the woman as Skara, a Sunfire Elf living in Diyamus. "Skara, what are you doing here?", asked Amity.
"Oh, you know, I heard you came back.", replied Skara. They later joined Gus as they defeat the Megiddo and recapture the base. However, as they celebrate their victory, Storius suddenly arrives and stabs Sophia in the back using his sword. She falls to the floor as her death was imminent.
"Sophia!", yelled Luz. Everyone rushed to her aid as she reached out to everyone, especially Amity. Naturally, everyone was distraught at Sophia's death, and as she dies, she vanishes in front of them. "Sophia…", muttered Amity.
"Now that Sophia's dead, who's gonna lead this place?", contemplated Gus, who is now wondering who would lead the Sword of Logos. Suddenly, Amity got up and faced everyone in her general direction.
"I'll do it.", she uttered, to the shock of everyone. "I don't what sort of changes I'll be making around here, but I'll assure you that I'll be a good leader." She told everyone. Later, after tidying up, she and Luz used their Book Gate to return home. "Goodbye, everybody.", said Luz. Everyone waved goodbye as the two left.
"So, Luz, what are we gonna do now?" Amity asked Luz. "I went on an adventure with you, and showed you my old home. What's next?" That's when Luz grabbed her hand. "Uh, Luz…", she muttered. "What are you doing?"
Luz didn't say a word, but would proceed to hug Amity, whispering the words "I love you." on Amity's ear. This causes Amity to blush, and her heart to flutter. "So, where do you wanna go?", asked Amity. "I'm done with Wonder World for now."
"Well, I wanted to travel the world with you.", replied Luz. "Who knows what kind of wonders we can come across?" Ultimately, Amity agreed, and they purchased their passports, allowing them to travel the world together.
Several months passed, and Luz was visiting Amity, with a small black box in her hand. She approached Amity with the box in her hand. Later, Luz presented the wedding ring in front of Amity. "So, Amity, will you marry me?", asked Luz. Having known Luz for 11 years, ultimately saying "yes." And so, weeks pass by for both parties to prepare for the wedding.
The bells ring, and Amity walks through the aisle with Luz waiting for her. As they put on their wedding rings, they say their vows. And the once priest proclaimed "You may now kiss the bride!", Luz sealed Amity's lips.
Shortly after the wedding, both Amity & Luz went on to recruit new members of the Sword of Logos, which started with Edric, who wielded Fuusouken Hayate. Later, Luz recruited both Jacob Ackerman and Jack Daniels, wielding Suiseiken Nagare and Raimeiken Ikazuchi, respectively. "Now that the team's here, now what?" Luz asked her wife. "Well…last I checked, Kaenken Rekka is not in Wonder World.", replied Amity. "I wonder where it went…"
Meanwhile…
Back on Earth, the Lochness Megiddo was released, causing part of it to teleport to Wonder World. As it rampages the vicinity, a flame swordsman shows up, ready to challenge him. "So, you dare to challenge me, mere mortal?", taunted the Megiddo.
"Who said I was a mere mortal?", replied the swordsman. "I came here for a fight."
"You want a fight, huh?", taunted the Megiddo, who eventually charged towards the flame swordsman. But in no time flat, he managed to dodge Lochness and attacked him from behind. "Who are you?!", yelled Lochness.
"You might've known in hush whispers. I'm Kamen Rider Saber.", replied the swordsman, who was now identified as Saber. Taking the chance, Saber used Crimson Dragon to gain more power to defeat Lochness, but still struggled regardless.
Amity was observing from afar, watching the battle unfold. As Lochness was about to deal the final blow, Saber then activated his finisher and made minced meat out of the Megiddo. The portion that was in Wonder World returned to Earth afterwards. Once he detransforms, Saber's new user turned out to be an author who goes by the name of Blaze. "Ah, another Megiddo destroyed. Now what am I gonna do?" He thought to himself, later leaving the vicinity.
Amity herself was in awe, and immiediately called up Luz. "Luz…", muttered Amity.
"Yeah, Amity?", replied Luz.
"I think we found our Saber…" Amity told Luz.
