"On a one horse open sleigh, O'er the fields we go, Laughing all the way, Bells on bobtail ring, making spirits bright, What fun it is to laugh and sing, A sleighing song tonight!" sang Annabeth as she climbed on to a stool and began to set the Christmas lights indoors.

"Wait, a minute Annabeth!" Percy called as she came running into the living room, the sounds of his bare feet resonating across the small cabin.

"What do you need Percy?" asked Annabeth confused and slightly shocked, "What's wrong?"

"You think you know Jingle Bells? Here's the real song: Dashing through the snow, on a pair of broken skis, through the hills we go, crashing into trees-" Percy sang

"What the hell is that?!" asked Annabeth scandalous, that was not the Jingle Bells she knew.

"Oh c'mon! It's Jingle Bells!" exclaimed Percy

"No, no it isn't!" cried Annabeth as she climbed down from the stool and faced Percy both hands on her hips.

"Yeah it is! Besides Deck The Halls isn't even Deck The Halls, it's Wreck The Halls!" Percy added

It took all of Annabeth's willpower not to laugh, or even have her lips twitch to a slight smile.

"Wreck The Halls? What is that?!" declared Annabeth

"You don't know Wreck The Halls?!" gasped Percy in utter disbelief.

"N-no…" muttered Annabeth, a bit taken aback.

"No… 'Wreck the halls with screams and hollers...AAAHHHAAAHHHAAAHHHAAAAHH!' " Percy sang, making the AAAHHHAAAHHH part sound a LOT like Falalalalala.

Annabeth burst out laughing.

"Who came up with those?!" she shrieked with laughter.

"Me, Connor, Travis and Leo." replied Percy, a hint of amusement in his voice.

"Gods, that was funny." Annabeth gasped as she took deep breaths and sat down on the couch, a grin plastered on her face.

"Wait, so you like it?!" asked Percy in disbelief.

"Yes, Seaweed brain! Why wouldn't I?"

"B-because you're always wanting it proper and stuff or something like that…" mumbled Percy.

Annabeth shook her head. Boys were going to be boys after all.

"So is that it for Wreck the Halls?" she asked with a smirk.

Percy's eyes widened.

"Actually, that's all we've got...hold on, I'll be back.." he said as he kissed Annabeth in the cheek and pulled on his jacket hastily, swung the door open and ran out of the door screaming.

"Connor! Travis! Leo! We need to write more lyrics! NOW!" he hollered.

Annbeth burst out laughing once more.

P.S: Wreck The Halls is an invention of a few 6th grade boys who were in my class and honestly ever since I heard that first part I just COULDN'T get it out of my head. (I'm working on the lyrics tho. :) 😏
