At the briefing room, Ferrel and his men are getting ready for an another briefing. Hammond shows up.
"All right people, we have a situation." said Hammond. "As you were, a group of people were kidnapped and one of them was killed."
He presents Ferrel's men with a cassette player and a message containing the details regarding a homicide. The message ends as the man is told that Ferrel has to come alone. Outside the restaurant, Ferrel summons Meicoomon and Impmon before going inside. Inside the restaurant, a man shows up.
"Sorry I'm late, Ferrel." said the man. "I was followed."
"By who?" asked Ferrel.
"Alex." replied the man.
Alex goes undercover as a chef. Inside the truck, Miss May and Jack as well as Sam and Pete are watching security monitors. Ferrel, Impmon and Meicoomon converse with the man.
"I see that you have a friend." said the man. "Sit."
Later, Meicoomon's irises turn to a cross.
"We have information." said Meicoomon.
The server shows up with the check that says "Stall him". Later, Ferrel and the man go to the forest and to the house. Ferrel's men are inside the other house where the man lives. They enter inside the house surrounded by toys.
"That must be his son." said Miss May.
Jack examines the drugs.
"Miss May, this man likes drugs." said Jack.
At the forest, Ferrel and the man return to the headquarters. Miss May and Jack are continuing the examination. One figure has a camera inside the eye. At the warehouse, three men are examining Alex and Shoutmon. They use thermal to examine Alex's abdomen.
"Not human." said the man.
At the office, Dr. Laura visits Hammond.
"I believe that Meicoomon has finished the examination inside the man's house." said Dr. Laura. "And Alex is still at the house."
"Right." said Hammond.
At the different office, Jack and Miss May are sent to watch a video. At the motel, Ferrel and Alex are watching a video. The man visits Ferrel and Alex. Shoutmon goes to the bathroom. The man gives a tooth pick to Ferrel. At the office, Miss May and Jack are continuing to talk to the man.
"The interview is over." said the man.
"No. Meicoomon is still looking for answers." said Miss May.
"He is doing everything he can to ensure the attacks are over." said Jack.
The man gives the paper to Jack. At the motel room, Alex, Shoutmon and Ferrel are talking to a man a little more.
"I would like a glass of water?" asked the man.
Just as the man is opening a bottle containing drugs, Ferrel gives the water and the paper containing the address to the gate. At the warehouse, Miss May and Jack summon Lalamon and Palmon. They then get cornered by three men, who are pointing the guns at them.
"You must be the purgers. What a warm welcome." said Miss May.
At the motel, the man continues the urges to go to the gate.
"I have to go through the gate." said the man. "Please, take me there."
"No." said Meicoomon through the phone.
"I'm outta here." said Ferrel.
At the warehouse, Miss May and Jack are arrested despite the fact that they did not commit a crime.
"Once again, what's your name?" asked the man.
"Jack and this lady right here is Miss May." said Jack.
"What were you doing?" asked the man.
"Classified." said Jack.
At the room, Shoutmon is reading a newspaper. The reading stops as the man in the bathroom loses consciousness. He then wakes the man up. At the warehouse, Alex and Shoutmon are shown in the video. Jack and Miss May show a video of him. Sam and Pete are at the forest.
"What took you so long?" asked Pete.
"I was with the man. His name is Murray." said Ferrel.
"Oh." said Pete.
Murray digs the ship that was hidden in the bed of grass. Meicoomon was suddenly summoned and found hope. At the command center, they observe a ship that was found in the grass via a screen.
"It turns out to be a malfunctioned ship." said Alex.
"Ferrel, what does that mean?" asked Meicoomon.
At the warehouse, three men found a worm inside Alex's abdomen. They left except Miss May and Jack. Back at the tent, Murray, Shoutmon, Meicoomon, Alex and Ferrel are figuring out how to make the ship start up again. Later at the warehouse, Palmon and Lalamon are put in a cell. Miss May and Jack are presented with a pepper spray, a gun, and a sword as well as syringe contianing heroin. Before they could inject Jack and Miss May with heroin in order to kill them, the scene changes to the forest. Murray and the the two men are taken to the truck. They are on the way to the destination.
"Listen, I'm not a killer or a purger." said Murray. "And I do not negotiate with purgers."
Alex and Shoutmon as well as Meicoomon and Ferrel are listening to the conversation. They then grab the guns to summon Terriermon. He does so after exiting the truck and going to the warehouse.
"You're up." said the man. The SWAT team is present. Alex, Shoutmon and Ferrel find Miss May and Jack alive, despite the injection.
"Miss May, Jack, you're all right." said Meicoomon.
Murray and Ferrel's men run from the warehouse to the outside. The ship that Murray found blows up. Later, Ferrel and his men are taken to the embarkation room with Murray. The gate is then activated. Hammond sends both the truck and Murray to the gate.
"I remember now." said Murray. "Meicoomon is right, he is the key to digivolution."
"So does Calumon." said Ferrel.
"Hammond says it's a go for Murray." said Jack.
Ferrel's men take Murray to the gate. They are transported to the deserted ruins.
"They were right." said Meicoomon. "Impmon said that they are ruins inside the place."
"We go home." said Ferrel.
