They danced. Danced to Beyond the sea by Bobby Darin. A man and a woman. They danced alone. Undisturbed. All they focused on were each other's company. Holding hands and moving in complete sync with only the music in the background.

Danced in a dark insulated room with no windows, only a flickering lamp right above them, barely illuminating the two. Barely illuminating their bodies trapped in skin tight silver suits. On their heads were helmets with one huge round red glowing visor in the middle covering their eyes. The rest of their bodies were covered in silver steel, leaving no skin, hair or any discernible features exposed.

The man was slightly taller than the woman. Their bodies were thin, almost skeletal, however their movements were smooth and elegant, like waves in the sea. The only thing that broke the illusion of their weightlessness were the sounds of their heavy footsteps hitting the dark floor or the puddles of blood.

The blood were from multiple piles of corpses on the floor and on broken tables and chairs. Most of them were regular people that anyone could meet on an average day, with some children too. A few of the corpses were men and women wearing police or military uniforms, of which country is unknown.

The way they died varied. Some were shot, some had been beaten or clawed to death, some had broken necks while a few were decapitated. Besides the police and soldiers were machine guns, some of which were broken. Their body armor proved useless against whatever killed them, as they were mercilessly torn apart with blood dripping from them.

But the two dancing paid no attention to the dead bodies around them. They only focused on themselves and the music. On dancing and hugging each other, as if they hadn't even noticed the corpses around them, or particularly cared.

Then a cough came from one of the people lying on the floor. The music slowed down, as did their dancing.

The coughing came from a brown-haired girl in a brown sweater, who continued to cough, no matter how hard she tried to hold it in. She held her hand on her mouth, trying desperately to quell the sounds of her lungs choking on the blood from her damaged throat. Her wide eyes tears up in fear as she tried uselessly to stop the pair from noticing her.

The music had stopped. She's no longer coughing, but she still held her hand on her mouth in case it started up again. Lying still, she hoped that the pair was going to move on, letting her escape. But her hopes were soon dashed as she hears two heavy footsteps approaching her. She continued to lie still however, in vain hope that it was all a coincidence, and that the two monsters in silver were simply walking past her.

As she lied there, she suddenly couldn't hear anything anymore. The girl carefully looks up to see where the pair had gone, only to be horrified as she saw them right above her, staring right at her. She tried to crawl away, but as she tried to crawl away as fast as she could, the armored woman kicks the girl over and picks her up by the neck. The girl tried desperately to hit the arm currently holding her up, but it was like hitting steel, and her assailant was not even budging.

The silver woman looks at her. The helpless girl in her arms could only watch as the red lights from her visor grew brighter and brighter, with the armored man behind her following suit. She could barely see past their lights, but she could see enough to know that the armored woman was about to claw at her. She struggles even more, but it was pointless as her soon to be murderer swiped.

Catherine wakes up in her bed with a loud gasp. She breathes heavily as she processes her dream. Shaking for a few minutes, she eventually calms down. The girl looks around the room and sees through her blinds that the sun is up. Catherine sighs heavily and gets out of bed.

She stands still for a few minutes just staring at the clothes on the floor. She's trying to work up the nerve to get dressed. The girl eventually picks up her clothes and gets dressed in her white sweater, blue jeans and black socks. She goes over to her door and goes out of her room.

Opening the door to the bathroom, she turns on the lights and steps in front of the mirror. In the mirror she sees an 18 year old brown haired girl. Her hair is long, covering the left side of her face. She moves the hair behind her ear revealing her left eye, which is covered by a large scar in the form of massive claw marks going from her forehead to her neck. Even though she tries to hide it, she knows that any observant person can see it.

This scar laced face is what she sees in the mirror everyday. This is how Catherine Tether sees her own face. As a reminder of the actions of those two monsters.

After brushing her teeth and hair, Catherine goes downstairs and turns left to the kitchen. There she sees Gillies Tether, her 19 year old brother. He's a boy with short brown hair and although he's older, they're about the same height. He's wearing a white hoodie and blue jeans. He's busy packing for work.

Catherine groggily asks "Leaving already?". Gillies stops packing his lunch and supplies, sighs and turns towards his sister with a smile.

He says "It's 8 o'clock. Work starts soon, so yes, I'm leaving already. Also, shouldn't you be getting ready?" Gillies watches Catherine go from groggy to shocked in an instant. She runs to pack her books, which she does in 1 minute, while her brother stands chuckling to himself.

The eighteen year old is now trying to make a sandwich for breakfast. While cutting the bread, her brother says "Calm down, I've already made a couple of sandwiches, for both breakfast and lunch. They're in the fridge." But Catherine isn't listening, and while hastily cutting the bread, she accidently cuts her finger.

She stops and stares with wide eyes at the blood dripping from her finger. Her eyes don't leave the finger until she feels a hand on her shoulder. The girl quickly turns around and sees her brother with a worried look on his face. Catherine now realized that she's been hyperventilating and her lungs hurt.

Gillies waits for a few minutes until she's calmed down. He then says "You had another nightmare about those two, the Silver brother and Sister, didn't you."

Catherine stared at her brother, hoping that he would say else something so that she wouldn't have to. Her fright turned to shame and she simply nodded, knowing it was enough. It happens so often that she didn't need to speak about it.

Her brother then sits takes his hand of her shoulder. He, with a sad smile, says "How about you take a trip to Rebecca after school? I'll fix dinner." He's talking about the school therapist Rebecca. This suggestion sound good to Catherine, since she and the therapist are on good terms. After all, Rebecca has looked out for her since she became a student at the school.

The girl quietly responds "Yeah, I would like that." Now calm, she goes to the fridge to get the sandwiches.

Gillies looks at her for a few seconds before saying "Are you sure you're ok?" Catherine turns around and gives him a strained smile with a thumbs up. He stares at her for a little while longer, but then finally goes to the foyer. He puts on a dark blue jacket and white shoes, then opens the door. But before leaving he says "Don't forget that you can ask me or Rebecca for help. And don't forget about Sigrid." He then exits the house and shuts the door, leaving Catherine alone.

Catherine stands in front of the fridge for a minute, before taking the sandwiches out. She goes to get her bag in a closet in the foyer and puts the food inside it. She then checks if all the books and homework for the day are in the bag, which they are. She then puts on a black jacket and her blue shoes before heading going to the door.

But before the high school girl leaves, she remember when she saw inside her bag earlier, and she can't say that she saw her math textbook in it. She looks into it, and sure enough, it isn't there. But before she can panic a disembodied green arm with long black bell sleeves brings the math textbook and puts it on the table behind her.

When Catherine turns around and sees the book, the arm has disappeared. She simply picks up her missing book, sighs in relief and puts it into the bag. Now ready for school, walks goes outside and closes the door behind her. The arm appears once again inside the house and turns off the light in the foyer.
