At the office, Ferrel greets Hammond.

"Come in." said Hammond.

"We are about to embark on a mission sir." said Ferrel.

"Have you met Private Ryan?" asked Hammond.

"He's new. Yes, I met him." said Ferrel.

"Meicoomon said he met Ryan also." said Hammond. "In Sapporo. Miss May is doing a lecture at a school and Jack is on his way to the headquarters."

Meanwhile, Miss May is doing a lecture inside the school.

"Alright class, we are doing some math problems. What is five times fifty?" asked Miss May.

"What?" asked the student. "It's 250."

"Wrong. I mean correct." said Miss May.

Later, the lecture ends when one student looks at the equation only to discover it is wrong.

"Wait. You need to graduate if you want to see the wrong stuff." said Miss May.

At the camp inside Sapporo, Alex, Shoutmon and Ferrel greet several of the fellow cadets.

"Jack is not here. He is at the cemetery with Sam and Pete." said Alex.

"Yup." said Meicoomon. "He said he will be back in a few hours."

"We need to talk about diplomacy." said the man.

At the office, Miss May shows up to see the principal.

"How was the lecture?" asked the principal.

"It was good. The equation was wrong, but the math was right and great." said Miss May.

The principal shows the results. It was a "D" for disappointing.

"I didn't summon Palmon. They say that there are no weapons allowed or smoking." said Miss May.

"Good. Good." said the principal.

Back at the camp, Ferrel is still conversing with Meicoomon and the man. At the lab, the same student who discovers that the equation is wrong is correcting the problem.

"Hello." said Miss May.

"I'm Karen." said Karen. "Nice to meet you."

"Biyomon is doing scavenging hunt with Gomamon inside the digital world, so I cannot summon them right now." said Miss May.

"The professor gave me a 'D' for disappointing. It was 65% complete." said Karen. "I'm late for an another class."

At the forest, Ferrel, Alex, Shoutmon and Meicoomon are walking through the trees to get to the city.

"How are the caves?" asked Meicoomon.

"Dark." replied Alex.

They see a firefly during the day.

"Look, it's a firefly." said Meicoomon.

At the classroom, Miss May gives the results to the teacher.

"Karen said that she received a 'D' overall for doing the wrong thing." said Miss May.

"Correct." said the teacher.

At the camp, three of the renaissance men are going to the city.

"This is a P90." said Ferrel. "It is designed to increase accuracy and damage to enemies."

"Until there is no threat, Impmon and I will hook up and deal with people." said Meicoomon.

"I suggest that we do what Ferrel says. Later." said Shoutmon.

They walk away from the men. At the office, Miss May is talking about the reports regarding a "D" rating on the results.

"Believe me, sir, Palmon cannot be summoned in a weapons-free facility. This DigiVice is shaped like a gun, that what makes it a weapon."

"I see." said the principal.

Karen shows up.

"I would ask you several questions." said Miss May. "Who are you?"

"I'm Karen. I'm an air force personnel in training." replied Karen.

"Why did you get a 'D'?" asked Miss May.

"I did everything only to get it wrong." replied Karen.

"Let's continue inside the halls." said Miss May.

Back at camp, three men are doing some science to see a firefly. They then follow it. From there, they found several fireflies. They are harmless. Meicoomon stares at the fireflies. At the headquarters, Karen is standing inside the briefing room. Miss May is talking to Hammond about Karen and her future. Later, Miss May summons Palmon and takes Karen to the embarkation room for the new mission and the future called the gate. They take her to the same area where Ferrel and Alex are located.

"Miss May, I see that you have a friend." said Ferrel.

Meicoomon's eyes dilates as he is in love with a human. Karen looks pleased with Meicoomon.

"Who's this cat?" asked Karen.

"He's Meicoomon, he's cute." said Ferrel.

Meicoomon shakes hands with Karen. Inside the tent, they captured a firely. The firefly later escapes and attacks a man, multiplying them. This causes the man to get killed.

"Run! Run!" cried the man before passing away from the firefly.

The other man runs to get Ferrel. Back at the tent, Karen looks at several vehicles and greets Alex and Shoutmon. The other man warns the others. Ferrel goes after the firefly with Meicoomon, Impmon, Alex and Shoutmon. They then find a corpse.

"This is why you never mess with the firefly." said Ferrel.

"Let's summon Terriermon and digivolve to Gargomon." said Impmon.

Ferrel then summons Terriermon so that he can digivolve to Gargomon to deal with the fireflies. Miss May summons Tentomon and deals with the other set of fireflies.

"We're trapped!" cried Miss May. "They just keep coming!"

Gargomon then de-digivolves back to Terriermon and goes inside to the tent for safety.

"We need a plan." said Ferrel.

"The plan is to make the building electrocuted so that the fireflies get killed." said Miss May.

"Shoot him again." said Karen.

"How about letting Palmon and Terriermon engage in a 2-on-1 fight against the fireflies?" asked Alex.

"Good idea." said Ferrel. "Palmon, Terriermon, take Meicoomon and Impmon through the rendezvous point, which is located in the exit."

"Yes, sensei." said Terriermon. "Palmon, let's go. Take Meicoomon and Impmon to the rendezvous point."

"Kill the man if he is doing something stupid." said Ferrel.

Shoutmon leaves Alex and reaches to the rendezvous point with a flamethrower.

"Mei-mei, the gate is surrounded by fireflies, what should we do?" said Impmon.

"We can defeat them." said Meicoomon.

As they defeat the fireflies, Alex comes for the rescue. The gate is activated in a nick of time. The fireflies turn into fire before disintegrating.

"We did it!" cried Shoutmon. "Alex, you're the man!"

"I did it just to help you." said Alex.

"Thanks, let's go home." said Meicoomon.
