Sanji sat in the passenger side of the car. He sat next to Zoro as he drove. He was a little confused on where they were going. Sanji looked behind him to see Arin and Luane talking to each other in low voice. Lili is still asleep, Arin and Zoro had watched a movie the night before but Lili didn't fall asleep till they were in the bedroom with her, so she was still tired.

"Zoro where are we going?" Arin asks.

"I told you we are going to my home. The place where I was raised."

"But why?" Arin asks.

"It's a surprise. You'll see when we get there." Zoro says smiling at him through the rear view mirror.

"Is it really okay for us to be here too?" Sanji asks.

"Yeah it's fine. Perona told me to pick you and Luane up and drive you there."

"Perona did?"

"Yup." Zoro nods, eyes focused on the road. Sanji looked over at the kids to see them talking to each other again.

"Zoro I'm sorry about the date." Sanji says so the kids don't hear him.

"It's alright. It was a date." Zoro says.

"You may be fine with it but this was supposed to be the perfect date." Sanji groans.

"I told you it's ok, not everyone has the same view on what a perfect date is." Zoro says trying to get Sanji to forget about it. "I was shocked about the restaurant you chose."

"I know you don't like fancy restaurants." Sanji says defeated. Zoro takes a peak at him. He seems really upset about this. Maybe that's why Perona told him to pick them up. To get them to talk, she has been hanging out with Nami for some time now so he wouldn't put it past either of them if they started making bets with each other. That or they are working together.

The car got quiet as they saw they were a little far from the city. It was like they were out in the country. Zoro use to live around here? They all looked out the window as empty fields, tree filled forests pass by.

As they drove more they got more curious. Where are they going? What's out here?

Zoro then turned into a stone driveway. They get to a huge mansion at the end cars littered the roundabout. Zoro parked, not that there was a parking space he just stopped the car behind another one. Can't go any further than where he stopped. He got out the car and went to get Lili and the baby bag. Arin, Luane and Sanji sat there stunned. What is going on?

"Come on." Zoro says to them. Arin and Luane are the first to take off their seat belts and get off. Zoro closes the door for them. Then Sanji exits the car. Zoro walks to the front door with the other three slowly walking behind him. He rings the doorbell and a butler opens the door. He smiles at Zoro and they talk about something before he opens the door more. Zoro looks behind himself to see the others walking like snails. "Hurry up." Zoro says. He walks in with Lili in his arms. When Sanji, Arin and Luane walk through the door closes behind them thanks to one of the butlers.

"If you will follow me." He butler says. They follow him through maze that is the mansion. The butler opens the door to what seem like the backyard.

"Surprise!"

"Congrats!" Is yelled at them, all three kids jump in their skin. Sanji sees that everyone is there. Law, Marco, Luffy, Ace, Sabo, Perona, Nami, Robin, Franky, Brook, Usopp, Kaya, Chopper, Vivi and their other friends. Zoro's parents are also here along with some people he's never met before.

"What is this?" Sanji says, Luane and Arin looking as confused as Sanji is. Zoro bends down to next to Arin.

"This is a party for you Arin. Your adoption party."

"You adopted me?"

"Yeah, and Lili. We are here to celebrate." Zoro smiles. Aring gives Zoro a hug, Zoro hugs back with his free hand making sure that Arin didn't squish Lili. "It's also you sisters but mostly for you." Zoro says.

"Thank you."

"No, thank you." Zoro whispers into his ear. Arin lets go of Zoro. He turns to Luane, takes her hand and pulls her away to talk to the others.

Sanji watches Zoro and Luane. While Luane is having fun Zoro is talking to the others while he sat away from the others. So this is where Zoro lived. It's no wonder he wasn't one for showing off wealth. He didn't care for it, and it's not really him. It also explained a couple things. How Zoro got his three golden earrings, why he didn't care much about money, how he was always able to pay Nami back.

He can't say it enough, he's an idiot and he fucked up. Why was he trying to impress Zoro? He had fallen in love with him because... he didn't know but it wasn't because he was impressed. Plus they knew each other for years, there wasn't a need to impress they've seen each others embarrassing moments plenty of times, there have also been some cool moments, funny moments, impressing him is the last thing that should have been running through his head.

"Are you okay?" Sanji looks up to see Zoro standing there in front of him. He didn't have Lili and had a plate of food in his hand as he munched on it.

"Where Lili?" Zoro wouldn't leave his eye off her.

"She's over there," He points to a small crowd of people and Sanji follows his finger, "she's getting fawned over by Shanks and the maids." He explains, Shanks sat on a chair holding Lili in his arms smiling while said maids took pictures and made silly noises at her and expressing how cute she is. Sanji nods then looks back down to the cup in his hand. "Are you okay? Sick perhaps?" Zoro asks sitting next to him, he places the back of his hand on the blonde's forehead. "No, you feel fine." Zoro says.

"I'm sorry Zoro." He says again.

"I told you-"

"No," he cuts the mosshead off, but he didn't yell he didn't want to cause a scene, "I really like you. I was hoping this date would rekindle those feeling you have for me but all it did is make you upset. And I see why. I tried to impress you like I would a woman, even though you obviously don't need that," Sanji sweeps his hand in front of him motioning to the huge backyard to the freakin mansion he lived in. "I should have planned something different, more fun. And now I just don't know what made you like me in the first place."

"I liked you before because I knew you could be kind, if you really wanted to but you just chose to be more kind to woman. You go over the top to make sure what you made for the girls were perfect and beautiful you still thought about Luffy and us. You weren't the perfect gentleman you claim to be but I didn't want someone perfect, and you weren't an asshole like those we beat the crap out of. We may have fought but it was fun." Zoro smiled. Sanji felt his heart thump against his chest hard. His felt his cheeks get warm. That faded when Zoro looked down with an upset face. "As I told you it's not your fault. About the restaurant, I didn't mind a fancy dinner it's just the restaurant you chose... was... not a good choice for me." Zoro says.

"You didn't mind the fancy dinner?"

"It was fine, I don't mind getting fancy here and there."

"Then why didn't you like it?"

"That place makes me sad."

"Why?"

"You don't want to hear it."

"But I do, I need to know so I don't make the same mistake again." Sanji says, determination written on his face. Zoro knew the blonde wasn't going to let it go. Zoro let out a sigh, what was the point of hiding it.

"Jamie proposed to me there."

"Oh." Sanji voices, that really is bad. The blonde felt worse than before. Taking him on a date to the place his fiance proposed to him. Talk about ruining a memory. "Sorry."

"It's okay, you didn't know. And it wasn't all bad, that crepe was really good." Zoro says, Sanji chuckles so that was the only good thing about the date.

"Zoro, please go on another date with me." Sanji says, face determined. Zoro smiles.

Zoro was watching the cook during this party, he wasn't paying any attention to Luane and seemed upset. The date really seemed to get to him. And now he knew why, Sanji really liked him, so he says. And if this is him after a bad first date then... he wouldn't mind trying this out. It's not like he had someone else in mind. He's happy again and why can't he share it with Sanji?

The cook had messed things up but he's trying and now Zoro should put some effort too.

"Okay, but this time I'm planning it." Zoro says.

"That's probably for the best." Sanji says. They sat in silence. "Zoro you don't have to talk but... can you tell me what Jamie was like. I... have asked the others that knew him but I wanted to ask you. You don't have to tell me anything."

"Jamie wasn't a saint. He was kind to everyone no matter what but when he was told something he would be cautious afterwords. At first he didn't trust anyone of us but after some time together he did. It was a really fun two years." Zoro set his plate to the side. Sanji put his cup down too. "He was like the devil when you got on his bad side."

"Do you already have a date in mind or do you need more time to plan it?"

"I'll have to think it over, I'll text you when I do."

That made Sanji feel a lot better. He knew the answer to multiple questions. He's not as upset as he was before.

Now to wait for the next date. Sanji became excited for that. He wondered what Zoro would have in mind.

He joins the others in their talking, enjoying the party.
