Hello everyone! I have brought to you another fanfiction for the year. This fanfiction that has been sitting in my folder for a year now and hasn't been touched since. That is until I came across this story again two days ago.

I re-read it and finally came up with the decision to remake it and polishing it to a something better.

"Operator, messages have arrived in the inbox" Ordis, The Ship Cephalon said while Hayden was meditating in his Personal Quarter.

Whatever it may be, he hope it was important. As Hayden open my inbox revealing to be lotus. "Tenno, Grinner intruders have been detected in the Void and are forcing their way to the portal. You must stop them at once." She said in serious tone.

Once Hayden received the message, he went to the arsenal to equip his latest warframe, Lavos. He was a very unique frame that can transmute elements and use them in his powers. He was an alchemist and transmutation was the beauty of his existence.

Along with his warframe were two Kuva weapons and 1 orokin heavy blade. Kuva Bramma explosive bow, Kuva Brakk semi-auto shotgun, and lastly, The Paracesis heavy blade, the sentient slayer.

It was not long before he arrived at the base of Stribog from the Void. According to Lotus, this is a sabotage mission. Hayden's task is to find the portal room that connects the Orokin Void with another location. Whoever these intruders think they are. They surely are not welcome in this place.

Upon reaching the portal room, the task was very simple. Hayden must reverse the polarity from the generators in order for the portal to close. Which is achieved by hacking the designated consoles within the portal room. Upon activation of the portal, Hayden guarded each console from enemy attack for minimum of 50 seconds and make sure that the generator will be contributing 50% power to the portal.

Next step was to crossover the portal that leads Hayden to the grinner tileset and standing in front of the portal is the Torsion Beam Generator. The next task is to find the Grineer who is in possession of the void key. Hayden figure out who had it.

It was none other than the two fearsome Grineer sisters. Sprag and Ven'kra Tel.

It was not surprise at all for Hayden have taken them down multiple times but these two just don't take a hint. "Coming through that portal was a big mistake, Tenno." Ven'kra Tel threatened. A threat that he has heard many times. It has also become annoyance as well.

"Big mistake! Big mistake!" Sprag added.

Hayden sighed under his warframe and pulled out his Kuva Brakk, aiming the secondary shotgun to one of the Grineer sisters and shot Sprag in the head, killing her in the process.

"What have you done to her!?" Ven'kra Tel roared and raised her sniper rifle to aim at me. "She will be remembered! Who will remember-"

Ven'kra Tel was not able to finish her sentence when her body froze from Lavos's Vial Rush and shot her in the head afterwards. With her frozen body shattered in the ground, it dropped along with the void key. "So much for last words." Hayden said before he picked up the void key and dash his way back to the generator.

When reached to the objective, Hayden quickly placed the key to the generator and the whole tileset began to collapse. "Head to the portal before the whole place collapse." Lotus ordered.

With 30 seconds left, Hayden was about to crossover the portal until he felt something or someone pulled him back away from the portal. His back made a hard contact in the wall. It was took down all of his shields but it did not affect his health.

Whatever did this to him must be powerful.

Hayden recovered from the impact and took a glance at his attacker. There, standing in the portal is the notorious Shadow Stalker, wielding his War blade.

"Stalker, how many times do we have to do this?"

"You shall not leave this place…" Shadow Stalker replied with his eerie voice. As much Hayden wants to take time to beat this dark psychopath, the time he needed is not with him as he had only 15 seconds left before the portal collapse.

Hayden uses Lavos's Ophidian Bite on Stalker, trying to lash him out with toxic attacks but was quickly stopped from Stalker's hand grabbing Hayden's throat. "Not this time…."

Hayden uses Lavos's Parazon as the last resort and stabbed it in the hand of his assaulter and Stalker lets go of Hayden's neck. 5 seconds left before the portal collapse. "Tenno, you are running out of time. Get out of there. Now!" Lotus cried.

Hayden sprinted to the portal, ignoring Stalker behind but he barely made it to the portal as the timer went off. The whole portal collapsed and it brought along with both Hayden and Stalker. Both disappeared in sight.

"Operator? Are you there?" Ordis asked but all he got was silence and radio static. "Operator!? Operator!"

Pridelands

Faction: Unknown

He was dead for sure. He did not make it out in the portal in time. But at least he finished the mission before his defeat. Now he can finally rest in peace and join his dead parents in the afterlife. Probably Margulis too.

Hayden opened his eyes when he heard a call from the Eagle in the sky. He groaned in pain when tries to sat up and place a head in his head. Looking through his arm, he still in Transference with Lavos. He looked to see that he was no longer in the Grineer tileset nor at the Marduk location he was before.

Is he dead? No, it cannot be. This cannot be the afterlife. If he was, he would greet his parents and Margulis around.

He looked around and found that his weapons are still around. He sighed in relief as he would need to rely on them for the time being as he need to figure where he is now.

Hayden inspected the place once more. The biome is very different than he remembered in his world. It was nothing like Plains of Eidolon back in Cetus.

This place is pure plain grassland. No Grineer camps, no orokin artifacts or whatsoever. It was just so pure nature and silence. It feels somewhat…peaceful.

But still, no place like this is considered safe. He needs to take extra caution for what kind of beings roam in this area. Hayden gets up and continues to scan the area. Hayden started to travel his way in this mysterious biome, hoping that he can find something or someone who can help him.

(Timeskip)

Hours of walking in the biome and still no sign of anything useful. Just full of nothing and it was getting dark soon. He needs to find a place to camp for tonight. It was until he spotted a large rock cave (Bigger than the one Scar lived on) in his west side. He made decision to camp here for the night.

Hayden settled down at his new campsite. He transferred out from Lavos and sat down in the side of the wall. Lavos went out in his free will to collect a few wood logs for him to start some campfire.

Night has come and Lavos successfully made some fire for them to be kept warm at night. He brought his hands together and breathe on it to warm it up a bit. "Thanks for the fire, Lavos." Hayden said and gave him a small smile.

Lavos responded with a nod and went to meditate. Hayden sighed and lay down in the floor to have some sleep. Tomorrow he will resume his investigation of this mysterious place he is on.

(Meanwhile, Mufasa's POV)

Priderock

Many years has passed ever since Mufasa's father passed away. He was elected as the new king of the pride rock. A lot of things has changed since that day and many tribes gain respect from him. He was married to his mate, Sarabi, and she eventually became his queen. Few months later, they had a cub named Simba and he is going to be next in line.

However, there were some bad sides of the change. Reports of hyena raids on herds or other tribes has become a serious issue to Mufasa's pride lands. They were the very reason of the chaos that spread through the land causing conflict and destruction due to their disbelief in the balance of the circle of life.

Scar, Mufasa's younger brother, have become too distant with the pride and avoided contact with him or anyone else ever since their father chose Mufasa as the king. He was getting worried about his own brother because he does not want to know what runs through the thoughts of his brother.

On this particular day, Mufasa was getting prepared for today's morning round. He got his spear and bow equipped with him for protection. "You ready for the today?" He heard the voice of his beautiful mate as she was carry their cub around her arms.

"Yes. I will be back this evening. Take care of our precious son." Mufasa said with a smile forming in his face. She return a smile to him as well a kiss in the cheeks.

"Be sure to come back in time" she said before returning to the den along with her friend Sarafina, who was also carry a cub in her arms. Mufasa smiled at her on last time before resuming to his morning round.

As he left the pride rock to begin his morning rounds, Mufasa decided to check the Eastern borders of the pride rock just to make sure no rogues enter to the territory. So far he did not sense or detect any presence of rogues. Which was a relief.

Then he went to the Elephant Graveyard next to check for hyena presences. There was nothing but the awful view of dead animal bones in the ground, volcanic like boilers, and dark rocks. The smell sickens him sometimes.

Just when Mufasa was about to end his morning round, he heard feminine screams and maniacal laughter from the distance. Mufasa followed the noises and what he saw is deeply horrifying. A group of Hyenas (30 of them) chasing a female Panther. She was sprinting her way out from the graveyard as the hyenas were still behind her until she tripped into a log and fell to the ground.

She was about to stand up but the hyenas already have it surrounded. "Hey girly, where do you think you're going?" I heard one of them speak as the other two grabbed her by the arms. "Don't worry, we'll end this quick. But if you'll behave then we'll take you to our tribe as our fine addition for breeding stock." they laughed at the helpless panther girl as she cried from her fate. Mufasa couldn't bear to watch the girl to suffer from this monsters anymore.

He let out a roar and stepped out from my hiding spot. The hyenas were alarmed from his roar and they went to their attacking position. "Let her go." Mufasa demanded.

"Or what? You and what army, King Mufasa." The leader spoke as he ordered his men to take me down. Without a second thought, Mufasa pull out his bow and aim the two arrows in the two hyena that held the panther girl.

He shot them to their arms and they screamed in pain as they let go of the girl. "Get out of here! Now!" Mufasa cried at the girl. She nodded and run off to the west.

The hyena leader growled, "Forget the girl. The king of the pridelands needs to be taught a lesson." The leader and the rest of his men that stayed surrounded the king with their spears.

Mufasa pulled out his spear and went with his fighting stance. "Bring it then."

(Back with Hayden, this time in his POV)

A loud booming noise woke Hayden up from my sleep. He glance around to see that He is still in the cave. He knew it was not dream and he felt to be a complete fool for thinking it was.

Hayden looked at Lavos, his warframe was facing outside the cave. Hayden got curious at what Lavos was looking at. When he stepped outside, he heard someone yelps and blood curling screams behind the cave. Hayden climbed up from the top of the cave to find the source of the noise.

Once in the top, what he saw was an ongoing fight between 1 anthro lion and 30 anthro hyenas. Despite lacking any back up, the lion was handling himself well as he managed to defeat 8 hyenas with his own spear.

Then he noticed that the lion is reaching to limits from the way he knelt down in front of his enemies out of exhaustion. The hyena in the middle of the group laughed at the lion. "Tired already? That's a shame. You could have save some energy for me."

Hayden could not understand what the hyena said from the language he spoke but the way he said it to the lion, Hayden can tell that the hyena is mocking the lion. The lion fought well and Hayden saw him more of a true warrior than the mutts in front of him. Then this is where Hayden decided that he should help the lion.

(Mufasa)

Exhaustion was all that Mufasa can feel in his body. He managed to kill 8 of the hyenas but that was not enough to make the rest of the group retreat back. The leader mocked him for losing all the strength to keep on. He wants to continue to fight but his body won't comply with him and can barely stand up anymore.

The hyena leader laughed at Mufasa until he heard screams of his fellow comrades behind him. The hyena leader turned to see 10 of his men were turned into frozen ice. Behind them was a mysterious creature in black. There were serpent-like parasites roaming in its body, Red smoke filling its body, and it has a deformed helmet with a red glowing orb underneath it.

"What the hell is that? Kill it!" The hyena leader cried. The rest of the hyenas charged on the creature but some were ended up being poisoned by the lashes from the serpents in the creature's arm.

One hyena tried to decapitate the creature but he was torn in half when the creature pulled out its big sword and started swinging it like a whirlwind. The rest of the group were caught in the blade and were slashed in half as well.

Mufasa and the hyena leader watched in horror as they saw all of the rest of hyenas were slaughtered by this unknown being that possess supernatural abilities. One that they have never seen before. The hyena leader was already feeling fear for the first time. It has been too long when he felt so afraid.

The hyena leader was about to make his way back until the creature dashed forward to him and grabbed him by the neck. What Mufasa saw next was worse than any experiences he encountered. Mufasa watches as the hyena was making choking noises while he was being liquefied. Turning him into a weird, stinky, and disgusting goo.

It was a gruesome sight to see but he was also entranced by the unnatural powers of this being. The creature slowly transformed the remains of the hyena into a serpent parasites like the ones roaming in his body, which indicates to Mufasa that the hyena leader has become part of this creature and it is a prisoner now.

Mufasa felt tenser when the creature turns to him and approached him. Will it turn him into one of those things slithering in its body as well? Mufasa does not even know what the creature is and what its intentions are?

The creature knelt down and offered its metallic hand. "A-are…you…o-okay?" The creature asked in a broken Swahili language. Mufasa was shocked that it can speak in their language as well. But the way it was said, he could tell that he was not fluent with the language yet.

"I'm fine…Thank you…" Mufasa replied and took the creature's hand. It was cold. Colder than any rocks that he touched before. The creature help him stand up. "Thank you for the help. I would ended up being a snack to this savages."

The creature did not respond this time. It just stared at Mufasa like he does know to reply to his words. Mufasa is totally up for this challenge as there was a massive language barrier. "Look, mister creature sir. Um…I would pretty much in need of your help." Mufasa spoke up. "You see, my body is not in a good condition right now. It's getting dark soon and I'm an easy target for whatever lurks in this place now. Would it be alright if you help get back to the pride rock."

The creature just stared at him without saying anything. Mufasa tried again but with simple sentences this time. "Help. Me. Get. Home." He slowly said as he pointed himself and the pride rock from the distance. The creature looked at the direction that Mufasa was pointing. He was hoping that the creature got the message.

The creature looked at him and said. "Will….help."

Mufasa smiled a little as he assisted by the creature. He place his arm around the creature neck. He was cold like he said before. He could feel some of the serpents slithering and it felt icky. But he needs to accept all the help he was given right now. Especially from a being that is probably not from this world.

The creature help Mufasa walked and make their journey back to the pride rock. This is going to be hard to explain to the pride once they find out about this thing and hope that Sarabi won't be mad at him for not coming home in time.
