She didn't get to dance with Bonnie last night but it was probably for the best. Mary-Louise was still very much upset with her and was absolutely convinced she was harboring some secret feelings for the Bennett witch. She did her best to placate her girlfriend, which she did to a degree...but she could tell the blonde still held her suspicions.

She took in a silent breath before gingerly knocking on the witch's dorm door.

There was some movement behind the door before it opened, revealing a seemingly surprised Bonnie. "You came."

"You seem surprised. We did set an engagement at this time and place." She reminded with a cocked brow.

"Yeah, I know. I just thought that-" She waved her hand dismissively before beckoning her in. "Never mind, come in."

Nora stepped in with her hands clasp, quickly recognizing the setup of Bonnie's dorm, even though she's only seen it once. "Not much has changed here."

Bonnie looked confused for a moment. "Uh, no..." She moved some sweaters and jeans off her bed. "Caroline and I decided a while ago that our styles were way too different to mesh together. We compromised on a simple theme."

Nora nodded absentmindedly before turning to the witch. "Hm. Where shall I set up?"

"Oh, we can do it over here on my bed." The witch called over her shoulder, causing Nora to stop in her step, eyes shifting to the bed in question.

She was suddenly very nervous. Was this appropriate? I mean, her and Bonnie are friends...Friends hang out on each other's beds. She saw it once in one of those teenage films she watched at one of the university outdoor film showings.

So why did she feel so hesitant? Maybe it was Mary-Lou in the back of her mind. She knew the blonde would absolutely not be okay if she were to spend anytime in the witch's bed, regardless of the reason.

"Nora?" She looked up to see Bonnie staring at her with a concerned expression. "You okay?"

Her eyes flickered between Bonnie and her bed. "Um.."

Bonnie followed her eyes to her bed, before a look of realization crossed her features. "Oh..." She glanced back up at the taller brunette. "Nora, I didn't mean-"

"I know." Nora assured softly, shifting her weight on her feet. "It's just- it wouldn't be fair to Mary-Lou."

Bonnie stared at her for a few moments before she began nodding slowly. "Yeah, of course." She bit her lip as she looked around. "It's just Caroline's stuff has kind of taken over our desk- I know, we can go to the south courtyard. It's pretty peaceful around this time of day. Plenty of tables. No beds. I promise."

Now she felt bad. "Bonnie, I don't mean to put you out-"

"No, you're right. I don't want you to be uncomfortable." She gathered up her bags and books, before shooting her an expectant look. "C'mon."

Nora smiled gratefully at the witch, feeling herself grow warm inside at her sweet understanding. "Okay."

Bonnie smiled back her in return.

"C'mon you know this." Bonnie encouraged gently to her with a knowing smile, as she sat across from her. They had been studying and quizzing each other on and off for the last two hours. The heretic was immensely grateful as she's learned more in the last couple of hours than she had within the last several weeks of the semester.

"It's George Caghn, right? He's the one who pioneered that initial research in Maine…" She answered hesitantly. Bonnie had an outstanding poker face so she could never judge whether her responses were correct or not, based on the witch's facial expressions.

Bonnie's green eyes shifted to the note card in her hand before lifting back to her. "That's correct."

A giddy smile broke out on the heretic's face. "Yeah?"

The witch grinned in return with a nod. "Yeah, Nora. You're going to be fine in this class. You've totally been overthinking it."

"Well, it helps that I had a pretty face to assist me, rather than Professor Kyle's pudgy visage to look at." She almost face palmed at letting those words slip out of her mouth. Bonnie glanced down at her lap with a small smile.

"Well we could continue these on a regular basis, if you want? We work pretty well together. Be kind of stupid to waste it." The witch said with a cocked brow.

Nora nodded. "I'd like that." They held each other's gaze briefly until Bonnie looked away. A subtle blush forming on her cheeks, that made the heretic smile to herself.

Bonnie cleared her throat. "So, we just need to get you a Calculus tutor. I wasn't kidding about being bad at math. Calc is kind of kicking my ass right now too. We'd be no good to each other." She joked, taking a sip of her water bottle.

"Perhaps then, you should accompany me with this tutoring as well then. We can get better together."

Bonnie licked her lips. "Perhaps I should."

"Then we shall." She glance at her watch. It's been well over three hours since she been here. Bonnie would probably need to eat soon. "Are you hungry?"

"Yeah, I could eat." She sent her a sly smile. "You want to grab a bite? And by bite, I mean actual food. Our student body isn't on the menu today."

"Ha ha ha." Nora mocked softly with an amused smile, happy that Bonnie no longer believed she'd do that anymore. "Sure. What'd you have in mine?"

Bonnie seemed to think a for a moment. "Well, it's Tuesday. How about tacos?"

Nora lifted a brow. "I suppose, but what does the day of the week have to do with tacos?"

Bonnie giggled. "It's a whole thing..,I'll explain on the way."

"I never in my life thought I would eat food from someone's truck. The twenty-first century is truly an unusual era." Nora mused as she took another bite, rolling her eyes at a grinning Bonnie. The witch had to really convince the reluctant heretic that food trucks were perfectly normal and sanitary- though, even she wasn't too sure on that last point.

"But..?" The witch edged, leaning forward.

"But," Nora began with a reluctant smile. "This is the best tasting taco I've ever had."

Bonnie sat back triumphantly. "I told you so."

Nora smiled at her gloat before playfully rolling her eyes. "I'll never doubt you again."

A comfortable silence fell over them whilst they ate their tacos.

"So..." Bonnie began, eying the table suddenly. "You never came back down last night."

"Yeah. I know." She didn't offer anything else. It was obvious why she never returned.

Bonnie nodded in understanding then sighed wistfully. "Well, it's a shame, I had to give your dance away."

Nora smiled, leaning forward. "Is that so?"

"Mhm." Bonnie sported an amused smirk. "Enzo is a particularly charming asshole, him not having two left feet made up for it though."

Her smile slipped a little. "Enzo?"

Bonnie took a sip of her soda with a nod. "Yeah, he offered me a dance last night. I figured what the hell."

"Oh." She felt...annoyed? She knows she shouldn't care with whom the Bennett witch chooses to spend her time- however...the idea of Bonnie waiting for her return last night and then to have Enzo swoop in...bothered her.

Bonnie quirked a brow. "I'm sensing you're not his biggest fan?"

"What? Oh, Enzo is well enough. He's been with us for a very long time."

The witch's head tilted. "Tell that to your face."

Nora ran her tongue over her teeth carefully. "I've just always found him rather shameless.."

"Although, I wouldn't be surprised...that's not the first word I'd use to describe him." She feigned a thoughtful expression. "Narcissistic jerk would be a start though." She smiled wickedly.

Nora shook her head with a disgusted expression, staring out at the campus' freshly mowed lawn. "He's been lusting after Lily for as long as I've known him, despite knowing her heart is with Julian. He still holds out hope that one day she'll give in." She connected their eyes. "She's far too good for him. And so are you, by the way."

Bonnie blinked in surprise, setting her drink down. "Oh, when I said he was a charming asshole. There was heavy emphasis on the asshole part. I just figured it'd be more trouble trying to get out of a dance with him rather than vise versa." She laughed, bending down to pick up a napkin that fell. "Absolutely no attraction there."

"Oh, good." Nora muttered under her breath.

"Besides," Bonnie breathed, coming back up. "he's so not my type,"

This perked her interest, as she sat straighter. "Oh? W-what t'is your type, if you don't mind me asking, of course."

"I guess..someone who isn't totally self-centered. Someone who cares for others, not just me. Someone that I know I can depend on no matter what." She played with her rings on her fingers, getting lost in her thoughts. "Someone that makes me a better person and that I can completely adore without any restraints or restrictions. I guess just, someone I know I would be completely content spending a lifetime with, no matter how long or short it is."

Nora's eyes softened as she took in the brunette's words and faraway gaze. "That's beautiful, Bonnie."

She adverted her eyes, momentarily feeling embarrassed. "What about you?" Her eyes turned playful. "Let me guess- Blonde Angelica Jolie look alike?"

Nora let out a laugh, recalling the first time Bonnie said that to her. "I wish you would tell me who that is."

She held a secret smile. "Just know she is a very beautiful woman. Who is brunette."

Nora shook her head, trusting her. "Well, I mean...I'm not quite sure. I've never really had time to think about it, I suppose." She frowned, rubbing her fingers against the table. "As you know, Mary-Louise is the only woman I've been with- and..and, um-" She struggled trying to find words.

"Hey," Bonnie called gently, reaching across to touch her hand. "You don't owe me any explanations, okay? I was kind of kidding, anyway.."

"But this is what friends talk about right? This is something I should know about myself?"

The witch shrugged. "If you've already found your person, what does it matter?" The heretic grew silent, staring at the table. Bonnie frowned. "Nora, I didn't mean to upset you-"

"You haven't." She answered, still staring at the table. "It's just- I remember the first day of college. The presenter talked of how you're supposed to find yourself and make discoveries here." She rolled her eyes. "You know then, I dismissed it all as American, sappy hogwash-" Bonnie bit back a smile at Nora's old English slang slipping out easily. "But now- I suppose now I'm realizing that perhaps I don't know myself at t'all."

Bonnie stared at her, before gripping her hand reassuringly. "Well, if makes you feel any better. I'm still figuring myself out as well. I'm just as clueless as you."

Nora finally looked up at her with a small, shy smile. "I suppose that brings me a little comfort."

"There's no clock on how long till you do figure it out, y'know? Take as long as you need to figure out who you are and what you want."

They stare at each other unmoving.

Her phone then buzzed with a message from Mary-Louise. She was wondering where she was. She looked up at Bonnie, who was sliding her hand back. She didn't say anything but she could tell the witch knew who texted her. "I should be heading back home now."

"Okay."

"Thank you for everything. I wouldn't have understood any of this stuff without you."

The witch chuckled. "I don't know about that, but you're welcome."

"I guess I should go now." She said quietly but made no move to get up.

"If you have to." Was Bonnie's soft response, as she searched her eyes. She didn't know what the witch was search for but she did know it could potentially become awkward if she stayed any longer. She quickly stood and gathered her belonging before bidding Bonnie farewell with a small wave. She was nearly crossed the courtyard when she heard Bonnie calling after her.

"Nora, wait!" She turned to see the witch just catching up to her with flushed cheeks. She handed her a small strip of paper. "Here."

"What's this?" She took the scrap paper to see ten digits written on it. She looked up to Bonnie with confusion.

Bonnie shrugged with a lazy smile. "Friends text each other."

Nora felt her stomach twist up as she looked down at the phone number, trying to bit back a smile. She and Bonnie were friends. "I'm pretty quick with this thing but bear in mind I'm still trying to sort out those dreadful acronyms everyone seems to favor over actual English."

Bonnie laughed aloud at that. "Don't worry. I like to type my words out. No acronyms with me."

"Then I suppose I'll text you when.." She trailed off, unsure when she was supposed to text the shorter brunette.

"Whenever you feel like it." Bonnie easily supplied. "No pressure." She added jokingly.

She glanced back down at the number with a genuine smile. "Thank you, Bonnie."

Bonnie bit her lip with a smile as she began walking backwards. "See you later?"

Nora nodded eagerly, clutching the number in her hand, heart oddly pounding in her chest. "Yeah, see you later."
