Chapter 4.
Prompts 16-20
ME: So sorry about the lack of updates, very annoying and painful physical problems in real life made it very hard to actual SIT and work so unfortunately I was unable to actually complete Marichat May on time this year. Not that it hasn't been eating me up from the inside.
So for everybody who's actually still interested in this poor excuse of a drabble collection, I have a double update for you! Admittedly a poor double update because at this point I just wanna get this done so sorry for the suckiness!
Reviews and comments are appreciated!
16. Purring
She reached up and pinched his ear when the vibrating humming in hers was getting to be too much. "Chat about, it's Sunday. The only day of the week where I can actually sleep in, if you don't stop that purring I will smother you with every pillow at my disposal."
17. Locked in
It had been a few days since she had seen Chat and loathe as she was to admit it, she was beginning to miss him. After almost a week of silence, she received a text from an unidentified number.
Sorry I haven't been by. Got in trouble with my dad and was grounded, got my phone taken too. :'( Just got it back tho, so get ready for a truckload of happy cat pictures! ;D
He definitely lived up to his word as her phone was instantly buzzing with picture after picture of ridiculous cat memes. She simply watched them come with a relieved smile.
18. Oops
Chat could only say one thing as Marinette's boiling expression darkened even further at the sight of the elaborate dress she had finally finished working on that day now completely ruined by the massive ice cream staining the delicate fabric. "Oops."
The screams of frustration that followed after him as he scrambled out of her room only added to the mortification.
19. Friends
Chat Noir didn't return to the bakery for almost two weeks.
Marinette refused to feel guilty about his absence since the whole thing was his fault to begin with; instead, she poured all her frustrations into her work, stitching and restitching, measuring and cutting, creating and modifying and putting all thoughts of that clumsy, reckless, thoughtless tomcat out of her mind. Almost. It took Tikki to finally glance at her phone and notice the singular text that appeared in the screen.
I know I'm the last person you want to hear from, but please believe me when I say I'm sorry. I shouldn't have been so careless with your things and I promise, if you give me a chance, I'll be nothing but careful from now on. I hope we're still friends. The sincere message was quickly followed by a sad kitty emoji and hands folded in prayer, a pleading sign.
To her lacking surprise, Marinette couldn't really find it in her to be upset at him anymore.
20. Safety
Marinette did appreciate the thought, she really did but something had to be said. "Chat, why in the world did you bring a construction worker helmet?"
"After that nasty bump on your head you got from that Akuma? I'm not taking any chances with you!"
"Chat, I am not wearing this thing everywhere I go."
"Why not? You're a designer, right? I bet you anything with a little work, it'll be the next best trend!"
"Chat, no."
