Hello readers! I am back! I know I have been gone for a long long time. But I am ready to be writing again! So here ya guys go, let me know what you think :)

Lindsey walked into the Hale house as Derek pulled the door open and placed a hand on her back as she passed inside, Scott following behind. The three had just returned from the video store where the Alpha had attacked. Lindsey ran a hand through her dark hair as she thought through the night events the Alpha's attacks were erratic and random. Perhaps he was just trying to rack up a body count, but that was risky, especially with the Argents back in town. Being this bold with a house full of hunters looking for him meant the Alpha probably had an agenda, known only to him. Save for the part where he was trying to get Scott into his pack.

"I have a life you know," Scott said as he stopped at the bottom of the stairs, watching as Derek and Lindsey walked up to them.

"No, you don't," Derek replied simply, causing Lindsey to stop and turn towards him.

"Yes, I do," Scott said forcefully staring at Derek, and then at Lindsey, "I-I have homework! I don't care what you two say about him making me his..pet or-"

"Part of his pack," Lindsey answered, leaning against the banister, "he wants to make you part of his pack."

"Whatever," Scott said, flapping his arms, "I have to go to a parent-teacher conference because I'm failing chemistry!"

"You wanna do homework?" Derek questioned, clearly unphased by Scott's small outburst, "or do you wanna, not die?"

The young boy let out an exasperated sigh and tilted his head back with a groan before looking back at Derek and Lindsey, "those can't be my only options."

"You have less than a week until the full moon," Derek said forcefully leaning closer to Scott, "you don't kill with him, he kills you."

A look of annoyance and worry crossed over Scott's face, "okay, seriously, who made up these rules?"

"It's a right of passage into his pack," Derek answered quickly, taking in a breath as Scott began to go off about graduating Highschool.

"Why can't you two find him?" Scott asked taking in a breath and gesturing towards Derek and Lindsey.

"Because it's not as easy as you think," Lindsey replied gently, "his human scent could be completely different than his wolf scent. There isn't a feasible way to track him."

"You, you gotta know some tricks!" Scott exclaimed, "you're an Argent."

"I'm not." Lindsey practically growled.

"Look the bottom line is that we need your help to track him down," Derek stepped in quickly, "and you need our help, to help you control your shifts. If I can teach you to control your abilities, you can find him." Derek said firmly.

Lindsey watched at Scott let out a soft breath, and glanced at the ground than at the wall a few times before looking at Derek, "so if I help you, you can stop him?"

"Not alone," Derek said simply, "we're stronger in numbers, a pack makes the individual more powerful."

"H-how am I suppose to help when I have no idea what I'm doing?" Scott asked urgently, staring at Derek and Lindsey with wide eyes.

"Because we are going to teach you," Derek replied, annoyance growing in his voice, "remember what happened the first night you were shot?"

"Yeah..." Scott nodded slowly, "I changed back."

"Mhm," Derek nodded stepping down from the stairs to stand in front of Scott, "and when you were hit by his car same thing right?"

"Yes…" Scott nodded taking a small step back.

"What's the common denominator?" Derek asked as Scott stared at him in confusion. Taking in a breath Lindsey watched as Derek grabbed Scott's hand and squeezed it, hearing the knuckles crack as Scott dropped to one knee.

"What the hell…!" Scott groaned, holding his hand as Derek let go, "that hurt!"

"That's the point," Lindsey said watching Scott, "pain keeps you human." She watched as Scott's hand began to heal itself and he glared at Derek.

"Maybe you will survive," Derek said with a shrug, turning and walking up the stairs again, sliding a hand onto Lindsey's back pulling her up the stairs with him.

"You could be gentler with him," Lindsey said as she watched Scott walk away from the house from the window upstairs.

"He needs to learn," Derek replied pulling off his leather jacket and tossing it onto a chair, "or else he won't survive."

"There are ways to teach him that involve less bone breaking." Lindsey pointed out, turning away from the window and shrugging off her jacket.

"If you have any other ideas, I'm all ears," Derek said sitting back on the bed.

Lindsey turned to Derek with a laugh, "please, trying to sway you from a course is like clawing through concrete."

"Well you have my attention now," Derek chuckled as Lindsey climbed onto the bed and straddled him slowly.

Lindsey grinned in amusement, "oh, I do?" Wrapping her arms around Derek's neck.

"Mhm," Derek nodded, leaning forward to press his lips against Lindseys.

"You're complete…" Lindsey whispered against the kiss deepening it slowly, "and full…attention?"

"Yes…" Derek breathed out heavily.

Lindsey smirked softly and pulled away from the kiss, "then be gentler with him." She placed a hand on the side of Derek's cheek, "he's just a kid, who is confused and scared. Deal?" Lindsey smiled softly, brushing his lips against Dereks again.

Derek's lips turned upward slightly, "deal…" He whispered before pressing his lips to Lindseys in a heated kiss.

XXX

"I'm going for a run," Lindsey called as she pulled a grey hoodie over her black tank top, hopping down the stairs in black leggings and tennis shoes.

"Where?" Derek asked, doing push-ups in the living room. Lindsey stopped from turning around the corner of the hallway, heading towards the back.

"In the woods," Lindsey said with a soft laugh, "where else?"

"Just…checking…" Derek replied, his breath heavy and quick. Lindsey smiled softly before walking towards the back of the house, she was about to step out into the hallway when goosebumps covered her skin, and a shiver went down her spine as a scent flooded her nose. A sharp breath left her as she turned around just to be jerked back behind a wall by Derek.

Lindsey held in a shaky breath as she listened to the people approaching, tucked tightly against the wall, Derek's arm wrapped firmly around her waist. She could feel Derek's heartbeat spike as they came into the house. They didn't seem to care about being quiet.

"Maybe he's not here." One of them said, glancing into the living room as he gripped his rifle tighter

"Maybe he's outback," another one snickered, Lindsey could smell the arrogance on him, "burying a bone."

Kate groaned in annoyance, looking over at the man, "really? A dog joke, and that's the best you got?"

Lindsey grimaced at the voice, focusing on keeping her breath even as Kate spoke up again, she felt Derek tense from behind her, the sharp and hot smell of anger flooded over Lindsey as she felt Derek's grip tighten around her waist.

"How about…it's too bad his sister bit it before she could have her first litter." Kate walked towards the living room, smirking as she turned in a circle, admiring what was left of the hale house. If she closed her eyes for a moment she could still hear the crackling of the fire, the smell of smoke, and the cries of those trapped inside.

Kate's smirk widened as she looked around the desolate living room, her eyes settling on the shoe prints in the dirt. He was here.

Derek let out a low growl, and Lindsey could feel his heart speed up, and the claws pressing against her arm.

"Derek," Lindsey whispered softly turning towards him to grab onto his arm, looking up at him, "don't…don't do it."

Although Derek wasn't listening, he wasn't even looking at Lindsey, his gaze locked on the wall that stood between them and the living room. Lindsey could see the anger he was trying so hard to repress, it was bubbling to the surface, and she had a sickening feeling it wouldn't stay suppressed long.

Lindsey grabbed onto Derek's shoulder quickly, and holding onto him tightly while placing a hand on the back of his neck, turning his head to look at her, "Derek…" She said softly, "look at me. Look. At. Me…" She stared into his hazel green eyes and did her best to steady her breathing, trying to calm herself and more importantly him. She could feel Derek relax slowly as he stared at her, their gazes interlocked, and Lindsey felt some relief until Kate spoke again.

"Too bad, she howled like a bitch," Kate said from where she was standing, "WHEN WE CUT HER IN HALF!" She yelled.

Derek let out a roar, ripping away from Lindsey's grip and turning towards the right side of the stairs. He threw the smaller hunter into the far wall before jumping onto a sideboard cabinet, roaring at the other hunter before leaping at him. Derek's claws dug into the man's chest before the hunter could even raise his weapon.

Inching towards the edge of the wall she was hiding behind, Lindsey peered down the hallway. Her eyes landed on Derek, his eyes fixed on Kate, filled with rage. His teeth were bared and Lindsey could see his canines as he let out a low and dangerous growl before lunging at Kate.

Kate grinned in amusement as Derek tried to attack her, without a flinch she flicked out her electric baton, Lindsey could hear the crack of it from where she stood, and her breath caught in her throat as she heard the zap of it when it connected to Derek's skin, and then the loud thud as he dropped to the floor.

"Well," Kate laughed walking around Derek slowly as he laid on the ground, his body convulsing from the electricity, "this one grew up in all the right places. I, I don't know where to kill it, or lick it." She laughed again.

Lindsey shut her eyes as the sounds of Derek's groans hit her ears. She heard the groans of pain turn into those of anger, as she assumed Derek once again charged at Kate, and then from the sounds of zapping and Derek's sharp groans of pain, she knew it hadn't gone as planned.

Her jaw clenched as Lindsey held in a growl, digging her claws into the wall behind her as she heard the pained noises of her mate. She leaned her head back against the wall as she heard the zapping of electricity again, this time it was longer and Derek began to scream outright.

As soon as Derek's screams began Lindsey pushed herself off the wall, letting out a loud growl as she turned and charged into the room, not flinching as she ran at Kate. In surprise Kate stumbled to the ground, gasping in surprise as she turned onto her back quickly.

Lindsey let out another growl as she stood between Kate and Derek, baring her teeth as her eyes flashed green. She focused on her anger as she stared at Kate, trying to dull the feeling of fear sparking in her stomach.

Kate stared at Lindsey, her eyes wide in shock, frozen for a few moments before the familiar smirk grew onto her lips and she sighed softly sitting up, "well, well, well," Kate smiled, "I guess I should have known you wouldn't be far off."

"Get out of the way little sis," Kate said as she stood, turning on her baton again, "you really wanna do this again?"

Lindsey growled at Kate, "don't touch him."

Kate laughed, "what are you gonna do about it? Mmm, you gonna run?" She mocked Lindsey in a sad voice.

"Leave, Kate," Lindsey demanded, holding her ground, making sure to block Derek from Kate's view.

"Well…" Kate tilted her head to the side clicking her tongue, "I can't do that."

Without a warning Kate swung her baton at Lindsey who ducked quickly and turned, rising back up and grabbing the back of Kate's hand and slammed her fist down into the center of her forearm, tossing Kate to the ground.

Kate pushed a laugh from her throat as she rolled onto her stomach, slowly pushing herself up from the ground, "well you're not a kid anymore." She grabbed for the baton and stood up brushing herself off, "I have to say I am kinda impressed. But you're gonna have to do a lot better than that." Kate swung at Lindsey again but ducked down before Lindsey could grab her and slammed the baton into her lower back.

Lindsey dropped to the floor as her body convulsed violently from the shocks running through her.

Derek pushed himself up onto an old sofa bearing his teeth before lunging at Kate although didn't get very far before Kate zapped him again.

Lindsey took in heavy breaths, looking over at Derek convulsing beside her, she stared at him for a few moments, fear growing in her eyes as she heard Kate stalk closer. Pushing herself up onto her arms she turned quickly and slammed her foot into Kate's shin, knocking her off balance. Lindsey slammed her other foot into Kate's shoulder knocking her away.

"Come on," Derek groaned, lifting himself up and pushing Lindsey forward as they both crawled on the floor towards the entrance of the living room. Lindsey pushed herself forward with every ounce of strength she had left, breathing heavily as she and Derek finally made it to an old door Lindsey leaned against it heavily, grabbing onto Derek's arm to pull him closer.

"You were never good with electricity, were you, Derek," Kate said as she stood, seemingly unphased as she brushed the dirt off herself, "or fire." She mused walking closer to Derek and Lindsey as they propped themselves up against the door, Derek placing an arm over Lindsey's torso.

"And you," Kate continued letting her gaze drift over to Lindsey, "I'm honestly surprised you're still alive. You were a useless hunter," she laughed softly, "I'd imagined you'd be just as useless as a werewolf. But I have to admit," she held up her hand Lindsey had hit, "you pack quite a punch." Kate fell silent as she stared at her younger sister, well what used to be her younger sister, "you know…" She said again but this time her voice was softer, kind almost, "there were times when I kinda regretted trying to stick a bullet in your head." She tilted her head to the side, staring at Lindsey who glared back at her.

"But then," Kate laughed again, her voice changing to one of amusement and glee as a smirk appeared on her lips, "I'm just pissed off that I missed."

Lindsey felt her chest tighten at Kate's words. She didn't know why, she shouldn't have paid any mind to anything Kate said, and she surely shouldn't have cared. She spent the better years of her teens trying to convince herself that it didn't matter what her family thought of her, they weren't her family anymore.

Derek let out a low growl as Kate stepped closer, sitting on the frame of a ruined sofa.

"I'm gonna let you in on a little secret," Kate said smoothly, looking at Derek, "yes, your sister was severed into pieces, and used as bait to try and catch you. Unpleasant, and frankly," Kate looked at the baton, "it was all a little too Texas Chainsaw Massacre for my taste, but very true." She took in a breath, "now, here is the part that might really kick you in your balls," she stared directly at Derek, "we didn't kill her."

Derek clenched his jaw and stared at Kate, his glare unwavering.

"You think I'm lying?" Kate asked in what seemed to be a surprised tone.

"Wouldn't be the first time…" Derek pushed the words from his mouth as he tried to stop his voice from shaking.

"Oh," Kate frowned, "sweety. Well," she stood up and walked over to Derek and Lindsey, kneeling in front of Derek as Lindsey grabbed his hand tightly, "why don't you listen to my heart and tell me if I'm lying, hm?" She looked at Derek before leaning closer, "we, didn't…" she leaned closer, "kill, your…sister." She was nearly inches away from Derek now and he stared at her, his expression filled with anger.

Lindsey couldn't help but grimace as she listened to Kate's heart, she was telling the truth.

Kate stood up, seemingly pleased with herself at Derek's reaction, "we found bite marks on your sister's body, Derek. What do you think did that, a Mountain Lion?" She laughed shortly before pushing her baton away, "you might as well admit what you have been guessing all along, which is. The Alpha killed your sister." Kate said simply with a shrug, "so why aren't we helping each other out? Just tell me who he is, and we'll take care of the rest."

Lindsey took in a long breath as she avoided Kate's gaze, and Derek did as well, staring down at the ground, his breath coming in and out in short hot spurts.

Kate paused as she looked at the two wolves, neither of them answering her, neither of them looking at her, "unless…" She said slowly, an amused smile creeping onto her lips, "you two don't know who he is either…" She chuckled softly, "well, guess who just became totally useless?" Kate asked with a smirk before turning around.

Derek grabbed Lindsey's hand as they pushed off the door and ran out of the room, and out of the house, off the porch, and into the woods. The pair didn't stop running until they were safely a ways away from the house.

When the two finally stopped Derek turned away from Lindsey taking a few steps forward.

Lindsey leaned against a tree to catch her breath, she looked back from where they came, no sounds of anyone following them. They were safe for now.

"Derek…" Lindsey said softly, walking towards Derek. She stopped when he turned towards her. He had an expression on his face that Lindsey didn't see much. It made her heartache. The expression of fear and pain that spread over Derek's face made him seem like a young boy again. The boy she ran away with after she was bitten and his family was burned.

Lindsey stepped towards Derek quickly wrapping her arms around his shoulders tightly. She buried her face in his neck as she felt Derek's arms wrap around her waist, pulling her as close to him as possible. Lindsey closed her eyes for a few moments, waiting as Derek's breath slowed to a steady pattern, and didn't break away until she felt Derek's grip around her loosen.

"Come on," Derek said softly, "We need to find a place to lay low until Kate leaves."

Lindsey stood outside the room as Derek spoke to his uncle. Although Peter never responded, just staring off at a wall, never responding, never moving. Still, Derek visited, talked to him, tried to get through to him. Although it never worked.

Eventually, Derek stomped out of the room, from his mood and the scent of anger surrounding him, Lindsey knew the conversation went as it always had.

Letting out a long breath, Lindsey followed Derek out of the building.

"We can do it on our own." She said as she and Derek walked out the doors, "with Scott's help we can. Don't worry Derek."

"We still have to find him," Derek replied grumpily, "and Scott isn't all that cooperative…" Derek paused as he picked up a folded piece of paper from the window of the car and opened it.

"Der?" Lindsey asked, looking up at him as she opened the car door, "what is it?"

"Get in the car," Derek replied darkly, shoving the piece of paper into his pocket before getting into the driver's seat and slamming the door shut.

"Derek," Lindsey said quickly, as Derek swerved out of the parking lot heading to the main part of town, "what was on that piece of paper?" She asked and looked over at Derek who kept his eyes trained on the road.

"A clue," was all Derek said before falling silent, his hands tightening on the steering wheel.

Soon enough Lindsey had found herself sitting in the car in front of the veterinary clinic. She sat in the car, watching the entrance. Derek had insisted on going in alone, and not having given Lindsey any time to argue before getting out of the car and going inside.

Lindsey had stayed in the car reluctantly until she heard a loud crash coming from the building. She jumped out of the car and rushed into the clinic, she ran through the open and into the pack, skidding to a halt as she saw Derek tying up an unconscious man.

"Derek…" Lindsey breathed out in disbelief as he looked back at her, "what the hell did you do?"

Lindsey stood in the corner as she watched Derek and Scott argue. They had been going on for about half an hour trying to decide on what to do with Deaton. Derek was convinced the veterinarian was in fact the alpha, the paper he found on the window of his car leading him to and convincing him of that conclusion. Scott had shown up a few moments after Lindsey had entered and stopped Derek from hurting the vet, even more, standing his ground against Derek, claiming that his boss couldn't be the Alpha.

"Do you have a plan?" Derek asked, pacing towards Scott as the young wolf tended to the vet's wounds.

"I'm thinking…" Scott said, glancing at Derek. Lindsey could smell the anxiety on him. He wasn't sure what to do. Although Lindsey watched as he suddenly perked up with an idea.

"Meet me at the school," Scott said quickly, looking at Derek and then Lindsey, "take him with you, but don't hurt him anymore." He growled softly, giving Derek a look.

Derek rolled his eyes as Scott left before he and Lindsey loaded the unconscious Deaton into the back of the car.

Once they met Scott and Stiles at the school things escalated quickly. But the only thing Lindsey thought about at the moment as ice-cold fear shot through her body, was the blood spurting from Derek's mouth. She stared up in horror, and let out a painful scream as the alpha plunged its claw through Derek's chest. Then her second thought seemed to flip an instinct in her head.

The boys.

Without thinking she turned and pushed Stiles and Scott towards the school.

"GO, GO!" Lindsey yelled, urging them to move faster as the Alpha tossed Derek through the air and got down on all fours. As the three burst into the school Lindsey turned around and grabbed onto the door handles tightly. She panted heavily trying to focus her energy, trying to calm herself. But she couldn't.

Everything in her body felt like it was burning, her hands tightened on the handles of the doors until she dented them. She heard mumbles from Stiles and Scott, but her mind couldn't focus. Her mind was running rapidly, from Derek to the alpha, to the school...Lindsey closed her eyes and let out a painful grunt as her system began to overload. She couldn't focus, her breathing became more rapid and she felt her throat begin to close but then something pulled her back.

"Lindsey!" Scott yelled sharply at her, his breathing ragged and sharp.

Lindsey snapped back to reality as Scott yelled at her. She looked over to the teenage boy, her eyes wide.

"What do we do?!" Scott exclaimed his eyes just as wide as Lindsey's. A wave of nausea hit Lindsey as the feelings of panic and fear coming from the boys radiated towards her.

Lindsey stared at the boys, she could hear Scott speaking faintly before quickly turning around, "We-we need something to lock the doors."

"Like what?" Scott asked in exasperation, "we don't have the keys!"

Lindsey glanced around quickly, trying to find anything that could hold the doors shut, but the chain that held the doors before was broken. A soft curse left her lips as she turned back towards the boys, although before she could say anything, Stile had opened one of the doors and bolted out.

"Stiles!" Lindsey let out a hiss between her teeth and reached to grab the boy's jacket, but he got out the door before she could.

"What is he doing?" Scott asked, shooting up from the floor and looking out the small windows on the door. Lindsey did the same, her eyes on Stiles before they drifted around the parking lot, before snapping back to Stiles as he glanced around softly before slowly leaning down and picking up the bolt cutters at the bottom of the stairs.

Lindsey could smell the fear coming off the boy, and it made her stomach ache, then came another scent, strong, and Lindsey's head began to spin. Hate. Pure hate. Immediately Lindsey's eyes drifted from Stiles to his jeep. That is when she saw the eyes. The glowing red eyes of the alpha. A knot formed in her stomach as she watched the Alpha lock eyes with her before looking towards Stiles and growling.

"STILES!" Scott and Lindsey yelled in unison as they banged on the glass of the doors.

Stiles whirled around sharply as his hands gripped the bolt cutters tightly as the Alpha moved from behind the car, preparing to lunge. His eyes went wide and he whirled around again towards the school and shot towards the doors, stumbling over the steps.

Lindsey swung the door open and reached her hand out, grabbing onto Stiles's shirt as soon as he was close enough and pulled him back into the school. Lindsey flung Stiles to the floor and slammed the doors shut. She grabbed the bolt cutters from Stiles and quickly lodged them between the door handles. As she did so a howl sounded from outside, deep and loud, shaking the windows. Lindsey felt her chest tighten as the howl rattled through her bones. Her head was still buzzing but she pushed herself up from the floor and grabbed Scott and Stiles by their arms pushing them ahead of her as they ran down the hallway.

Stiles and Scott bolted into a classroom to their right, and Lindsey quickly followed them, skidding on the floor as she turned the corner and slammed the door shut. The boys immediately moved towards the teacher's desk in the room and began moving it towards the door before Stiles stopped and shook his hands in the air.

"Wait, wait," He said taking in a breath, "this isn't going to keep it out."

"I know!" Scott said in exasperation as Lindsey quickly moved to the windows and peered out of them, trying to catch a glimpse of the alpha.

"It's your boss," Stiles said sharply as he stared at Scott."

"No it isn't!" Scott replied in a panic and disbelief, shaking his head.

"Yes, it is," Stiles replied, "murdering psycho werewolf!" He said in a hushed but urgent tone.

"It can't be," Scott said firmly, once again shaking his head as he clung onto the side of the desk with his hands. No, it couldn't be Deaton. Scott wouldn't believe it, he couldn't. Deaton was normal. Just his boss. His friend. He couldn't be the alpha, he wouldn't do that to him.

"He killed Derek," Stiles replied immediately, leaning against the desk.

Lindsey felt her chest tighten again at Derek's name. She shut her eyes tightly as she attempted to catch her breath.

He's not dead...he can't be dead…

"Derek isn't dead," Scott said in exasperation.

"Blood splurted from Derek's mouth, and that thing tossed him twenty feet through the air!" Stile exclaimed, waving his hands through the air rapidly, "that doesn't qualify as a minor injury."

"He isn't dead." He repeated before looking back towards Lindsey, "right?" He asked.

Stiles turned towards Lindsey when she didn't answer, "Lindsey." He said firmly,

Lindsey took in a deep breath as she gripped onto the windowsill tightly before turning back towards the boys and ran a hand through her hair, "I...I don't know."

"You don't know?" Scott asked in a panic,

"Aren't, aren't you two like connected or something?" Stiles questioned urgently.

Lindsey let out a panicked breath as she began to pace back and forth, running a hand through his hair, "y-yes, alright...we are...but-"

"But what?" Stiles demanded quickly, stepping towards Lindsey.

Her hand clenched and Lindsey turned towards Stiles sharply, "but I can't feel anything!" She snapped, her chest rising and falling rapidly, "Alright? I cannot feel anything...my-my senses are overloaded, and I…" she grabbed her head and let out an annoyed yell before quickly turning away from the boys and leaning against the windowsill once again. Gripping onto the sill tightly, denting the metal slightly.

"So…so what do we do?" Scott asked as he cleared his throat, glancing from Stiles to Lindsey. There was silence for a few moments before Scott spoke again.

"Lindsey!" He snapped, causing the werewolf to snap back towards the two boys and let out a panicked breath.

"I...I," Lindsey swallowed, "we need to get out of here. It's only a matter of time before the Alpha gets into the school."

"We can't outrun it." Stiles said with a rapid shake of his head, "alright? That thing is, is impossible to defeat."

Scott fell silent and quickly turned around, looking all over the room before his eyes settled on the windows, "what...what if we make it to your truck?" He looked at Stiles, "We can get out of here."

Stiles looked at Scott with a surprised expression, "yes, yes!" He clapped his hands together, "that can work!" He looked at Lindsey, "That can work right?"

Lindsey let out a breath and nodded slowly, "Yeah, it-it can work. But we are going to have to be quick. Okay? You both stay close to me and-" Lindsey stopped mid-sentence and took in a breath. A screeching reached her ears, the cracking of metal pounded in her head. Her breath hitched in her throat as she looked around, searching for the source of the sound, A door breaking, or something being torn apart. She looked over at Scott and noticed that he was also on edge, looking around with caution as well.

"What…?" Stiles asked, glancing between the two werewolves slowly, "what is it?"

Not answering, Lindsey quickly turned towards the window, her eyes widening as she saw something black hurling towards the window.

"Get down!" Lindsey exclaimed in a panic and quickly grabbed both boys, and tossing them to the ground, covering their heads with her arms.

The black object came crashing through the window a few moments later, glass shattering all over the floor and all over all three of them. The black object crashed onto the floor next to them.

"What the…" Stiles groaned as he pushed himself off the ground and his eyes traveled over to the object that had been thrown through the window. His eyes widened as they settled on the battery of his jeep.

"My battery!" He exclaimed and scrambled to get up in a hurry before Lindsey and Scott pulled him back down.

"Do you want to die?" Lindsey hissed as she gripped Stiles tightly, keeping him pinned to the floor.

"He ripped the battery out of my car!" Stiles exclaimed and struggled to get up again.

"And he will rip your heart from your chest next!" Lindsey snapped and pulled Stiles onto the floor again.

"What-what are we gonna do?" Scott asked, taking in a gasping breath. Lindsey glanced around as another growl echoed throughout the school and shook the windows.

"Come on," Lindsey grunted as she stood up and pushed the boys towards the door, "we gotta go."

"Where?" Stiles demanded as they got into the hallway and started walking down the hall, "this school has windows everywhere! It is not very werewolf proof."

Lindsey glanced around rapidly, trying to focus her senses, but her head was a mess. Everything in her body was screaming, her heartbeat was pounding through her ears and ripping through her veins.

"The locker room," Scott said suddenly his eyes widening, "there are no windows down there."

Stiles clapped his friend on the shoulder, "yes, that's a good idea." He glanced back at Lindsey, "this way." He said as the two boys quickly began their trek to the locker room. By the time they got to the locker rooms all was quiet, Lindsey could no longer hear the alpha, although that was just as unsettling as being aware of where it was.

"You need to call your dad," Scott said, turning to Stiles as the two boys stood in the middle of the locker room. Lindsey walked over to the door they came into and shut it. She then went over towards the coach's office and began to look around. She wasn't even sure what she was looking for, but she couldn't hold still.

"And tell him what?" Stiles asked, staring at Scott in disbelief.

"I, I don't know. Anything, just get the cops here. If the parking lot is full of them, maybe it'll take off."

"Or," Stiles retorted quickly, "that thing will go full terminator and kill every cop in sight. Including my dad!" He exclaimed as quietly as he could.

"But the cops have guns!" Scott pushed.

"Those won't help." Lindsey said as she came out of the coach's office, "not with something like this. This alpha…" She sighed and ran a hand through her hair, "it's fueled by anger, a real monster. The cops won't be able to make a dent."

"So what are we suppose to do?" Stiles questioned, "we are stuck in a school, being stalked by a murdering psycho werewolf!"

"What about Derek's car?" Scott replied looked at Lindsey, "his car still works right?"

"It, it should," Lindsey answered with the nod of her head.

"That could work!" Stiles said with a breath of relief, "we get out of here, get the keys off of his body, yuck," he shook his head, "and take off."

"And get Derek," Lindsey and Scott said in unison. Stiles raised his eyebrows as the two glanced at one another with uncertainty before letting out a breath, "fine." He replied with a shake of his head, "that's gross. But fine."

"Okay," Lindsey nodded, "come on, We should go before that thing gets into the school."

"Good," Stiles nodded rapidly, "good plan." He turned and quickly made his way towards the door before Lindsey and Scott reached their hands out and each grabbed one of Stiles's arms, stopping him dead in his track.

"Wait…" Scott said slowly and began to pull Stiles back, "there is someone out there…"

"What-" Stiles before Lindsey wrapped a hand around his mouth.

"Be very quiet." Lindsey whispered urgently and began backing up, "we need to hide…"

Stile looked between Lindsey and Scott before tucking the flashlight he had into his coat, and darted to the right, swinging open an empty locker and climbing in.

"Stiles," Scott hissed at his best friend before glancing at the door as the noise outside of it, coming closer. He glanced at Lindsey before also darting towards one of the lockers and climbing in.

"Guys." Lindsey hissed in confusion before letting out an annoyed grunt before quickly moving to the back of the locker room and then towards the shower room and quickly turned a corner and hid behind one of the walls. She could hear the heartbeats of Scott and Stiles. Quick and desperately panicked. Not that she could blame them. She cursed in her head. These two boys didn't deserve to get dragged into this. Now she had to find a way to get all of them out alive. She had to figure out what happened to Derek.

Her head fell back against the tile wall and she shut her eyes tightly. Derek...he wasn't dead. He couldn't be. Lindsey's eyes snapped open as she heard the door to the locker room creak. A heavy breath left her chest as she heard footsteps, and then silence.

Her head snapped to the right as she heard shouts of fear and the locker doors slamming open. Stepping out to the side she quickly made her way towards Stiles and Scott in a panic before she stopped, staring at the man who stood between Scott and Stiles. From the clothing he had on, he seemed to be a janitor who was currently yelling at Scott and Stiles to get out of the locker rooms and the school.

"Who are you?!" The janitor demanded looking at Lindsey before he shook his head, "I don't care, just get out of here!" He pushed Stiles and Scott towards the door before he grabbed Lindsey by the arm and began to drag her out of the locker room. She stumbled into Scott and Stiles as the Janitor tossed them all out of the room. Although only moments later the Janitor was pulled back into the room with a scream, and a growl erupted from the room as the door slammed shut. The three of them jumped back in a panic, their eyes wide.

Scott lunged towards the door quickly, going to grab the handle before Lindsey stopped him.

"Wait," She said quickly and looked at the door, "he is already dead…"

"We, we can't leave him!" Scott exclaimed and another growl came from the room.

"We don't have a choice," Lindsey said firmly and gripped Scott's arm and pulled him away from the door while Stiles followed quickly.

Once they were in a separate hallway Scott ripped his arm from Lindsey and stopped, "you left him!" He snapped, glaring at Lindsey.

The female werewolf let out an annoyed breath and turned sharply towards Scott, "he was already dead and you know it."

"We could have saved him!" Scott countered with a firm stance, taking in a deep breath. Lindsey let out a tense breath and grabbed Scott shoving him against the wall.

"We need to save ourselves!" Lindsey snapped, holding onto Scott's shirt tightly, "do you honestly think that thing will simply let us walk out of here? Hm?" She growled.

Scott was about to answer, his lips opened before he stopped. Lindsey started at him in confusion before the sound he heard also reached her ears. The sound, of a phone ringing.

Lindsey stepped away from Scott and looked around, "what is that?"

Scott's eyes widened and his face paled in fear, "that's Allison's phone."

"Wait, wait, Allison?" Stiles demanded, stepping forward towards Scott, "Allison?"

"Yes!" Scott snapped, "Allison!" He looked around in confusion and panic.

"What the hell is she doing here?" Lindsey asked, turning slowly in a circle, trying to find out where the sound was coming from.

"Stiles give me your phone," Scott demanded, his hands already reaching out to his friend. Stiles quickly pulled his phone from his pocket and clumsily handed it to Scott. In a flash, Scott had dialed Allison's number and put the phone to his ear.

"Hello?"

"Allison!" Scott exclaimed softly, "it's me."

"Scott?" Allison's voice asked in surprise through the phone.

"Where are you?" Scott demanded and began to pace.

"What?"

"Where are you right now?!" Scott demanded again, fear and impatience growing in his voice.

"I'm at the pool...what's wrong?"

"Meet me in the gym." Scott ordered, "okay? Go now." He hung up the phone and without saying anything to the others he immediately began to make his way down the hall.

"Scott," Stiles said and watched him leaving before he glanced at Lindsey.

"Come on." Lindsey let out a breath and grabbed Stiles's arm as the two ran after Scott.

"What the hell is Allison doing here?" Stiles asked Lindsey as they followed Scott throughout the school.

"I don't know," Lindsey replied and shook her head quickly, "but it won't be good."

Eventually, the three arrived in the hallway near the gym, Scott was looking around in a panic for Allison who came speeding down a separate hallway a few moments later.

"Scott!" She exclaimed, catching his attention. The teenager turned quickly and let out a relieved breath before heading towards Allison. He hugged her tightly before pulling away.

"What are you doing here?" He demanded. Allison gave him an odd look.

"What do you mean?" Allison asked, with a confused laugh and pushed some curly black hair away from her face.

Lindsey stood back near the wall as he watched Scott and Allison converse in confusion and somewhat panic. Lindsey could not help but stare at Allison. The niece she knew nothing about, and who knew nothing about her.

"If you didn't send this text then who did?" Allison asked in confusion.

"I, I don't know," Scott shook his head, "how did you get here?" He asked urgently.

"Jackson drove," Allison responded quickly, "Scott-"

"Wait, Jackson is here?" Stiles asked stepping closer to Allison and Scott.

"Yes," Allison nodded, "and Lydia. What is going on?" She demanded again before looking at Scott and Stiles before her eyes wandered over to Lindsey. Confusion flashing across them

Lindsey took in a breath and slowly looking away from Allison who continued to stare at her before all of them looked behind them towards two double doors as Lydia and Jackson burst through them.

"Ah, there you are." Lydia said with a dramatic breath, her eyes glancing around quickly, "can we go now?"

Lindsey straightened up suddenly as she felt the hair on the back of her neck stand up. Goosebumps littered her skin as she felt an uneasy sensation grow in her stomach. Lindsey looked around quickly before her eyes landed back on the group of teenagers.

"We gotta go," She announced loudly, causing the group of kids to look at her.

"Who the hell are you?" Jackson demanded, looking at Lindsey skeptically. Although before either she or Scott could answer the ceiling creaked.

Lindsey's eyes wandered to the ceiling, it bent slowly, in one place and then another. Like footsteps and Lindsey's stomach dropped.

"What, what is that?" Allison asked as she inched towards Scott, lacing her fingers with his.

"We need to run," Scott said with a breath as his eyes stayed trained on the ceiling, "come on. RUN!" Scott yelled grabbing Allison's hand tightly and began to pull her up the stairs. The others followed in a quick panic, Jackson grabbing Lydia's hand and pulling her away quickly. Stiles stumbled back as he stared at the ceiling, and Lindsey grabbed his shirt and drug him away from it just before the ceiling came crashing down, the Alpha letting out a roar as it crashed onto the floor and immediately went after the group. The group ran as quickly as they could, Scott at the front and then Lindsey at the back.

From that point on everything was a panicked blur. From blocking off the classroom in hopes of being safe, to getting into the chemistry classroom and Scott leaving to find the janitor's keys. Then the rattling howl of the Alpha shook Lindsey to her core, she could feel her ribs rattling in her chest. Then she felt the shift, the shift in Scott.

Now Lindsey stood outside of the school, watching as the cops went in and out of the school searching, talking to each of the kids, trying to get an idea of what happened. One thing she did know was that they assumed the person that attacked them in the school was Derek. Lindsey had to compel to the same story once an officer came over to her to take her statement. As much as she hated to blame her mate for what had happened, no one would believe her if she said something different.

It also didn't help that Derek's body was nowhere to be found. Although it was a relief to Lindsey, hoping that he got up and walked away himself. She glanced over at Stiles and Scott who were in deep conversation before a soft breath left her lips and she grabbed her coat off the cop car and pulled it on as she began to head out.

As she passed by an ambulance an arm pulled her behind it. Lindsey let out a gasp and jolted away from the person that had grabbed her, although they kept a firm grip on her arm.

"Don't struggle." Chris hissed as he hung onto Lindsey's arm like iron.

Lindsey's eyes widened as they connected with Chris's, "what the hell are you doing?" She snapped and once again tried to pull her arm away from her brother. Although he only glared at her.

"I believe I could ask you the same question." Chris replied with a threatening tone, "what the hell were you doing in the school? And what happened?!"

Lindsey growled and finally ripped her arm away from Chris's grasp, "why should I tell you, huh? To give you an excuse to put a bullet in my head?" Lindsey lifted her finger and pressed it against her temple.

"So we are both on the same page. I want to know what happened." Chris replied firmly, staring at Lindsey, not blinking.

"What the hell do you think happened?" Lindsey hissed, "the Alpha attacked." She glanced around to make sure they were really alone, "is Kate with you?" She asked, crossing her arms over her chest.

Chris gave Lindsey a look, "if she was do you think you would still be standing?" He looked at Lindsey, glancing over her suspiciously, "so it wasn't Derek?" He asked.

"Of course it wasn't." Lindsey scoffed, "Derek doesn't go around traumatizing teenage children."

"So why were you at the school?" Chris replied, not responding to Lindsey's last comment.

Lindsey took in a breath and glanced away from Chris before slowly looking back at him. She didn't know why he was standing here talking to her when she knew he would much prefer hunting her with a crossbow. She could feel the conflict radiating off him. Speaking with her like this, being civil.

"Derek and I tracked the Alpha to the school," Lindsey replied with a breath, "Derek and I have been trying to track him down and kill him for weeks. We tracked him here, and then he put his claw through Derek's chest," Lindsey moved closer to Chris, "and tossed him twenty feet through the air." She swallowed and stared Chris in the eyes, "then I ran into the school and found the two teenage idiots that had broken in. I did my best to try and get them out, but then the other three showed up." She took another step closer to Chris, only a few inches from his face, "you wanna know what I was doing in the school? I was the only thing standing between that thing and those kids. Your kid." She pushed Chris away, "So back off."

Chris stared at Lindsey before slowly taking a step back from Lindsey, "fine." He said gently, "but Lindsey." He said before she could walk away, "if I find you and Derek in the woods again...I won't be so lenient."

Lindsey stared at Chris and set her jaw tightly before quickly walking away towards the edge of the school and then into the woods.

Once she was out of sight Lindsey broke into a run and then a sprint heading quickly through the forest towards the Hale house. That was the only place she could think of Derek being, the only place he could go back to. When she got out of the school his car was no longer in the parking lot which meant he had to be alive.

Lindsey let out a sharp gasp as she was pulled from her thoughts by an arm wrapping around her waist, and pulling her from her sprint. The wind rushed past her as her body was yanked backward before her back slammed into something firm. Lindsey let out a grunt as she struggled against the grip of the person holding her. Her elbow connected to what she assumed to be the person's rib cage and a low grunt fell on her ears before she finally pulled away. Her eyes turned a bright green and her claws leached from her fingers as she turned quickly back towards the person that grabbed her. Her claw was raised to be brought down with a quick flash, although another claw caught her wrist firmly. Lindsey opened her mouth to let out a growl before her eyes connected with glowing blue ones.

Lindsey's breath left her body in relief, "Derek…" She quickly wrapped her arms around her mate's shoulders and hugged him tightly.

Derek returned the hug firmly, his arms wrapping around Lindsey's waist and his hands gripping onto her jacket tightly.

"Oh thank god," Lindsey took in a breath and before pulling away and quickly taking Dereks face in her hands, "you're alive." She stepped back and placed a hand on his chest, looking for where the Alpha had stuck its claw through his chest.

"It's healing," Derek said softly, grabbing Lindsey's hand gently, "just, slowly. Although," he grunted, "you elbowing me in the ribs didn't help."

"Sorry," Lindsey apologized with a gentle breath, placing a hand on Derek's cheek again, staring at him.

"Are you okay?" Derek asked quietly, moving his hand to Lindsey's neck and looking her over, "what happened?"

"The Alpha…" Lindsey swallowed, "it chased us throughout the school…" She quickly relayed all the information she could to Derek about the night's events.

"So Scott and Stiles told everyone it was me in the school?" Derek asked in astonishment while he paced back and forth.

"They had to say something," Lindsey replied quickly, "and we couldn't exactly tell the cops that it was a monster with claws and fangs."

"What about the Argents?" Derek stopped pacing and turned towards Lindsey, "you said Allison was in the school."

Lindsey nodded slowly and swallowed, "they know it was the Alpha. They aren't stupid." She explained, although elected to not tell Derek about her 'meeting' with Chris.

"Damnit…" Derek let out a breath, clenching his hands into fists, "this is going to make finding the alpha ten times harder…"

"But first you need to rest," Lindsey said urgently, her eyes drifting to Derek's chest, a small spot of blood beginning to soak through his shirt, "you're still bleeding." She stepped over to him and placed a hand on his shirt.

Derek looked at Lindsey's hand, "it's getting better." He assured him, "the wound from an Alpha will take longer to heal…"

"We can't go back to the house," Lindsey said quickly before Derek would suggest it, "it will be one of the first places the cops will look for you, and the hunters."

Derek let out an annoyed breath, "great. Just another thing we need to run from."

"Hey," Lindsey said gently, placing her hand under Derek's chin and gently turning his face to look at hers, "it'll be okay." She smiled faintly, "we've survived this long."

Derek placed a hand on Lindsey's cheek and leaned forward, pressing his lips to her gently, "We should get to the car." He grabbed her hand, "come on."
