Hey guys! Virtual cookies! (::) (::) So, anyways, in the last chapter, if you're wondering what "calle" meant, well... Whoops! it's a typo, it's actually meant to say "called". Okay btw, I don't own She-Ra neither do I own a giant First-Ones sword.
Warnings: Creepy lady (a.k.a Shadow Weaver), and a very awkward Hordak
The Sword Part 1 and Part 2 S. 1 Ep. 1-2
Adora tied her hair. She pulled up her boots, and took some punches on her punching back before heading towards the training arena. She was excited to train as a Horde Cadet, but couldn't show her happiness; she didn't want to be misleading. After all, It's been twelve years since she was little. She was nineteen years old now. And she didn't see Catra anywhere. Typical Catra; she thought. Always showing up late just to show off her "skills" Either way, it was time to practice. Just being slightly overprotective, she asked one of her cadet-mates or whatever, "Where's Catra?" She asked. Lonnie looked up. "Uhh" She shrugged. Oh well. Looks like Catra would just be late again. The arena doors opened and they all piled in.
Adora scanned her surroundings, and almost immediately, a few bots started to attack them. "Everyone, this way!" Adora shouted. They all followed her, including the bots. Adora didn't dare look back, until she heard a fizz. All three of them turned around, Adora, Lonnie and Rogelio. They saw Kyle lying down on the floor seemingly unconscious. He woke up and sat down on the floor. A small X appeared on his chest-plate like armour. "Oh, come on Kyle!" Lonnie shouted. Kyle groaned. A few bots surrounded them. "OH, COME ON, KYLE!" Lonnie yelled, as they ran away. Adora took out her staff and knocked out some bots. She slid into a bigger room, not noticing it.
A big bot appeared out of nowhere and shot towards Adora. She quickly jumped out of reach. "Adora, look out!" Lonnie cried. Adora looked below her seeing the floor was flashing red. She jumped off as it descended below. Realizing that the floor under her was wobbly as well, she ran off. It fell down as well. Adora jumped onto the bot and started to climb. She took out her staff once again, and blasted its' glass eye. The bot staggered forward. The robot screamed weirdly and dove for Adora. She jumped off the bot and stabbed another eye. The bot powered off, and collapsed. A cat-like figure jumped into the arena and pushed the bot away.
It was Catra. She looked at Adora and pointed her finger to the ground. Adora looked at it while it turned red, and disappeared. "Ahh!" Adora screamed, as she fell down. She used her staff to keep herself balanced. Catra peeked over. "Hey Adora," She said. "How's it hanging?" Adora sighed. "Why do you always come at the last minute?" Catra laughed. "Whatever. Come on, you look stupid hanging down there!" Adora laughed. Catra extended her hand, and pulled up Adora.
.xX I don't know how to make line-breakers, so this will do Xx.
Adora put her sweater back on. Catra jumped out of nowhere, and went "HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA" Adora turned around. Catra continued "Your face! You were like, 'AHHH, NOOOOOO! Betrayal...'" Catra slid down to the floor keeping her act. Adora sighed. "Catra. we're Senior Cadets now, you can't always mess around, and- IS THAT A MOUSE?!" Adora screamed. Catra's tail fizzed up and she stood up quickly. "WHERE" She said. Adora broke into laughter. "When will you not fall for that?" She asked. Catra pouted. "I don't know, WHEN WILL YOU LET IT GO?! It was only once!" Adora continued to laugh. Catra let a smile poke through her mouth. "I dunno, it's just always so funny!"
Through the darkness, Shadow Weaver watched Adora and Catra. She thought for a moment, maybe waiting for Catra to leave, but she had power. Shadow Weaver floated out. "Adooooooooora..." She whispered creepily. "Great timing, on your training" Adora looked at Catra. "Well, Shadow Weaver... uhh ma'am! Catra also participated!" Catra smiled weakly, surprised that Adora was favouring her. Shadow Weaver smirked. "Someone as insolent as her, I'll never know," Catra was upset on the inside, but in the Fright Zone, they don't tolerate weakness. "Always serving up thoses pep talks, eh, Shadow Weaver?" Catra shot back.
"SILENCE!" Shadow Weaver hissed. A shadow surrounded Catra; just like the one the had 12 years ago, when they snuck into Shadow Weaver's chamber. "DO NOT BE FLIPPANT WITH ME, CADET,". Catra had no respect shown for Shadow Weaver, but to escape her anger,... "S-sorry Shadow Weaver" She squeaked out. Shadow Weaver calmed down, the spirits of her shadows falling to the ground. "Walk with me, Adora." Shadow Weaver said. Adora looked at Catra. In return she shrugged. Adora let out a breath and scurried after Shadow Weaver.
"Lord Hordak has been watching you," Shadow Weaver said. "He thinks you would be a good Force Captain." Adora couldn't believe her ears. "Lord Hordak thinks that way-y?" She asked. Shadow Weaver nodded, and then paused. She turned to Adora and and swirled her hands around each other. She produced a small badge. It was a small pin with the Horde symbol- Two dragon wings with a diamond shape in the middle-. Adora took it from Shadow Weaver's hand. "Wow.." She mustered. Shadow Weaver smiled a slight bit. "And tomorrow, we'll be launching an attack on Thaymor." Adora grinned. "I can't wait to tell Catra and the others! Catra always wanted to attack a city-" Shadow Weaver interrupted Adora. "No, no. The others will not be coming." Adora was shook. "What? But Catra's time was as good as mine!" Shadow Weaver pointed out a finger to a window. "Look. This is what I raised you for. To make Hordak proud... these are some of the small sacrifices you need to make,".
.xX -Xx.
Adora stared at her pin on the balcony, and sighed happily. "Hey, what's that!" Catra asked out of nowhere. She grabbed Adora's badge. "Ooh.. it's shiny!" Adora smiled. "Oh, that? It's nothing I just got promoted-" Catra laughed. "You call this 'small'? That's so cool!" Adora decided to break the news down 'slowly'. "And.. I'm going to be attacking Thaymor tomorrow..." Catra's eyes lit up. "Really?! This, this has been my dream!" Catra looked at Adora. "Adora, I need to blow something up," Adora's smile faded. Catra was so excited. How could she tell her without Catra being disappointed? "Well..." Adora started. "You won't be coming.." Catra's brain processed. "WHAT?! My time was as good as yours!" She glared at Adora. "Well, it's obvious. You get what you want, I wonder what it's like to be a PEOPLE PLEASER like you." She jumped on a pipe, and ran up to the highest balcony, beside the metal roof. "Uh! I am not a people pleaser! Adora grumped. "Catra!-" She paused in mid-sentence. Adora spotted a grappling hook lying on the ground. She grinned.
Catra heard a 'thhtunk' behind her. A grappling hook head was on the roof. She heard some grunts, and Adora popped up. "Hey... look, it wasn't my decision anyways..." Adora reasoned. "And plus I didn't even know you wanted to be a Forc Captain!" Catra groaned. "Ugh, I don't! Here, take your stupid badge." Adora wobbled tryng to catch it. Catra mumbled, "I wonder what's outside the Fright Zone anyway?" Adora grinned. "Why don't we find out?" She took out a skiff key. Catra gasped.
.xX - Xx.
"I take everything back, you're totally awesome!" Catra said. "I can't believe you stole a skiff!" Adora steered the skiff around. "BORROWED. Don't make me regret this!" Adora said. Catra replied. "You won't, trust me!" Adora slowed down. "Woah..." They both said. Adora whispered; "It's the Whispering Woods... I heard everyone who went inside never came out alive.." Catra grinned. "Let's go in!" Catra pushed Adora out of the way, and took control of the steering wheel. "AUGH!" Adora screamed. Further in the woods, Catra drove faster and faster. "Catra!" Adora yelled. "Tree! TREE!" Catra drove the skiff upwards. They didn't hit the tree, but then again, Adora wasn't holding anything. She fell, screaming. Catra turned around. "Adoraaaaaaaaaaaa!"
Adora fell into a bush. "C-catra?" She moaned. She looked around. No Catra. Adora decided to walk around, trying to find her way out, but something stopped her. Namely, a giant glowy sword. Adora gasped. She walked towards it, and touched it. White light spilled everywhere. Startled, Adora pulled her hand away, but a holographic woman appeared. "Adora... Will you fight for the honour of Grayskull?" The voice echoed in her head, as she screamed.
"Adora?" Catra asked. Adora woke up, on the exact same bush. "What?" She asked. "Where's the sword? I-it was right there, and-" Catra gasped in horror. "Oh my God! Are you brain damaged?! Shadow Weaver is gonna kill me!" Adora ducked under Catra's protective arms, and folded her arms. "Catra, I'm not brain damaged!" Catra squinted at Adora. "Hmm... are you sure you're not brain damaged?"
"Yes!"
"Okay, well there's no sword, so COME ON, let's go!"
Catra grabbed Adora's ponytail, and pulled her towards the skiff. "Catra, I can't believe you crashed into a tree!"
"No I didn't! You did,"
"Totally..."
"Haha, shut up."
.xX - Xx.
It was late at night, and Catra was fast asleep, on the edge of Adora's bed. Good... Adora thought. Time to go back to the woods. Adora crept out sneakily, not knowing Catra wasn't asleep at all. As soon as Adora was out of sight, Catra's eyes burst open, and she followed Adora.
"Hey," Catra said.
"Catra?" Adora asked. "No! Don't come... go back!" Catra tilted her head. "Why not?" She asked. "where are you even-" Adora clamped her mouth shut with her hand, and dragged her behind a wall. A bot passed by them. "Plehh," Catra spat. "I hope your hands are clean!" Adora couldn't help but laugh a bit. "You know what?" Adora asked. "Fine, I'll bring you along, just stay quiet."
"Quiet." Catra repeated, and then nodded. Adora motioned for Catra to follow her, and slowly, they snuck out.
Something was glowing behind a bush. Well, Adora was pretty sure the bush wasn't glowing, because BUSHES DON'T GLOW. Duh.
Adora separated the bushes leaves, and she saw it. The sword. There it was laying on the ground sparkling, and shimmering, and being useless. "Not for long." Adora whispered with satisfaction. "Huh?" Catra said. "What do you mean; 'not for long'?" Adora muttered. "Nothing..." And then horror struck. Someone else reached for the sword, pulling it out of the grass-
"NOOO!" Adora shouted. Surprised. The pink-haired girl drops the sword. Her brow creases into a frown. "Horde." She hissed. A boy stepped from behind her, holding a bow. The pink-haired girl turns into mounds of glitter and disappears. She reappears on top of Catra, trying to strangle her. With a growl of surprise, Catra's fingers clench. Her fingertips grow sharps claws at lightning speed, and slashes away the sparkles-girl. The boy with a bow and arrow lifts his weapon up and shoots a net towards Catra.
Grinning, she leapt away with her cat-like abilities, and missed the arrow. Catra pounced onto the boy and scratched him with her claws. Adora lunged towards the sword like a maniac and she grabbed it- almost. The pink girl teleported, and hugged the sword. She and the sword disappears, leaving Adora confused. The teleporting glitches, and the girl comes tumbling down on top of her friend. The sword rolls out of her reach.
Adora took off to the sword. She suddenly stopped. "What was that...?" She asked herself. Catra's ears twitched. "I hear a low rumbling," Catra replied. The girl and the boy seemed to hear it too. All of a sudden, a ginormous bug with spikes on it's back, and millions of bulging red eyes ripped out of the bushes. Adora stared at it with fright. "S-stupid..." She muttered. "Why am I not reaching for the sword?" The girl overheard Adora, and snapped into attention, she raced towards she sword... just moments too late. Adora grabbed it. She fumbled around with it, trying to find a way how to activate the glowing 'button'. One of the bugs' sharp legs impaled into where Adora was standing. She leapt away.
Adora's hand twitched on the sword's handle. White flashes spilled into her head. Adora... Will you fight for the honour of Grayskull... Adora's eyes lit up. "For the honour of Grayskull!" She cried, and jabbed the sword into the air. A swirl of light blasted around her, turning her into the otherwise known, She-Ra.
Catra stared at Adora with her eyes wide. Her hair was growing longer, and it looked messy, but it wasn't at the same time. It was... odd. Her eyes were glowing blue, almost neon, but it wasn't at the same time. "Weird.." Catra breathed. The transformed Adora held out her sword, and impaled the bug. It had morphed into ashes, sweeping away with the careless wind in the Whispering Woods.
"What the flip flops did you do?!" Catra screamed. "You turned into a princess! NO ONE TOLD ME PRINCESSES WERE CONTAGIOUS" She-ra/Adora walked towards Catra. "I KNOW RIGHT! TURN ME BACK RIGHT NOW STUPIDOS" She yelled at the girl. She huffed. "BEING A PRINCESS ISN'T CONTAGIOUS! YOU JUST ACTIVATED THE SWORD I WAS LOOKING FOR" She yelled.
"LOOKING FOR?! I FOUND IT FIRST!" Adora yelled. "C'mon Catra, let's go" Adora grabbed Catra's arm and she pulled her away from the 'Contagious princesses'. Catra swiped her hand away from Adora. "You might turn me into a frilly princess too. DON'T HOLD MY HAND, AND DON'T TOUCH ME". (Kind like Sanna and Moody from Iamsanna. If you know what I'm talking about) Adora laughed. "I want to see YOU as a princess. You'd look so frilly and awkward" Catra glared at Adora. "Me? Awkward? I would make a better princess than YOU" Adora grinned. "So you want to be a princess?" Catra snorted.
"Of course not"
"But you said-"
"I didn't say anything"
Adora sighed. "FIIINE, whatever".
.xX -Xx.
Hordak gasped. "You snuck out?!" Adora nodded shamefully. Catra twitched. Hordak sighed. He stepped closer to Adora and took the First-Ones sword. He examined it and grinned evily. "You two are pardoned. Do you know what this sword can do?!"
"Nope" Adora quipped. "But it turned me into a frilly princess, so it might do the same to you," Catra snorted and then covered it with a very fake and loud cough. She couldn't get the picture of Hordak wearing a hot pink frilly dress out of her mind. Hordak returned the sword to Adora. "And what did you say?" He asked. Adora gulped. She did NOT want to turn into a princess AT ALL. "For the honour of Grayskull?" Adora said confused. She transformed again. Hordak gasped once more. He must gasp a lot. "You activated She-ra's sword?!" He screeched.
"She what?" Adora asked. Catra shrugged. Obviously, they BOTH don't know what a she-ra is. Hordak sighed. Huh. He sighs a lot too. "She was a legend in Etheria. Battling among the princesses, and never let us survive. We are lucky Adora is the one who can activate it. She-ra will fight for evil!- I mean... US! Yeah, She-ra will fight among the Horde instead."
Catra closed her eyes and then rolled them underneath. Hordak was not himself lately. "Anyways. You two may leave" Hordak said sternly. Adora and Catra run out of the room. "So, Adora..." Catra started. "What do you feel about battling princesses looking like a princess yourself?" Adora nudged Catra's shoulder with her elbow. "Who know? It might activate for you as well!" Catra tried picturing herself in a white frilly dress embroidered with golden outlines. "I guess... It wouldn't hurt to find out" Catra mumbled. Adora grabbed Catra's hand, forgetting the whole 'contagious princesses' deal, and the no hand holding policy. She ran into a deserted training arena and let go of Catra's arm. "Hand over the sword!" Catra said. Adora detransformed and gave Catra the giant sword. "For the honour of... Uhmm" Catra stuttered. "Grayskull..." Adora whispered. Catra tapped her chin in thought. "Right. For the honour of Grayskull?" Adora gasped in shock. Catra frowned. "What?"
Adora pointed to Catra's outfit. She actually transformed. Catra gasped. "I thought only you could?" All of a sudden, the sword started glowing.
"ERROR. ERROR. TWO HOLDERS OF THE SWORD. ERROR". A mechanic voice announced. "What's going on?!" Catra yelled over the voice. Adora shrugged.
"I THINK THERE ARE TWO SHE-RAS! YOU AND ME!" Adora yelled back. The voice disappeared, and the sword stopped glowing. It fell to the ground and split into two pieces. "Oh no!" Adora said. "Did it break?" Catra took one of the parts. "No, it doubled!" Catra said. "One for you and one for me, I think," Adora picked up the other part. "Should we see if they still work?" She asked Catra. Catra nodded. "For the honour of Grayskull!" They yelled in unison. Both of them transformed.
"Hey!" Adora yelled. "I think the sword can change forms! Mine just turned into a shield," Catra looked at her sword. Something convenient that looks innocent... Catra thought. The sword vanished from her hands. Catra's eyes flew open. Where did it go? She found out she was holding a vase. "Bad sword!" She yelled. She shook the vase around and her clothes changed back to normal.
"Cool," Catra breathed.
Adora smirked. "You like being a frilly princess, don't you?". Catra sighed. "No.. But a princess... On our side! We can finally defeat the evil queen!" Adora glanced at the floor like there was something Catra was missing out on. Catra raised her eyebrow. "Spill it Adora," Catra said. Adora looked at Catra in surprise. "W-what..." Adora muttered.
"C'mon Adora!" Catra urged. "I knew you since we were, like, two!". "Actually three..." Adora said. Catra rolled her eyes. "Whatever. Two, three, same thing. The point is, what's bothering you?" Adora kicked at the floor. "Nothinggggg- Wait." Catra gave Adora her most confused face. Adora smirked, and then giggled.
"WHAT?!" Catra yelled. Adora laughed. "You asked me what was bothering me... You care for me?" Catra gaped at Adora.
"IT'S NOT BECAUSE I LIKE YOU!" Catra shouted. Adora fell on the floor laughing. "Uggh, you're so stupid..." Catra muttered. Then, she smiled. Just a bit.
.xX -Xx.
Glimmer paced in circles angrily. Bow sighed. "I'm sorry you weren't able to get the sword". Glimmer looked at him and smiled. "Y'know... It's kinda funny that you're apologizing. It isn't your fault that they swooped in out of nowhere," Glimmer told him. Bow's eyes widened in shock.
"What..." Glimmer asked, confused. Bow pointed behind her with a shaking finger. Glimmer slowly turned around. And then...
"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!" Glimmer screamed. Her mother, Queen Angella stared back at her with shock, betrayal, hurt, and anger."GLIMMER!" Angella yelled. "You are supposed to be in your room! And you're out here, in the Whispering Woods, and you dragged Bow with you?!" Bow jumped up to his feet.
"Your majesty..." Bow whimpered. "I-it's not Glimmer's fault... I brought her here..." Glimmer looked at Bow and mouthed, 'I'm sorry'. She knew that it was her who snuck out of her room when she was supposed to be...
"GROUNDED" Her mother announced. Glimmer gasped. "What?!". Queen Angella shot her daughter a stern look. "That's right, young lady. You're grounded." Glimmer grinned slyly. "Well, I'm already grounded, so you can't-"
Angella sighed. "I've never thought I'd come to say this but... You aren't allowed out of the castle for five months!" Glimmer's mouth flied open. There was NO WAY her mom was doing this. But here she was. Making poor Glimmer stay at home for five months. Five! How was she supposed to survive like that?
Queen Angella grabbed Glimmer's hand, and she marched out of the forest. Before she lost sight of Bow, Glimmer turned around and she waved Bow a sad 'goodbye'. Bow didn't wave back. He must be mad... Glimmer thought. To her surprise, Bow came running after Angella, trying to make Glimmer stay.
All of a sudden, Queen Angella spread her wings and she floated away with Glimmer. Bow stared up into the sky. If Glimmer was grounded... Bow thought. Who would she play with? And also... Bow shook his head. Who will I play with?
.xX -Xx.
"Today is the day!" Adora sang. "We're going to be destroying Thaymor!" Catra sighed grumpily. "What do you mean, 'we'?" She mustered. "Only you're going... 'Cause I'm not good enough for stupid Shadow Weaver!" Adora grinned excitedly. "I meant 'we'," Adora said. Catra turned towards Adora. "I don't get it" She mumbled.
"I got Shadow Weaver to let me bring Kyle, Lonnie, Rogelio... And most importantly... YOU!" Catra jumped up. She was about to squeal, but that was for babies. I'm the most important to Adora? Catra thought with joy. Adora gave Catra a Horde helmet with full on armour. "You can get ready and meet me inside the tank" Adora said as she ran out the door. Catra buckled on her armour and grabbed her helmet. She left it in her hands and ran to Adora and the rest of the group.
"I'm so excited!" Adora said. "Are you?" Catra nodded eagerly. The tank driver slowly rolled out of the base, and soon enough, they were outside the Fright Zone, and in the Whispering Woods, at the exact place Adora and Catra were three days ago. "Did you bring your sword thingy?" Catra whispered to Adora. "Yep!" Adora whispered back. "I'm assuming you have yours, right?" Catra showed Adora her sword.
When they reached Thaymor, A group of people pointed and yelled to the others, "Horde!" A man shouted. Quickly, people began scattering everywhere, trying to escape, or finding a hiding place. Once the tank stopped moving, one by one, the cadets piled out of the vehicles, took out their weapons. Adora and Catra hid in a cave and they transformed. "Here's the plan," Adora explained. "We pretend we're good people," Catra nodded and they got out of the cave.
The attacks ended a few hours later. Thaymor was completely destroyed, and family members huddled behind broken tables, shivering. Some were crying because their family were gone, and some had fled to Bright Moon, home of Glimmer and Queen Angella. They have gone to tell the queen about the attacks of the Horde.
.xX -Xx.
"They what!" Queen Angella flared as the remaining people of Thaymor told her what has happened. Queen Angella massaged her temples. If Glimmer was there... What would have happened to her? Angella excused herself from the people, and ran towards Glimmer's room. She peeked inside to see- an empty room with no Glimmer.
