A/N: Hey guys! As promised, I am back with the next chapter of this story. I forgot to tell you guys in the previous note that my schedule has been ripped apart as I have started working on some new stories also which I will post as soon as I can. But I will upload one chapter in a week for this story.
This scene is rather small and after a rather big skip of pages in the original book. It was described very vaguely, and I felt it was completely overlooked so I decided to include it here. Basically, it's when Annabeth hold Percy's hand in the elevator/boat to the Underworld.

Chapter 5
'I get death sick'.
We were travelling to the Underworld in an elevator/boat with Charon and a bunch of dead spirits.
Wow!
That had to be one of the weirdest opening lines ever. Anyways, though I didn't let the others see, I was terrified. We were going to face the god of the underworld – Hades. If he wanted, he could destroy us with a snap of his fingers.
Yet, I knew that I had to stay strong and confident (at least pretend to do so) for Grover and Percy. And right now, we were on our way to one of the most dangerous places in the world. We were walking towards our doom.
I would never get to see Luke, or Chiron, or Malcolm, or any of my friends at camp. I was even starting to wish that I had visited my father, stepmother, and stepbrothers once. Even though they treated me badly, they were still my family. I had to give them a chance and forgive them.
I remembered what Percy had told me in the zoo truck. At that time, I had thought that the idea was absurd, but now, I was beginning to see some sense in it.
It was then that I decided something.
If I managed to escape from the underworld alive, and we managed to prevent World War III, I would spend the school year with my father in San Francisco. It would be difficult, but it was for the best. Maybe, just maybe, my father and I might even reconcile properly.
I remembered the fun we used to have before he remarried. He would spend so much time with me. He was my best friend.
Looking around myself in the elevator, I shuddered to think that my father could be one of these spirits.
All my life, people had left me. My mom, my dad, Thalia. I remembered a cousin of mine, in Boston whom I had played with when I was little.
Suddenly, I was overcome with visions. Visions in which every person I ever cared about, were with me in this elevator. But not alive, as ghosts. I couldn't bear the thought. I needed assurance that someone in this elevator was alive.
So, surprising myself, I grabbed Percy's hand. Normally, I would have never even dreamt of doing this, but now, it felt right.
Percy slightly squeezed my hand, making warmth run through my body, calming me down.
I was very grateful for having such good friends.
I could only hope that they would never leave me.
A/N: Well, that's it. Who knows the 'cousin' I'm talking about? Tell me in the reviews. For those who don't, it is a spoiler for future books. So, search at your own risk. Anyways, the scenes in TLT are about to end. So let me know if you want me to continue with Sea of Monsters also. If yes, do you want it in this story or should I create a new one. Please let me know as soon as possible. In case you wanted to know, there are going to be three more chapters – Escaping from Hades, the fight, the scorpion sting. Those aren't the actual titles, but you probably understand what I mean.
Wow! That was one big A/N. Welp! Bye for now!
