Katsuki was in metaphorical torchure, but at the same time he was in a state of bliss.
Katsuki was currently stomping down a hallway with the lovely Shouto Todoroki. He wasn't actually angry though. He didn't want Shouto to know this though. He had a reputation to uphold and it would be quite embarrassing if the dual hair alpha found out about Katsuki's slight infatuation.
You see, the reason Katsuki was actually pretty calm at the moment was Shouto's scent. It was like a minty hot chocolate on a cold winter day next to a smokey warm fireplace. It made Katsuki just want to snuggle with something. Preferably the alpha currently walking beside him, but he'd never say that out loud. Even if he was at knife point. He'd take this secret to his grave. Katsuki was sure these feelings would pass. Katsuki was trying to avoid Shouto, but it seemed like Aizawa had other plans.
Aizawa had sent the pair to send a message to a teacher in General Education. Why Katsuki was forced to go with Half-n-Half, he didn't know, but here he was.
The hallway was silent, save for the footsteps of Shouto and Katsuki and the little growls coming from Katsuki's mouth. The silence was a little awkward, but neither offered up a conversation topic. Usually, Katsuki would be thankful for this, but for some unknown reason, he longed for words between the two. This bothered Katsuki. The blonde hated talking to extras, but he supposed Shouto couldn't be considered an extra anymore. He had proved himself a formidable opponent. Yes, this had to be the reason.
Finally, they arrived at the classroom they were told to go to. Shouto took the initiative to knock. Katsuki heard the teacher pause and then hurried steps coming up to the door. The door opened to reveal a female beta with brown hair wrapped in a bun. There were highlights of varied lighter shades mixed into the teacher's hair. A smile was plastered onto her face and a black birthmark rested on her dimples. Black framed glasses covered her blue eyes. As for clothes, she wore a light purple dress with a black belt around her waist. Her necklace had a blue ocean charm on it and her shoes were black like her birthmark and belt. In Katsuki's opinion, she looked comical.
Katsuki stormed in, before the lady had invited him. Shouto performed a little bow, but then followed the volatile teen. The teacher was left with her mouth hanging open by the door. Katsuki resisted a little laugh that was threatening to bubble out. The teacher put herself together and put on that very fake smile if hers that now looked a little pissed and strained.
Katsuki glared at all the students whilst looking over them to see if anyone dared to challenge him. Instead they all looked scared of him. Katsuki huffed. One passed a note to another student. Was that little shit looking down on him?
"Um, class, these are two students from the hero course. Say hello," the teacher managed. All of the students hesitantly did their variations of a hello.
After him and Shouto were dragged to the teacher's desk, the teacher squeaked, "Did you two need something?" Of course, this person had a name. Katsuki just didn't care to learn it.
Shouto, who looked like he spotted something, left, leaving Katsuki here with this useless teacher who couldn't even look Katsuki in the eye. Shouto really needed to work on his social cues. Not that Katsuki was any better, but at least Katsuki knew them. Useless Teacher looked annoyed with Shouto. Katsuki upped his glare to level three. He wanted to have a little fun and scare the living shits out of this extra. Katsuki growled because that would make the beta even more terrified, "Aizawa said he wanted you to attend a meeting with him and the rest of the teachers at lunch break."
The teacher looked like she wanted to crawl into a corner and die. Mission accomplished. "Uh, I will b-be s-sure to a-attend. Thank y-you f-for your t-time."
Before Katsuki could properly bathe in the fear of the poor soul before him, an extra was raising her hand and saying something, "U-um, we have a problem over here Emiko-sensei."
The teacher -Emiko he supposed her name was- was frowning and getting up, "What seems to be the problem, Wakumi?"
"U-um, I accidentally hit this guy with my quirk after he picked up my eraser off the floor. He surprised me," Wakumi stuttered. Katsuki was going to call her Clumsy Idiot though. 'This guy' seemed to be Shouto. Meaning, Shouto was now under the effects of an unknown quirk. Just Katsuki's luck.
Useless Teacher's frown deepened, "Why don't you go outside the classroom and explain your quirk to these two. After all, they are closer. It would probably be safer if they fulfilled your quirk together instead of a stranger."
Useless Teacher half shoved them all outside the class and shut the door in their faces. Clumsy Idiot was shifting on her feet whilst staring at the ground intently like it was the most interesting thing in the world.
Katsuki snapped a hand in her face, "Hurry up, what's your quirk so we can get this over with."
"U-um," Clumsy Idiot started. "Well, it's called Return Truth. Basically, when the target is hit, they have to answer the first personal question they hear with complete truth. In return, the questioner has to answer the same question truthfully. It can also be done opposite. The target can ask the other person a personal question and they have to answer, but the target will also have to answer the question. The effects will not stop until both sides are fulfilled to the utmost truth. Until you answer the original question truthfully, both people will be under a regular truth quirk for any questions asked by anyone. Emiko-sensei thought you two should probably do it together because you probably don't want a complete stranger knowing a personal fact about you." Before they could say anything else, Clumsy Idiot made her rapid escape through the door, leaving Katsuki and Shouto alone in an empty hallway.
"So, what are you going to ask?" Shouto asked suddenly after the pair stared at the door, as he looked at Katsuki expectantly. "I recommend you ask something along the lines of who my crush is because you probably don't have one. Therefore, it wouldn't affect you in any way. I don't particularly care if you know my crush, as long as you don't get in my way. It's a win-win."
Katsuki didn't respond at first, a tiny blush appeared on his perfect complexion. Then, "What are you talking about, Half-n-Half Bastard?! Are you saying I'm incapable of romantic feelings towards someone?!"
Unaffected by the response, Shouto said with a straight face, "So you do have a crush on someone." Katsuki glared, then Shouto donned a smirk. "Who is your crush?"
"None of your businesss Stupid Freezerburn Bitch!" Katsuki snarled.
"You have to answer it now. You of all people should know our classmates will take advantage of this chance." Shouto paused, then said, "I like Izuku Midoriya. Now it's your turn."
Katsuki's eyes widened then he schooled his expression back to his normal angry demeanor. Katsuki mumbled something unintelligible to Shouto.
Shouto smiled deviously, "Sorry, I couldn't hear that. Repeat it again?"
"I like stupid Deku, Idiot!" Katsuki almost screamed.
Shouto looked surprised to say the least, "Y-you like Izuku?"
"Yeah, are you deaf?" Katsuki growled.
"I also like Izuku," Shouto said, as if reassuring himself of this fact.
Katsuki rolled his eyes, "No, duh. I can't feel the quirk anymore. Let's just forget thi-"
"We should make this a competition," Shouto said, looking Katsuki in his piercing ruby red eyes.
"Yeah- wait, what did you say?" Katsuki said.
"Let's make this a competition of who can ask out Izuku first. Whoever looses has to buy the other a date with Izuku. It's simple," Shouto said.
Katsuki grinned. He couldn't wait to beat this cocky bastard's sorry ass. "I'm up for a challenge. Not that this will be a challenge at all. You look so stupid a worm couldn't fall in love with you."
"Alright, then let the games begin."
