AN: Hey, everyone! It's the beginning of a new month! A very special time indeed. Have you been enjoying the Olympics? I know my family has.

Anyway, to celebrate the beginning of a new month, I have decided that I am going to upload two stories today; this, and A Merry Little Loop. The latter will come later in the day. In the meantime, I hope you enjoy this chapter.

One last thing: thank you to everyone who reviewed so far! Let's see if we can get this story up to 100 reviews! We are more than halfway there with that, and I would really appreciate it :)

Chapter 16 A Little Crazy

Roy sighed as he laid in his bed. However, it wasn't a sad sigh or even a weary one. It was actually ladened with very positive emotions. He had enjoyed Lemmy's show. A lot. He didn't often take the time to watch his big little brother put on his clown act, but when he did, he always walked away with a smile on his face.

Yeah. Today was a good day. It was an odd one to be sure, but in the end, he had enjoyed it. Celia seemed to enjoy it too, which was always a good thing. He liked making new friends. Especially when they were pretty girls.

Roy chuckled at that thought. Pretty girl, eh? Should he really be thinking that? After all, Celia was a human! Well, half human, but still. There was something really weird about Roy admitting to himself that he liked a human girl.

Of course, if she was Bowser's daughter (which she definitely was) he should probably lay off on those feelings anyway. After all, she had a lot of duties to fulfill as a Princess. She wouldn't have time to think about romance.

Roy turned over on his side and closed his eyes. He might as well go to sleep. Bowser returned tomorrow, which meant that it was definitely going to be an interesting day. Interesting in what way, Roy wasn't sure yet. His money was on it going well. But then again, Roy wasn't in Bowser's head. For all he knew, he might despise the fact that he had a daughter.

Ah well. He would cross that bridge when he got to it. For right now, he should just snuggle in his bed. The comforter made his scaly body feel extra warm, which was always a blessing. He should enjoy his time sleeping, as he absolutely loved to sleep.

"Sigh."

Roy blinked open his eyes when he heard a heavy release of air come from the hallway. Curious, he put his sunglasses back on and made his way out into the hall. He was present for just long enough to hear the door to Iggy's lab close. This was strange; was Iggy planning on sleeping in the lab or something? He put one foot after and made his way there. When he opened the door to the lab, he saw Iggy sitting at a laptop in the left hand corner, muttering something under his breath.

"Ahem." Roy cleared his throat.

Iggy barely acknowledged his older brother; at most just nodding his head. Roy took that as an invitation to enter the lab. He made his way down the stairs and stopped by Iggy's side.

"Whatcha doing?" he asked.

Iggy shook his head. "I'm just reexamining the x-rays I took earlier." He leaned in closer to the computer screen. "Really fascinating stuff this is."

Roy snickered. "Didn't you once tell me that it isn't a good idea to use screens so late in the day? Didn't you say something like….'the blue light will get in the way of your natural circadian rhythms?'"

Iggy smiled. "I am glad to hear that your memory retains the information that I have relayed to you." He puffed out his chest and smirked. "It seems that I am a major influence on your life, Roy."

Roy snickered. "Yeah. In your dreams, Pineapple."

Iggy blinked and turned toward Roy. "Pineapple?"

"Yeah. You know; because of your hair?"

Iggy's face fell. "Oh. Right." He sighed and brushed his hand down the length of his yellow green mohawk. "Perhaps I should look into reversing the effects of the accident I was involved in so that I have a normal Rainbow mohawk again."

"What? Are you crazy; you don't have to do that!" Roy smiled. "I think you look really cool with your plant head."

Iggy turned toward Roy with a smile. "Really?"

"Mmhm." Roy nodded his head. "It sets you apart from Lemmy." He giggled. "Besides, it is also really fun to make fun of."

Iggy scrunched up his brow. "Har har har." He turned back to the screen. "So glad to hear that you hold me in the highest regard."

Roy chuckled. "I don't know what that means, but I'll still say you're welcome."

Iggy rolled his eyes and clicked away on the computer. It was obvious to Roy that he was drawing back into his own head, ready to completely blot his brother's existence out of his mind. Eh, whatever. It wasn't that big of a deal; Roy could live with someone ignoring him. He turned back toward the staircase that would take him back out into the hallway. He was ready to return to his bedroom.

Although...now that he thought about it, he should probably check in on Celia first. After all, she was in a place that was unfamiliar to her. As his guest, she deserved to be checked in on.

"Hey, Iggy?"

"Hmm?"

"What room is Celia staying in again?"

Roy didn't know if it was his imagination, but he thought he saw Iggy seize up. "She is in the guest room downstairs."

Roy smiled. "Perfect. I'm going to go see her."

Iggy turned around in his swivel chair and looked at Roy seriously. "Roy….I think we should be cautious of that girl."

Roy blinked as he gripped the staircase railing. "What? Why?"

Iggy adjusted his glasses. "I do not believe that what she is saying is true. And if it is not, then we need to tread lightly. After all, dealing with somebody of an unstable mental state can be very perilous."

Roy blinked again. "Unstable mental state? What does that…." Suddenly, it occurred to him what Iggy was saying. "Wait. You think Celia is crazy?"

"It is just a theory. But I believe that we should keep her as far away from Bowser as possible. I have studied cases like this; where someone believes that they have a special connection to someone of importance. It is a sign of delusion, and can mean that someone isn't entirely well."

Roy scrunched up his brow. "But her mom told her that Bowser was her dad."

"Even still, the fact that she held onto what is obviously a lie for this long is indication that she is holding to the past. She could be regressing to a childlike state."

Roy shook his head. "You're wrong, Iggster. Celia is not crazy."

Iggy squinted at his brother. "Would a sane person yell at Larry the way she did?"

Roy felt his heart sink. "Oh. Larry told you about that, huh?"

"To be more exact, both Larry and Wendy told me about it." Iggy let out a breath and pressed his mouth in a firm line. "We need to be careful around this girl, Roy."

Roy ran through what Iggy was saying in his head. Celia was not crazy. She..she couldn't be. Roy wasn't one to fall for the lies of an insane person. He knew enough about girls to recognize one someone wasn't all there in the head. Or at least, he liked to believe he did. If Celia was crazy, then what would that make him?

No. She couldn't be crazy. A crazy person wouldn't recognize that he was sad like the way Celia did on that night Neo Bowser City. She was a perfectly normal girl. Sure, she had unique ancestry, but she was all there in the head.

"Alright," Roy said. He turned back around. "I'm still going to see her."

Iggy just shrugged and turned back toward his computer, muttering something about potentially giving Celia an MRI later on. Roy decided to ignore that (mostly because he didn't know what the heck an MRI was) and just head downstairs.
