Chapter 49
" How about June 4th?" Liv asked as Roman wiped the sweat from his brow. He had just finished his workout at the home gym and was drinking a protein shake. "Baby" he said before taking another sip "Like I said I would marry you tomorrow in a parking lot if you like , whatever you want , summer , autumn, winter , just don't keep me waiting too long ok". The excitement was gone from her face at his response and he cursed himself " I want you to actually be part of this too Roman , not just turn up in a suit". She went over and picked a crying Aden from his crib and settled him on her shoulder rocking him as she stood . Roman went behind her and massaged her bare shoulders gently, he kissed the back of her head. "Sorry, I didn't mean to bring you down, how about I take a shower and then we look at centrepieces". She smiled "You don't really want to do that, I know you". He slapped her ass playfully " For you , my love ,anything".
When he came back he was refreshed , wearing black sweat shorts and a red t-shirt, his hair was down and wet , just like he wore it to the ring and he smelled amazing. Aden had settled and he grabbed a water and pulled up a chair beside her. Olivia took in his wet hair and his smell and her eyes narrowed, she leaned in and kissed his lips gently, he drew away and smirked at her. "Oh no you don't , centrepieces remember?" he took the binder from her and opened it. Liv rolled her eyes. " I like snowdrops , such a lovely flower" he was teasing her , the smile on his face told her all . She pushed him on the shoulder. Roman closed the binder and moved his face close to hers. He stroked her cheek "Tell me what you want baby, for the wedding, forget about all of this binder, how do you see it ?". "Me, you , kids , family, friends, a beach and music". He smiled "that sounds perfect" . "And a dress of course, in fact this weekend we will go shopping for it". The thought of Olivia walking up the aisle in a beautiful dress while he waited for her at the top made him beyond happy. " June 4th sounds perfect " he said before pulling her into a hug.
That weekend flanked by Romans sisters and mother as well as Nia and JoJo, Olivia took on the task of wedding dress shopping. The first store they went to they were greeted with glasses of champagne and a viewing area with a platform where they could judge the dresses. Olivia picked out a range of different dresses to try and the sales clerk pulled a few she thought would suit also. "what style were you thinking honey?" Romans mom asked. " Not a clue , something fitted maybe?" Liv said , unsure of what it was that would suit her. The women nodded in agreement and they decided to start there. The first dress was not a good match, it cinched in at the waist but the enormous skirt did not flatter her body shape. As she stood on the podium Romans sister Summer simply said " Definitely not". They all agreed. This went on for 5 dresses and then Olivia came to the sixth , one JoJo had chosen and Liv didn't really think much of it. When she put it on and looked in the mirror she gasped, it was very fitted, showing every contour of her body but in a very flattering way the straps had some pearls and lace on them , and the back was open coming down in a v shape . The skirt went all the way in and then kicked out at the end with a short train. When she stepped out from behind the curtain to show the ladies they all gasped , Lisa even had tears in her eyes. " That's the one " she said and nobody disagreed. Olivia knew this was the one she would marry Roman in. As she finished her champagne she noticed Romans mother speaking to the sales clerk. " Lisa , is all OK?" she called and the older woman came and took her hand. She led her away from the group " I am paying for your wedding dress" she said simply. " What . No. We have a budget , don't be ridiculous" Lisa put up her hand . " This is about tradition my love . In my family the mother or parents of the bride always bought the wedding dress. Seeing as you have a bit of a different family set up , I wanted to continue the tradition on with you too .". Olivia was speechless. This was it she realised , they were family ok they still had to legally sign a register but she was one of them she had her family and it was the best feeling in the world.
They came home to a loud house. Liv had almost forgot that this was the weekend Dean and Seth were coming to stay. When the girls got back , the grill was going and all the Shield boys as well as Romans Dad , and his cousins Jey and Jon were catching up. A few of the kids were there too running around. "Welcome home ladies" Jon called and Olivia smiled at him. " Doc get over here now for some Ambrose love " Dean called excitedly. She went to him and he embraced her warmly , lifting her into the air. "You look good kid" he said. She linked his arm " Where is the beer , you and I need to catch up". Dean led her to the cooler and past the grill , where she saw her very stressed looking fiance. "Seriously , not even a kiss or an offer of some help. How about a hello?" Roman said good naturedly. As he spoke Seth came beside him and pulled up his sleeves. " It's always me , the one who keeps you two jokers in line. Give me the tongs Ro, grab those buns, otherwise no one will eat at all today". Roman did as he was told and with Seth at the grill they worked in tandem to put a feast on the table they had enough to feed everyone and the whole family were soon eating hot dogs and burgers. Liv had been deep in conversation with Dean when Roman finally flopped down next to her with his own plate. " Um.. Hello remember me" he said with a smirk. " Don't get jealous Reigns , the Doc here has obviously finally realised that although you may be pretty , you are not as good a conversationalist as me". Both of them laughed. "Sure Ambrose , guess I'm going to have to steal one then". Roman leaned in and kissed Liv tenderly on the cheek, she turned her face to him and kissed him on the lips . "Happy now?"she said. Dean was smiling at them fondly "the Baby is gorgeous you guys , he loved spending some time with his Uncle Dean before his nap earlier" Roman snorted " These two guys are the baby whisperers Liv , would you consider having them move in and take care of the little dude so we can catch up on our sleep". Dean gave her the puppy dog eyes " What , like three men and a little baby , that movie. Although I would love to see that in real life , I think we all got it pretty good as it is". Dean nodded " Yep me and Romie here are wifed up , but Rollins man , he needs some help still". "Wifed up?" Liv said at Dean. "Forget that Liv. Romie?" the three of them collapsed into laughter.
" Daddy did Liv tell you?". JoJo said bounding over to the table " Oh, Hi Uncle Dean". Ambrose gave the little girl an energetic hi-five. "No honey, what was it?". Jojo looked mighty pleased with herself " I picked out the wedding dress". Olivia nodded in support "She did indeed, JoJo here has great taste in clothing". Roman smiled at his daughter "Come here and tell me what it's like" he said in a stage whisper. "No way, Daddy . It's bad luck. But I will give you a hint. She looks like a princess". She said this so matter of fact that they all stifled smiles. Satisfied that she had given them the news, JoJo took off with Dean behind her getting refills . "So is it THE dress then?" he took her hand in his . " Yes it is" she put her nose to his " its perfect, just like you". He kissed her nose " Cheeseball" he said happily.
Seth , Dean , Roman and Liv were all sitting at the table with Romans parents as the sun went down. "OK then we better get going" Lisa said. Jojo and Aden were spending the night with their grandparents, giving Liv and Roman some time with the boys to catch up. Liv kissed Aden at least 10 times before finally letting him go "It's one night baby , he will be back before you know it". Roman reassured her. They cleaned up and went inside as the night air turned cool. The boys were sat around the table drinking beer and Liv cleaned the last of the stuff away. " So Rollins , me, Ro and the Doc think you need to start thinking more seriously about your future" Dean said in that voice he used when he was stirring up trouble. Seth rolled his eyes "Ambrose , I am enjoying life right now". Roman took a sip of his beer " How ? by fucking lots of random chicks". Liv glared at him. "Maybe I should leave you boys to it" she said . Dean shook his head " Not yet, Doc get in here woman's perspective". Liv sat with them taking the beer that Seth offered . " If Ro was single when you joined WWE and you heard he was screwing around what would you think?". Olivia had to be honest " Sorry Seth , but I would be thinking that he is a love them and leave them type, but luckily for you it doesn't matter what I think. To those that matter the most they actually think Seth is a pretty good guy". Olivia took a sip of her beer her statement hanging in the air. " I can see why you love her Roman , come on Doc what you been hearing?" Dean said. Roman sat forward making eye contact with his girl "Is this who we spoke about already? " he said as Olivia nodded. Roman whistled " What, tell me Liv come on". Olivia looked at Seth " You already like her so there is that". Rollins gave nothing away but she could see a smile was forming "Spit it out Doc". "Becks, am I right?". Ambrose looked confused " No way , I didn't see that one coming" . Seth was now beaming " Did she say something to you?". Liv told them about Becky saying she thought he was really nice . " And Seth looks at her all goofy" . The group laughed . "As goofy as the Big Dog looked at you?, then it must be bad" Seth joked. Roman puffed out his chest " Y'all are crazy. I was no where near that goofy when it came to Liv". "Please , you two were the worst , literally like a soap opera. Ex wives , bullying, will they or won't they , once you put the rings on each others fingers , please let that be the end of the drama". Dean said . " Although my money is on Balor running in and objecting like in the movies". They all laughed. Roman looked at Liv, who gave him a little nod. " When you put it like that, then I guess you two have really seen us through it all. Which makes this next part easier. I wanted to ask you both to be my best man?". " It would be an honour" Seth said as Dean got up to give Roman a hug. Liv watched as the three boys embraced. It made her heart warm. "Get in here Doc , shield sandwich ". Liv giggled as they pulled her into their arms.
She left the boys to it when talking turned to football "OK I am out good night y'all". She kissed Dean and Seth on the cheek before kissing Roman on the lips. "Feel free to wake me up when you're going to bed" she whispered out of earshot of the boys . " I intend to" Roman whispered back with a wink. Olivia fell asleep to the sound of laughter from her kitchen. She stirred at a noise and looked up to see Roman , clearly worse for wear undressing beside the bed. "Olivia, Olivia" he whispered. She opened an eye "You OK?". He climbed in pulling the covers partially over his waist. " Oh you're awake good, I promised you something earlier didn't I?" He smelled of beer and toothpaste but none of that mattered when his hand ran up and down her thigh , stroking her lightly and fully waking her from her sleep. She responded in earnest, settling underneath him , he leaned over her and kissed her gently on the lips before moving to her neck and throat. Instinctively she curled her legs around his waist . He pulled her t-shirt off above her head exposing her upper body and the part of her that drove him wild her breasts . He dipped his head to them licking and kissing them wildly. All the while Liv almost squirmed underneath him , she grabbed at him in return, pulling down his boxers and taking him into her hand. She heard a sharp intake of breath as he responded to her touch. In her ear he said " You know just what to do, don't you baby, just how I like it". That drove her on more , she let him go and said "Now". He plunged in there and then and she almost cried out in pleasure , he moved his thumb to her sweet spot and kept going until she came hard and breathless . "one more for the road" he whispered in her ear , before flipping her over and coming at her from a different position, her body responded as a second orgasm began to build again , heightening as Roman caught her hair , not too rough, but enough to take her over the edge. When she was done ,he withdrew and peppered her back with a few kisses before she turned over." Did you.." she asked. He smiled at her " Just before your second performance" he answered lazily . He lay down beside her pulling her bare back to his bare chest "Goodnight soon to be Mrs Reigns" he yawned. Liv smiled she loved the sound of that,.
