AN: Hey, everyone! Today is my birthday! Yeah, I'm excited. Or at the very least, I WOULD be if I didn't have to go into work today.

Anyway, I hope you enjoy this chapter.

Chapter 21 Is It Even True?

"Sigh."

Roy raised an eyebrow when he heard Iggy enter his room with a long, drawn out sigh. He didn't exactly remember inviting him. This could only mean that he was here by his own invitation, which of course was super annoying. Seriously, the leas that the pineapple haired genius could do was knock first before barging in.

"Uh, what are you doing here?" Roy asked as he leaned up in his bed and put his Playkoopa magazine to the side.

Iggy shook his head. "I am in an emotional state that most people would generally describe as 'miffed.'"

"Miffed, huh?" Roy sat up and started picking at his toenails. "Why exactly is that?"

Iggy paused, seemingly for dramatic effect. "I cannot believe that Bowser is Celia's Dad."

Roy stopped picking at his toenails and lifted his head, giving Iggy a sour expression. "Dude! Bowser already said that he was!"

Iggy groaned. "I know that; I am not an idiot." He crossed his arms. "I just cannot fathom how such an improbability could turn out to be the truth."

Roy scoffed. "Dude! Come on!" He transitioned from picking at his toenails to picking at his fingernails. "You have got to let this go!"

There was another pause. Roy lifted his head and looked at his brother. He looked like he had just gotten a taste of something nasty.

"I am aware," he finally said.

Roy nodded. Then, a thought occurred to him, and he let out a snicker. "You know what I think Iggy? I think you're just salty because you weren't right this time around."

Iggy raised an eyebrow. "Oh?"

"Yeah! You were really riding on your point of view being the correct one. To me…" Roy grinned. "You just can't handle the fact that you. Are. Wrong."

Iggy blinked. He looked at one corner of the room, seemingly distant from the physical world. "Wrong…"

"Yep! You're wrong! You're so wrong that we should change your name to Wrong!" He snickered. "How does it feel to be on the same plane as the rest of existence?"

Iggy's left eyebrow began to twitch, his lip quivered. "Wrong…." The twitching sped up dramatically. "I...I cannot be wrong!"

Roy snickered. "Well too bad, cause you are!"

"NO!" Iggy shouted so loudly that Roy leaned away from him. "I am not wrong! I am never wrong, and I will certainly not be wrong this time!"

Roy raised an eyebrow. "But...Bowser said…"

"I don't care what Bowser said!" Iggy shouted. He slapped his hands down on the edge of Roy's bed. "I will ask him more questions! I will get him to crack and admit that Celia isn't his daughter!" He chuckled. "Oh, then we will see which one of us is wrong."

With that, Iggy turned and made his way out of the room. Roy, having a bad feeling about where all of this was going, sprang out of bed and followed after him.

It took a while to find Bowser, but Roy and Iggy managed to do so eventually. He was in the dining hall, and he was having a little chat with Celia. Both parties at the table were grinning widely.

"So then, I said…" Bowser lifted his fork. "Mario! How dare you disturb my family vacation! And then I breathed a really big stream of fire on him." Bowser chuckled. "Yeah, good times."

"Ahem."

Bowser looked up and made eye contact with the increasingly irritated Iggy. He looked over at Celia with an apologetic smile. "Sorry sweetie, but I'm afraid I have to take this."

Celia blinked before smiling. "Okay."

"Don't worry; I'll be back." Bowser chuckled. "Don't you go anywhere!"

With that, he got up and went over to Iggy and Roy. Iggy led both of them out into the hallway and closed the door behind them. He then took in a deep breath.

"King Bowser," he said formally. "There are some questions that I wish to ask you."

Bowser grinned. "Oh! Okay! Shoot away!"

Iggy's expression grew stern. "They are in regards to your daughter."

Bowser's face fell, but not a lot. "Oh. Okay then."

Iggy looked Bowser in the face, his own expression looking more an more serious. "Well, for starters, I believe that I can ask the most obvious question. Who is Celia's mother?"

Roy didn't know if it was his imagination, but he thought he saw Bowser seize up. He had no idea why though; this should be a fairly simple question to answer. However, Bowser looked like he was straining himself just to come up with a sufficient answer.

"I…" Bowser scratched the back of his head. "I'm not sure."

Iggy raised an eyebrow. "You're not sure!" He gawked. "How can you not be sure? You were the one who went out with her!"

Bowser blinked. "I did?"

"YES!"

Bowser hesitated. "Huh. You think I would remember that."

Admittedly, even Roy was growing suspicious now. He looked up at his adopted father. "Wait. Bowser, do you...do you know how babies are even made?"

Iggy cast Roy a glare. He opened his mouth to say something and possibly even berate Roy. However, Bowser spoke up before he got that opportunity.

"Gonna be honest here….not really?"

Iggy gawked harder than he had ever gawked before. His eyes were buggy, and his mouth was hanging on by a very loose thread. "You...YOU DON'T?"

"No. Could you please tell me?"

Discomfort flew across Iggy's face. He gestured for Bowser to lean down. When he was level, Iggy whispered into his ear. Once he had finished, realization hit Bowser's face.

"Ohhhh, that." He paused and adorned a smile. "Yeah, I've never done that."

Roy reeled back in shock. Iggy did a doubly take.

"You have never done that?" Iggy asked.

"Oh man, dude," Roy said with a grin. "You're totally missing out!"

"Roy!" Iggy snapped. He directed his attention back toward Bowser. "If you've never done that, how could you think Celia was your daughter? And for that matter...how did you think that children were made?"

Bowser chuckled. "Well, duh! I thought that they were brought to their parents with the storks! That's how it works in the Yoshi Island game!"

Iggy began seething. "That….THAT'S NOT HOW IT WORKS IN REAL LIFE!"

Bowser blinked. "It's not?"

"NO!" Iggy shook his head. "Unbelievable." He passed by Bower and Roy and began walking down the hallway. "I come from a family of idiots! IDIOTS!"

"Yeah, love you too!" Roy called out. Then, all of a sudden, a thought struck him. It caused him to seize up, his chest to ache. "Wait." He turned toward Bowser. "If you've never done that, then that means…."

Bowser blinked before his face fell. "Celia's not my daughter."
