Hey everyone! I'm back with another chapter! Thanks for reading and enjoy the story! Let me know your thoughts in the comments!
It was late at night and I was exhausted after such crazy things happening today. Mrs. Andrews had reached out to my parents for me and my mom was taking the next flight over, until she arrived, in a day or two, nothing permanent would be done to my arm. I managed to send a quick text to Akaashi telling him that I was fine, just in the hospital. I had no idea if he had seen it or replied.
I heard hushed arguing in Japanese in the hallway outside my room. The voices were familiar and I wondered what was going as I woke from my short nap.
"Kozu?" I said as I sat up, careful not to move my arm too much. I was on pain relievers but they didn't magically make all the hurt go away.
"Ria!" he jogged in and grabbed my good hand in his, "Ria, are you okay?"
"I'm a lot better now." I smiled and patted the bed beside me, a signal for him to sit down. He smiled as he did and I leaned my head on his shoulder.
"Thank you for coming." I whispered as I watched his thumb rub circles on the back of my hand.
"Of course I came, I would be like the worst boyfriend ever if I didn't." forced a chuckle. It sounded genuine, but the look on his face that he was too worried for that to be so.
"Kousei didn't visit Kaori." I countered.
"1). Kousei was being a chicken, 2). they weren't even dating, and 3). don't even jokingly compare us to them, because there is no way in hell you are dying on me." his lips brushed against my temple as he left butterfly kisses across my cheek and forehead.
"Okay, okay," I conceded, "I won't compare us to them, so long as you never compare us to Tamaki and Haruhi again."
"Well excuse me for thinking calling you tamaki, meaning you are a happy person who sees the best in people, would be taken as a compliment." Kozu rolled his eyes and I giggled.
"Let's just stop talking," I smiled wide as I rubbed my head against his shoulder, "Let's just sit like this and go to sleep. I feel better already with you here."
"I would love to do that, but your regional representative lady told me I could only stay for a few minutes." He grumbled.
"Is that what the fighting was about?" I raised an eyebrow.
"You heard that?" he looked sheepish, "My mom was just letting her know, in no uncertain terms, that she wasn't going to stop us, especially me, from being here. Just, you know, if you haven't been able to tell yet, my mom really loves you."
"I'm glad," I laid back, pulling Kozu with me, "I really love her too, almost as much as I love you."
"I love you too." Kozu put a soft peck on my lips as he shifted onto his side, hand brushing my hair off my face.
"Good night, Kozu." I smiled.
"Good night, Ria." he pressed his forehead against mine and before I knew it, I was drifting off into a deep sleep.
