CHAPTER 2
Random centuran POV
I was guarding the entrance to camp, when I heard a rustling of leaves. I aimed my bow towards it, but out walked…
Lupa? With a small black wolf pup sleeping on her back. I immediately bowed, and then she said
"Rise, young pup. I have a new addition for camp. HIs name is Perseus, but he prefers Percy."
Stunned, I said
"But my lady, I do not see a demigod around. And when have you ever taken a demigod to camp before?"
She smiled, before saying
"He is the wolf. I will wake him when we arrive at camp."
I noticed she didn't answer my other question, but I took her to camp. As we walked in, they all bowed when they saw Lupa. she stopped at the Praetor's house, and said
"You may go now. Thank you for escorting me here."
I left, wondering about the demigod/wolf.
Eve (the praetor) POV
I am doing paperwork (ugh. One of the downsides of being praetor) when I hear the door open. I go down to investigate it, and I see… Lupa? How strange. But even stranger was the small wolf sleeping on her back.
"Lady Lupa. What are you doing here?"
"I have come to make an addition to camp. This is Perseus, but he prefers Percy. His full name is Perseus Jackson. He is a son of Poseidon, but you should not dislike him because of that. He is very powerful, and a very sweet boy. Most people like him."
"But he is a wolf, how can he be a demigod?"
Lupa smiles and wakes the wolf up.
"Percy," she says. "Percy, wake up!"
The small wolf let out a- was that a yawn? And rolls off Lupa's back. Then, he leaps. Startled, I stumble back, and sit in my chair as he lands on the couch. But he is not a wolf anymore. He is a boy, about 5 years old.
Amazed and shocked I say
"Wow. That is… amazing! How can he do that?!"
"I have blessed him. Now, to the important matter. Do you have any foster parents?"
"Well, kind of. We have a few, but they are already fostering kids. But, there is one family that is looking for a brother for their little boy, Jason Grace. He is about the same age as Percy. I will call them here. If the boys get along, they may be able to foster him."
"Perfect. Bring them over please."
Percy POV
Ugh! I am sooooooo bored! The boring grown-ups are talking about boring grown-up things. I wait, and wait, and wait, and finally the door opens and in comes 2 more grown-ups! But there is a kid my age too! Yay! I rush up to him, and say
"Hi! I'm Percy! Who are you? I am a son of neptune, and I really like horses and fish and I can talk to them and I can talk to wolves and turn into a wolf and-"
The boy giggles and says
"Slow down! You're talking too fast, but that's ok 'cuz I do it too. I'm Jason, and I'm a son of Jupiter! I like horses and fish too, but I can't talk to them. I can talk to eagles and birds though!"
I really liked Jason already, and he talked a lot too! I wanted to be friends with him, so I said
"Cool! Wanna be friends? I think you're cool and you talk a lot just like me! We could have a lot of fun together! I never had a friend before, except my sister Luna, and she didn't count because she was my sister. I miss her and my old mommy took me away and gave me to my new mommy, Lupa and I never saw Luna again. So it's sad. Do you have a sister?"
"Yes I want to be friends! And I have a sister, Thalia, but the same thing happened to both of us, except my new mommy is here!"
I laughed, and I knew that I was going to be friends with Jason. Until mommy walked down with the grown-ups and said
"Ah, Percy, I see you are becoming friends with your now brother. His family is adopting you, and you are going to live with them!"
Stunned, I turn to Jason and say
"We're brothers now! Not just friends! Hey, when is your birthday?"
"August 18" (I know Jason's b-day is July 1st, but I wanted them to have the same birthday so I changed it! This way it's more twin-like, if you read my other stories you might know I have a thing for twins :D)
My eyes widen and I say
"Me too! Hey, there's this thing that twins do, they talk at the same time and finish each others sentences! Maybe we can do that too!"
"Yeah, that would be cool! Hey, if we are brothers, we could play together a lot and maybe be best friends!"
The grown-ups smiled at us and said
"Well, it looks like you two are off to a good start! Now, time to go, I'm sure you will have lots of fun together in the future."
And so they did.
OK! Next chapter is out! Whoohoo! I had a big project going at school, so that's why I took so long. Summer is coming up soon, so get ready for a lot more updates! Next chapter is about some of the fun they have over the years. 1 per year, until they are 12, then they will have their test at the coliseum to join the legion!
