"The darkest under the lamp" polish saying

With a smile on her lips, Ola was walking to a shopping mall near the city center. She was going to meet her friends from the Yuudachi fleet and Mutsuki from the war with the Abyssals. The war itself had ended a long time ago and she was one of those leading up to it. The Abyssals eventually succumbed to the human fleet and were destroyed and exterminated one by one.

After the war, the humans demobilized the shipgirls and conducted assimilation processes with normal society for them. Of course the Natural Born had it the easiest by virtue of the fact that they had lived as humans before joining the fight, so they were the ones who helped the girls to live fairly normal lives in human society. Not everything went well of course and some of them preferred to stay in the Navy as soldiers and pursue military careers.

Ola's good mood got a little spoiled when while walking down the sidewalk she saw a huge billboard with her on it. It depicted her smiling in her Kanmunsu outfit and saluting the audience. It advertised an anime about Kanmunsu, more specifically a movie with the title true story. The reason she was angry was because it portrayed her as more Asian than she really is.

For God's sake I am Polish, not Japanese! She didn't like how the Japanese portrayed her as Asian, maybe another version of her is Japanese but the one born in this world is Ola is the child of a Polish-Japanese couple and was raised as Polish. Hell she speaks better Polish than Japanese despite being a Japanese Kanmunsu!

She heartily loathed Japanese ultra-nationalists, they have been a terrible nuisance to her life since she came to Japan from Poland where she was born and raised. The biggest absurdity for her is that these guys accused her father of being born as a destroyer even though her mother is also a Shipgirls carrier. She remembers how at a meeting for civilians in Japan where she was with her parents who were helping with the conference because of their duties.

One of the guests accused her of defiling her mother and creating a weak destroyer. Her father when he heard this started to laugh like a fool and fell down from the chair on this statement, while her mother in turn showed that although she is nice and polite, she can hit without unnecessary tricks if one presses the right place. This "Mr" supposedly until today is in hospital after her mother hit him with all her strength and send him into a wall.

Additionally, her whole face was red with anger and she said to the camera that if anyone ever says anything bad about her husband or children again, she'll tear his legs out of his ass and stick it in his mouth. Well, her name Red Castle obliges.

Since then the accusations against her and her parents have calmed down, although in general many Japanese put pressure on her to stick to the Japanese side. Needless to say, this was another reason why her mother preferred to live in Poland. "No one will decide for my child because she is a JAPANESE ship. Japan has a lot of ships and Poland doesn't, so what do they care about one destroyer?" she says often in anger as she hears once again about what the wise others are doing to her daughter.

Returning to her, Ola arrived at her destination with her mood broken. It was an ice cream shop on the second floor where Yuudachii along with Mutsuki were waiting for her while eating ice cream.

"Oy Fubuki here!" Yuudachi shouted to her, then wrinkled her forehead seeing that she was in a bad mood. "What's wrong Buki?" she asked using her nickname.

"Nothing happened, I just saw an advertisement for that movie." Ola replied a bit grumpily without smiling. "I understand" Yuudachi replied nodding her head.

Mutsuki decided to cheer up Ola by buying her favorite ice cream. "You have Fubuki, chocolate your favorite!" She said to her giving her a big batch of ice cream in a cone.

"CHOCOLATE" Said an animated Ola seeing the ice chocolate in the cone. Then she began to eat the ice cream, showing her great love for chocolate of all kinds, except white, but that's because there is no chocolate in it.

While she was eating, Ola asked, "Did you guys buy the tickets for the movie yet?" Mutsuki nodded, "Yes, I have three in the best seat upstairs!"

Yuudachi shook her head, "I still can't believe someone made a movie of that crossover fanfic, Harry Potter and Shipgirls"

Ola looked at her and tilted her head, "Poi?" Yuudachi snorted with laughter,

"Ola! You're not that Harry from the story." Ola laughed in response "That's for your Kaa-San to me last time. I'm not that Fubuki."

Mutsuki on the other hand just nodded "I still can't believe that Multiverse exists and this story really happened in another world." Yuudachi on the other hand made a face saying seriously? "It's probably obvious, especially after we met Fubuki's father for the first time, I'm surprised you guys didn't figure it out right away." Mutsuki just furrowed her eyebrows "Not everyone has a fellow Halo fanatic from America as a friend." Yuudachi was about to retort but Ola quickly changed the subject.

"As for the Multiverse, I met another version of my mother where I am now, you know where." The girls looked at her with a questioning face. "What is she like?" They both asked at the same time. "Similar, but different from my mom." Yuudachi made an inquiring gesture. "So?" Ola scratched her temple. "She has less experience? She doesn't have the love of her life? She's much more melancholic?" Mutsuki hearing the first one snorted, Ola and Yuudachi looked at her with pity.

"So she seems more like Kaga?" Asked Yuudachi turning to Ola, the latter only nodded her head in agreement. Suddenly Mutsuki stood as if in awe and hastily pulled her bag out of the hold. "Fubuki, you've got to give it to Nimi," seeing the questioning face, "those are books for her," she added. Ola nodded at that "Let me guess historical and about our world?" Mutsuki nodded in agreement "Well, apparently she's writing some kind of book or scientific dissertation."

Ola whistled "That's right, Nimi's writing a book," she wrinkled her eyebrows "And she didn't say anything to me! I'll take care of Nimusia when I get home!" Mutsuki giggled quietly, knowing Ola's attitude towards her younger siblings. Further discussion was interrupted by Yuudachi "Girls, let's go to the cinema hall, the movie's about to start." Ola's eyes widened in astonishment "But we didn't buy any popcorn!" And all three of them rushed to the cinema located diagonally across from the ice-cream parlour.

North of the Atlantic Dark Zone

The air was pierced by planes of humans and sirens pressed together in a murderous embrace. They tried to shoot each other down without any mercy. The human jets clashed with their siren counterparts and slowly the humans began to win these duels in the air. Gaining air superiority would eminently help the humans fighting below.

"Fuck! There's a bandit on my tail, I can't get rid of him!" said the pursuing pilot anxiously. His rockets ran out long time ago and he was left with only his cannons trying to fight in a maneuver battle. Unfortunately, after shooting down 2 enemies, he got a tail in the form of a third enemy who escaped his sights to follow him.

All the time the pilot tried to lose him by making another 180 degree turn hoping to use his smaller turning radius than the enemy. He then turned back towards his opponent, turning right. Unfortunately his attempt to get on the chasing pilot's tail failed when the two passed dangerously close, flying in opposite directions.

A short burst of both pilots passed each other by meters as they flew by. The pilot immediately turned left at a downward slant to hit it from below when it failed. The bullets that flew over his cabin on the right and damaged his left wing gave the new enemy an indication. "Damn it" cursed the pilot, immediately making a sharp turn to the right, slanting downwards and then quickly jumping up.

Unfortunately, both pursuers did not let up and took turns attacking the pilot, hoping that one of their missiles would finally catch him. "Somebody get rid of them!" he called out over the radio.

Suddenly he heard a loud desu on the radio, which he did not know how he understood as "(I see you, the wingmen are behind me, let's get them!)" And right after that small planes appeared from the side and with their fire they shot down one of the enemies and with the other one they made him fly so that the pilot could easily tear him to pieces.

"This is Hammer-4 thanks for the support Fairy-1" said to the little Zer pilots. "(No problem Hammer-4, Fairy-1 is back to hunting)" replied the little pilot and the Zer pilots quickly flew off to their left. "I still can't get used to these little guys," said Hammer-4 and one of his friends giggled "At least they kick Sirens ass, and a good one at that! Not like you, Hammer-4" said his friend over the radio.

The pilot rolled his eyes and went back to the fight to shoot down more enemies.

Meanwhile on the water Akagi giggled as she heard her pilots talking about who was the best of them. "Okay, boys, less penis measuring and more sending down the Sirens, the sky won't clear up on its own" she said to them, not hiding from using the radio at the request of her fleet mates who felt uncomfortable when she used it without moving her lips.

"(Yes Ma'am!)" exclaimed her pilots collectively. Then Akagi returned to monitoring the entire battle and sending her squadrons to where it was hottest. "Sometimes I envy you having real pilots in your rigging," said Bogue to her. "Yes, yes, and listening to your pilots measure their penises in flight," Shoukaku said to her.

Ranger rolled her eyes at that "Oh yes, everyone knows that you want to have the same thing as Akagi, Shoku." Shoukaku looked at her angrily "Don't call me that!" At that the Odważny aircraft carrier KANSEN of the Rzeczpospolita interjected "Dad is right about your nickname, you always want to carry that machete by your side to have the enemy in Shock, Shoku." She said in Polish to Shoukaku.

Of course Shoukaku as every foster daughter of the commander knew Polish and with irritation and rather typical for Zuikaku behaviour she replied "It's not a machete Ważniak! It's a katana and the fact that our dad twists our names for fun is no reason for you to do the same!" What interrupted further tirade of Shoukaku was a bullet hitting her back from nowhere. "What the fuc..." another artillery shell hit that flew at her face drowned her out and knocked her back about 40 meters.

"Who's shooting and from where?" shouted Ranger, "Is it the Sirens?" Asked Odważny. Suddenly they heard moans and frightening announcements, and the girls themselves became strangely weak and shivers ran down their backs. Akagi who turned to them and with a groan said "It's something worse. It's an Abyssals!" And she was joined by Shoukaku who spat out the rest of the projectile in her jaws along with some of her teeth. "Sirens don't use artillery shells anyway Ważniak." Then she looked at her rigging which took the damage of her task.

It didn't look good, there were visible impact marks on her deck making holes. Annoyed, she tried to play the flute to call for more planes, but missing some of her teeth meant it didn't work. "Hit it" said Shoukaku and pulled out her katana, and took a fighting stance charging the planes with her sword. Opposite their small battle group was a whole sizable horde of Abyssals of various types. Their cover of destroyers and cruisers had been tied up fighting when they were surprised by their sudden appearance.

The battleships were elsewhere supporting the regular fleet with their ships. The nearest heavy ships, Renown and Repulse, were cut off by the horde of Abyssals in front of them. "Not a bad choice for an ambush, the bastards." She said to the Ranger. "Akagi's advice?" Bounge asked her. Akagi said only "Only one retreat to our cover, there are too many of them to fight here!" And Bounge looked at her "And while doing that, throw all our planes at them to save the rest of the cover?" Akagi nodded and fired a squadron of bombers and then torpedo planes quickly.

"What the hell is going on Ranger?" Ola shouted over the radio. The Ranger quickly replied "Captain, I report that the enemy from the Akagi world has hit us and has tied up part of our escort in combat. So far no casualties except for Shoku's teeth" Shoukaku's loud HEY! made everyone laugh. "And the shield is holding up so far but our heaviest calibers are cut off from us by a horde of enemies" A loud curse in Polish came from Ola, in this case he is no different from his father, both have a sharp tongue.

"I will relay this to the Commander, Ranger and for now you are to link up with your cover. Over and out." Ola replied, the Ranger only instinctively nodded her head "Accepted, out, Captain." She looked at her companions and repeated what Ola had told her. The girls accepted it with calmness, it wasn't the first time something screwed up and for them Abyssals or Sirens it didn't make any difference, both were just targets to be sunk. As ordered, they began to retreat to the cover they had left.

A reassured Shoukaku looked at the horde charging at her and said, "As dad says, play music!" and then fired her sword planes with one straight cut. The Abyssals were quickly taken aback when from the sword swipe appeared dark blue planes of various types that attacked them with everything they had.

One of them, Re-Class to be exact, tore through the enemy planes, sacrificing her own to cover herself. Then she opened fire on the girls. Shipgirls were not stupid to get caught in the fire and quickly jumped away from the flight path of the missiles. Shoukaku then did something Re didn't expect from the carrier and that was to charge at her and attack with her sword. Re quickly tried to teach the stupid girl a lesson by using her tail, unfortunately this girl cut off Re's tail as if she was cutting ordinary paper and then without giving any more chance she cut Shoukaku into Re's head in one smooth motion.

Re-class tried to jump away in time and almost succeeded but the katana reached her face and severed her lower jaw from the rest. Abyssal screamed out loud in pain and looked at Shoukaku with bloodlust in her eyes. No Shipgirls to date had ever done such a thing and acted as if they were only dealing with vermin and not the dangerous Re-Class. The continued attempt to fight was interrupted by the bombs Akagi dropped on the head of the Abyssala Battleship.

Shoukaku looked at Akagi and only nodded slightly in acknowledgement. In nothing this Akagi resembled the one she knew, and what's more, there was nothing to complain about with her. Not that it would have mattered under the tutelage of her foster father who effectively banished such thoughts from her mind. Sometimes it really puzzled Shoukaku how he does it, but since she knew how old the commander actually is and how many kids, almost all of them foster, he has raised she is no longer surprised how he knocked it out of her head.

Then after a short while she returned to the battle shielding her ranged friends along with Bouge who used her baseball bat for that, maybe it's primitive but quoting the commander "The sword is a weapon that cuts and slashes the target but it's the hammer blow that causes more havoc in the body" Or something like that but I guess it referred to some military formations. Space Marines? and some kind of Guard, apparently the commander once served in the latter. Skoukaku only shook her head slightly before cutting off Ta-class' head.

The girls themselves listened to Akagi's advice on the weaknesses of their opponents to make it easier for them to break through. In the meantime, they also used their planes to support those KANSEN who were struggling to break out of the encirclement.

Cut off the 8th Cruiser Squadron and the 4th Destroyer Squadron.

For the cut off girls the fight was murderous and exhausting. Yes, thanks to the skills unusual for the Abyssals they won the battle, but this is a situation where quantity becomes a feature in itself. And the fact that Abyssals like close combat and have sharp teeth doesn't help. Fortunately, disciplined Takao and fearsome Dido kept everyone willing to fight under control.

Montpelier, although not an outstanding swordsman, together with her sisters called Sea Knights, was trained by the commander in the use of white weapons. As he himself said -A knight without a sword is an ass and a knight is not.- Then he arranged a small training regime for them in fighting with white weapons.

As a result, she knows how to fight with her broadsword, which she uses to leave solid marks on any opponent foolish enough to try to attack her within its range. Needless to say, she then gets rid of such an offender with her cannons.

The last cruiser is the Porland. In general, Porlands have a certain fervor about their sister. In general, in this particular case it is a bit different. Yes he always thinks about his sister, but he does not talk about her all the time. This one is rather more obsessed with her adoptive father and tries to be the best daddy's girl, it should be noted that he is a KANSEN and this causes the best in her opinion, of course, daughter has to bring a report time and time again in which she reports that she murdered the most Sirens of all.

What's more, given her surprisingly innocent nature, she causes misunderstandings from the rest of the girls, who may think she's bragging about being the best.

Add to that the fact that she often follows her commander's orders without thinking and literally, causing some incidents like when the commander said she shouldn't wear her costume. Unfortunately, she did not hear that she should change into a different one, nor why, so she simply undressed and proudly stood naked.

The commander reacted in a simple way, he didn't blow his whistle at what he saw nor did his nosebleed and try to look the other way and apologize. He simply banged his head on the desk and said "Porld, sunshine FIRST let me tell you to the end and then with INTENTION follow my command, okay?" The commander's face was one and expressed as if her adoptive father didn't know whether to laugh or cry.

Porland just stupidly nodded her head not knowing what was going on, while Ola along with Cleveland said something about a cinnamon roll. Back on the battlefield, Porland shot at each of the enemies circling around her targets and taking out one by one and occasionally treating one of the Abyssal Destroyers with a kick or throwing them like a ball at the larger opponents.

The other 4 were of course the Hamman, Cassin, Yukikaze and Tashkent Destroyers respectively. All four took advantage of the fact that they had torpedoes and wave after wave they sent at their enemies sending their opponents to the bottom. God bless the one who invented torpedoes. They were the only thing keeping the KANSEN alive. The Abyssals attacked so densely that even if they missed their original target, they hit another Abyssal. Unfortunately, the guns, while effective, did not have the firepower they needed to break out of the encirclement.

The cursed Abyssals were able to withstand something like having a leg blown off their body. Needless to say this discovery horrified KANSENs, Akagi's tales of her world and enemies ceased to be as amusing or silly as having to face one of these things. It's different from blowing a limb off of Siren, there it's a robotic body, and here we have a confusion of steel and flesh. Not what in the case of KANSEN which physically are no different from humans and if you get rid of a limb the effect will be like a human and you have to immediately evacuate such a shipgirl from the battlefield, these monsters move as if nothing.

Although as noted such Abyssal acts as a properly damaged ship.

"Cursed missile sponges!" Hamman shouted as she fired at one of the destroyers before the perforated one drowned. She had to suddenly jump back when one of the humanoid classes broke through the protective cordon. "I'm going to crush all of you weaklings!" she shouted and fired another volley of torpedoes straight at her opponents. Poor Abyssal didn't expect there to be so many of them and just took most of them on herself and with a scream started to sink.

She fell silent as an annoyed Hamman put his cannon in her mouth and pulled the trigger tearing her head to shreds. "Because of you I got dirty!" she said and began firing at more opponents.

The rest of the torpedoes sailed into the crowd. Damaging more opponents. At another point, Dido surprised her opponent by grabbing her leg and cutting off her head and arms before letting her body sink. -There's too many of them,- Dido said, then pirouetted, dodging the bullets flying toward her before returning the blow herself.

"But that doesn't mean we're giving up!" Shouted Takao as she fought a small group of enemies at once, jumping and slicing anyone who didn't escape in time with her sword.

"That doesn't mean we have to stand here and wait for us to run out of bullets," said Cassin in a calm tone as Re-Class attacked her with her tail only to get burned by her healing fire. Abyssal then tackled the fire and tried unsuccessfully to put it out.

Her panic allowed Yukikaze to attack from behind and put torpedoes into her back. The screams of pain and suffering caused distress in the shipgirls who heard such moans of pain for the first time. She was about to say something when Akagi's plane fell right on top of her and a fairy parachuted down on her head.

"Hey, what's the meaning of this!" shouted Yukikaze to the fairy. The fairy got a little scared before she said "(New orders from the commander, you are to break through towards the south where ships will be waiting for you to relieve you.)" Yukikaze looked at the pilot fairy and then at his plane seeing that it was damaged. "Well, jump in your pocket you'll be safer there."

The fairy saluted her and jumped into her back pocket in her jacket. "Takao, we have new orders!" she shouted to Takao. "What kind!" She shouted to Takao.

"We are to break through south to our ships!" shouted back Yukikaze. "Good, Girls follow me we are going to our own!" shouted Takao.

The girls quickly accepted the new order and began to march south through the enemy lines. "Why didn't he say that over the radio," asked Tashketa Yukikaze and after briefly asking the pilot in her pocket, she replied "They couldn't connect with us so Akagi sent one of her pilots here." Tashketa nodded. "These Abyssals did something to the radio most likely." said Montpelier recalling that Akagi had mentioned something about it.

"How can you be so sure it was them and not the Sirens' new weapon?" Hamman asked, Montpelier raised her hands in a gesture of disbelief and then quickly lowered them to defend herself against another human Abyssal. "Are they mutually exclusive?" Portland asked, kicking another Abyssal and breaking another's neck at the same time.

"Good question," said Montpelier like a certain green-skinned ogre.

Further conversation was interrupted by an air raid of the Rzeczpospolican-American planes, which opened the way for them. Without a word they quickly broke through the gap escaping from the Abyssals who were chasing them.

ORP Armaggedon
20 Fleet Command Ship
Bridge
15:01

The battle, which not so long ago was dying out with the fall of the Sirens' base on the nearby island, broke out again when the Abyssals appeared. Fortunately the ships here are designed with a different philosophy and thus have armor and anti-ship missiles as support weapons and the main weapon remains the cannon.

This was for two reasons, the cartridges and cannons are cheaper and simpler to build and to make logistics easier without creating additional costs, so the KANSENs have a constant supply of ammunition with ease. Newly developed technology simply made it easier to mass produce everything and increased the effectiveness of old equipment making missiles not a game changer of naval warfare.

The other thing is that cannons do better against Siren shields, and missiles have trouble attacking humanoid targets that avoid them easily.

The commander, on the other hand, sat on his bridge and looked into a holographic presentation of the battlefield. The Abyssals proved to be a more difficult opponent than anticipated, and their aura caused you to feel a sense of uneasy dread as you fought them. Abyssals were obviously very skilled, and were able to think in battle so as not to get killed. Quite the opposite of Sirens, who had no problem with it. Their small planes were a nuisance for human air forces, because they were difficult to hit.

Fortunately, the firepower displayed by the human ships and the KANSENs easily compensated for their almost zero accuracy, simply firing in such numbers that the enemy had no way to jump back. Clearly the Abyssals were taken aback by the fact that the humans here move in large fleets and have a great love for massive firepower.

The commander calmly gave orders and occasionally ordered severely wounded units to retreat. Unfortunately, in spite of everything, the Abyssals brought with them a huge number.

Even the terrifying barrage of fire that the Humans could send towards them did not lead to a change in the unfavourable ratio of numbers. In particular, the greatest trouble was that the Abyssals could hide underwater and avoid the missiles sent in their direction.

The commander's calm issuing of orders was suddenly interrupted. "Commander 6th Aircraft Carrier Squadron requests to connect with you." said one of the sailors. The commander with a hand gesture ordered a quick connection. After a short moment the symbol of the 6th Squadron lit up in front of the commander's face to indicate who he was talking to. "What is it Ranger?" He asked in a voice that kept everyone calm despite the tense situation. "Commander..." Ranger started but something interrupted her. "...attacked... not Abyss..."

"Ranger can you say that again?" The commander asked wrinkling his eyebrows the only answer he got was "Of fuck... flying!" Suddenly something hit the ship that they felt all the way up here in the bridge, which was hidden in the middle of the superstructure. The experience of the Second Siren War had taught them that building a visible bridge is not a good idea against an enemy that shoots at light speed.

The Commander looked at the Captain in charge of the ship to ask what it was. The Captain quickly addressed it. After a moment, the Commander heard information coming to the Captain.

"Captain, this is Petty Officer Kowalski the thing that hit the ship is the Akagi, something threw her with great force and made her break through the armor of the superstructure. She is in a deplorable condition." Suddenly the tone changed "What the fuck is that?" Suddenly they heard loud screams of people and a woman laughing. Then they heard the firing of guns and the ship's cannon? When they heard a burst of gunfire the latter suddenly felt the ship vibrate.

The Commander seeing what was happening nodded to his Captain and then to Belfast who was his second in command and then left the bridge. His deputies quickly understood the hint and took over his role. The Commander incredibly quickly ran to the armory near the bridge where he opened his locker. He then quickly pulled off his uniform revealing that he was wearing a black armored bodysuit under it. He then began to put on the tattered red armor at a rapid pace. After a few minutes he had only his helmet to put on.

"I think I broke my own record in putting it on." He muttered and then picked up his tattered helmet and put it on his head turning on the armor systems. Then he pulled out his weapons from the locker. The first was a black bulldup rifle with a blue display showing 00 on it. The number changed to 32 when he put the magazine in the back of the weapon and set the lock forward. The second weapon was a large grey pistol which he magnetically attached to his hip after loading. The last thing was the grenades which he hid in the pouches on his belt.

Then he carefully closed the locker and rushed with superhuman speed in the direction of the sounds of battle. He quickly reached a large room where, as he saw on the motion detector, an uneven fight was taking place in which one red dot was massacring a whole bunch of yellows. Without waiting for an invitation he treated the armored door with a kick sending it forward a few meters into the room.

He then saw who was massacring his sailors. It was a blue haired woman with horns of metal that were on the sides of her head. She had one eye covered with a blindfold and in her right hand she held a long sword dripping with the blood of the slain sailors. He could clearly see Akagi's fear on her face as she looked at the woman. "A new bag of meat has arrived." she said frantically, and the commander saw that the woman had the color of Sirens' eyes.

The woman tilted her head "Only something strangely armored." Then she threw herself at the commander and he opened fire with his rifle in her direction.

She sustained wounds but nevertheless ran on to then strike the commander with her sword with great speed and power. Before she knew it the commander had escaped her from the path of the sword and then surprised her with a solid blow to the solar plexus taking her breath away for a moment. For a moment she thought he was going to break the equivalent of a human sternum in her body.

After regaining her breath, she asked "Who are you?!" the commander calmly replied "What the Covenant called the Demon."
