Earth Chan was putting on her shoes ready to go out, only she didn't seem as well as usual, her sister Moon Chan looked at her with concern from behind her. "Are you okay sister?" Earth Chan turned her head back to her sister, her hair was dishevelled, her face pale, haggard, her eyes tired and glassy and she seemed to be short of breath.
"Don't worry about me Moon Chan, I'm fine, really, I am." However as soon as she stood up she seemed to lose all sense of balance, her wobbly legs giving way, causing the planet to fall and crash head first into the door before slumping down onto the floor, unconscious. Moon Chan quickly ran to her sister's side.
"Earth Chan?" she shook her sister gently "Earth Chan?" she shook harder, but there was still no response "EARTH CHAN!"
Sun-sei was talking with a doctor in a hallway of a hospital ward. "So what is it doctor?" The doctor fiddled with his glasses before giving his verdict.
"Well, because of her infection it has left her open to other forms of disease, we believe that she might have caught *oronavirus"
"Will she survive?"
"It's… hard to say. If you'll excuse me, I have other patients to attend to."
"Is she allowed visitors?"
"No I'm afraid not, it's too risky, I any other celestial body comes into contact with this it could be devastating." Sun-sei just gave a small hmm and stared blankly at a wall.
Earth Chan slowly opened her eyes everything suddenly becoming a hundred times brighter, her whole vision becoming white, until she eventually could make out the ceiling and the surrounding objects in the room she was in. She turned her head to one side, seeing a figure in a white hazmat suit looking over her. "Oh thank the lucky stars, you're okay!" It took Earth Chan a while to figure out who was under the hazmat, the visor being fogged up and her words being muffled by the suit, but based on her height, (and the size of her chest)…
"s-sun-sei?"
"Yes, it's me Earth Chan" For a while the two of them just stood in silence.
"h-how did you get here?" there was a long silence from Sun-sei.
Ten minutes earlier
"What about if I went in there, alone?"
"I've already said, NO!"
"Please, I'm begging you, I can't let one of my students die alone!" Sun-sei cried.
"No means no, no visitors are allowed!"
"What if I wear a protective suit?"
"For the last time-" Sun-sei collapsed to her knees and lowered her head in a bow.
"Please…just let me be by her side…I'll take any responsibility for this…"
"…I managed to pull some strings" Sun-sei said. Earth Chan gave a sigh and turned her head the other way. "what's wrong Earth Chan?"
"Why do you care about me Sun-sei? Everyone in school hates me, just because I have some humans living in my hair, they think I'm disgusting, maybe it would be better if I did die…"
"Don't say that Earth Chan!"
"It's true though!"
"…Why don't you look out of the window?" Earth Chan couldn't see any window on that side of the wall so turned her head the other way, back towards Sun-sei, her vision eventually looking past her and at the window, and what she saw shocked her. On the other side of the glass was the rest of her class: Mercury Chan was waving furiously, a big smile on her face and shouting something, although with the thickness of the glass it was difficult to say what, her cousin Mars Chan had one hand over her throat and gave a small smile, a flow of tears running down her face, her other cousin Venus Chan was also present, and for once she didn't have a brand new phone in her hand, or any phone at all for that matter, she might have been looking away from her, but the occasional glances that she gave towards her showed that she cared for her, and lastly, just about able to peek over the bottom of the window, a teary eyed Moon Chan, her little sister bursting into tears and disappearing from the window before Venus Chan picked her up to get a better view. "You see Earth Chan they all care about you." Sun-sei stroked Earth Chan's hair "And when you get out of here, I want you to be better than ever, okay?" Earth Chan gave a big smile,
"Yes, I will, Sun-sei!"
