So most people make Lily Evans a prefect that always follows the rules, sort of like Hermione, but I always thought of her as a little bit of a rebel prefect (not like the marauders or the Weasley twins), so I'm just putting my thoughts on paper. Also just for this story, Molly Weasley is the same age as Lily, even though she's actually quite a bit older.
Disclaimer: I do not own any (well most) of the characters, as they all belong to J.K. Rowling.

Lily's POV
The way he looked at me made me want to scream in frustration. I was trying to do my homework, but he would stop staring at me. James Potter was surrounded by his friends, Sirius Black, Peter Pettigrew, and Remus Lupin, with his hazel eyes transfixed on me. Occasionally I glanced up, hoping he would realize and look away, but so far, I had no success.
"Earth to Lily!" Alice Prewett called to me. I just realized that I had spaced out staring straight into the fire.
"Sorry Ally. What were you saying?" I asked.
"I was just wondering out loud what the deal with Remus leaving school once a month is. Especially since it's always at the same time of the month."
I knew exactly what was going on with Remus leaving once a month. I recently learnt that he was a werewolf, and was startled at the news, but not scared. After all, he was still the same person. Every full moon that we were at school, I got up super early to help him when he came back.
"Why do you care so much." Marlene Mckinnon asked.
"I just think it's a little strange." Ally said with a shrug. "No big deal."
"Uh huh. Yeah, sure." Gilliana Grey said
Ally blushed and cursed us under her breath.
We all grinned at each other, like we always did when Ally cursed at us, because if we could get happy, optimistic, bubbly Alice Prewett to curse, we could probably do anything.
We all went back to work disregarding the conversation that we just had, and I just barely felt James's gaze leave me when it almost immediately returned.
I slammed my quill down and turned in my seat.
"Can you please stop staring at me, Potter?" I exclaimed. It was getting really annoying now.
"Sorry Evans, but you're too beautiful." He said grinning. I felt myself blushing and quickly turned away.
"You know he fancies you right?" Molly Prewett said. She hadn't spoken for so long, I nearly forgot she was there.
"Impossible. He did, but he hasn't asked me out since last year, so I think he finally realized that I don't want to go out with a prat like him." I said.
"You really aren't playing nice are you, Lils?" Gilliana asked.
"Nope." I replied.
When we were in second year, we made up nicknames for each other, and refused to call the others by anything but our nicknames. I'm Lils, Marlene is Marly, Alice is Ally, Gilliana is Gigi or Ana, and Molly is just M, because we couldn't think of anything that would sound good.
"Who do you think Head Boy and Girl are going to be?" Marly asked.
"No idea, but I do hope Head Girl is one of us. 'Specially Lily. She's a prefect, so she's got the most chances." Ana said with her breathy high voice.
"Sixth year really ended too quickly. I don't really want to go back home. Petunia's getting married to the Dursley guy, and I'm one of the bridesmaids. Lucky me." I said. My sister Petunia recently met some guy called Vernon Dursley, and he is not a very pleasant guy.
"Well who are the other ones?" Molly asked.
"Some are cousins, but a few of them are Petunia's friends. They hate me almost as much as she does. Except Vivian."
Vivian Fletcher has been mine and Petunia's friend since we were little, and even though she was always more of Petunia's friend, Vivian was always nice to me.

My trunk was packed, and I was wearing a t-shirt and jeans under my Gryffindor robes ready to go home. I took one last look around my Gryffindor dorm room that I shared with my four best friends and entertainment down to breakfast.
"What took so long?" Molly demanded as soon as I sat down.
"I was packing." I said bluntly.
My plate was already filled with pancakes and bacon. I poured some maple syrup and whipped cream on the pancakes and started to eat. Then I noticed Gilliana staring at something. I followed her gaze and landed on James Potter. I snapped my fingers in front of her face and laughed as she realized what she was doing.
"Don't judge me." She said as a rosey blush creeped onto her face.
"Judge." Marly said.

That's just the end of sixth year. Please review.
