Hello guys, it's Jan Mark Gestuveo. Coming back with a new chapter for you guys to enjoy (I hope). Anyway, today we're looking at William Kirk Johnson, who's the drummer of the band Militia since 1970 and his backstory.

Also, I feel like this one is gonna be a really short one...

Now, I'm not gonna do any more warnings about this. You already know that this is Rated M for a reason.

Feel free to write some reviews in this chapter. It would help me improve my writing skills and this plot.

And without any further ado, here's the backstory of William Kirk Johnson

ENJOY.

SACRAMENTO, CALIFORNIA

Decade: 1940s - 1950s

William Kirk Johnson was born on July 15th, 1948 in Sacramento, California, the oldest son of James Johnson (born: March 30th, 1918) and Amelia Johnson (née. Rackson). He has three younger siblings; Theodore Johnson (born: May 29th, 1953), Leo Johnson (born: August 7th, 1956), and Rebecca Johnson (later Ramos) (born: September 1st, 1958). They're a middle class family. His father works as a construction worker while his mother works as a nurse at a hospital. When he was 7, his parents bought him a drum set. He was a fan of blues artists like Ray Charles, John Lee Hooker, Junior Parker, and Buddy Rich. He practiced for over 30 minutes everyday with the help of a teacher. His teacher was really helpful and overall, a good person. It made not just his drumming skills better but also his rhythm improved a lot. So early on, he joined a lot of blues and jazz bands. He basically started his career as a professional drummer at this point. He was considered a prodigy just like the rest of the members of Militia. He was really popular as well in school due to him being good at drums and also a funny kid. He was also known as the class clown in school as he's always pulling jokes at class. His teachers were so annoyed by him and always got in trouble for it. But, he still had good grades nonetheless.

Decade: 1960s

As he graduated from his elementary school and went to middle school. He was assigned to be in a jazz band called The Schaffer Conservatory. He went in for the audition and he was the last out of the 25 drummers that auditioned for the band. By the time his name called out, he was nervous at first but he eventually became confident. His playing was so good that Edwin Drestic, the leader of the jazz band was amazed by his drum work that he immediately knew this kid had potential. He finally accepted it and he was in. It went on to become one of William Johnson's best moments in his life. For years, he was praised by so many people, including a young girl named Emily Madison Ainsley (born: July 16th, 1949). She was one of William's biggest fans and would later be his girlfriend. His drumming became more and more creative and innovative as time went on. He was also exploring new music horizons like The Beach Boys, Bob Dylan, The Who, Jimi Hendrix, The Rolling Stones and The Beatles. By the late '60s came, he was getting uninterested with all of this jazz and blues as he moved into rock and he was looking into what is the heaviest music possible but it would take until the next decade that his wish become true.

Decade: 1970s

As the new decade came, by June of 1970, he graduated from Sacramento State with a degree in Bachelor of Arts in Music. Also at the same time, he left The Schaffer Conservatory. As much as he had fun playing with the band, he felt like he needed to move on and so he did. He was also discovering new music as well. Two of which in particular were really interesting for him. It was called Led Zeppelin's first self-titled album and Black Sabbath's first self-titled album. He bought it and he knew there was no coming back. He particularly loved how heavy Black Sabbath was, calling them the heaviest band he had ever heard and also he was really impressed by the drummer's (John Bonham) playing style. He learned how to play all of the songs of Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath and it took him days but he eventually got it. He then discovered Deep Purple and went to learn their songs and then he got it. He became big fans of these bands and he even learned some new techniques too.

Then on October 25th, 1970, he found a poster with a number line about hiring a drummer for a new band where it required fans of Led Zeppelin, Black Sabbath and Deep Purple. He called the number and said that he was going in to the audition. The problem was, the audition was taking place in San Francisco and it was far away but he knew he would never let this opportunity slide and he decided to pack his bags, bring his now longtime girlfriend in and move out to San Francisco. It would later be his permanent hometown. He went in for the audition and just like his audition for The Schaffer Conservatory, he was last again but instead of 25, it was only 12. When his name was finally called, he met The Ericson brothers, Ian and James. He did not expect that they would be really tall. He believed that they're around 7 feet but it doesn't matter, they need to do this audition whether or not William's going to fit in. They started the audition and the brothers knew that he fit right in and they knew they found their drummer. Minutes after the audition, they went to William and said that he got the job. He was happy when he found out about it. A day later, they went to audition for lead guitar players, and found Oliver Queen. The band was finally complete and called themselves Militia. They were ready to rule the world with their music.

So there you go, William Kirk Johnson's backstory. From his childhood to his joining Militia. I hope you enjoy this one. I'm sorry if this was a little bit short unlike the first two backstories. If it feels rushed, I'm sorry. The next chapter will be the first chapter of the main plot of this story.

Again, feel free to criticize me on this as this is my first Justice League fanfic. Whether it's my grammar or you just don't like this story. It's fine.

Also a bit of spoilers, in the next few future chapters, you're gonna see a lot of OC X DC Characters here that you may not like. I'm not gonna reveal to you yet...

And as always, I'll see you all in the next chapter where again, it's gonna be the first chapter of the main plot of this story.

THRASH 'TILL DEATH!
