I have been trying to figure out what to start it with and your idea was the best, so thank you!Same goes to Anonymous Noob the 2nd for reminding me that I need to do this!!! Thank you so much!!Y'all are what inspires me to continue doing this!
"Well, it is most certainly not nothing," said Rafiki. "In fact, Fuli has a sprain on her paw. She just needs to stay off of it for a few weeks."
"A few weeks!" Bunga and Fuli shouted at the same time.
"But, that's, like..." Bunga counted on his fingers,"thirty-eight days!"
"Twenty-one, actually," Ono corrected.
"I don't care if it's one day or one hundred days, I can't wait for my leg to heal for however long!" Fuli growled.
"Fuli, please," Kion begged,"we're only trying to help." He gave her a caring, worried look.
"But-" Fuli couldn't hurt Kion. Even if it was to help her. Especially if it was to help her.
Fuli let out a small growl. "Fine," she said. "I'll try to stay off my feet."
"Trying is not good enough," Rafiki told her.
"I said I'll try, but that's all I can promise." Fuli glared at the mandrill.
"Fuli..." Kion was looking at her, but knew that he couldn't persuade her to do much else.
"At least for a few days."
Rafiki looked shocked, but then a look of understanding came over him.
"Ah, Prince Kion..."
Fuli and Kion looked at him and said at the same time,"No."
Rafiki chuckled, but then he became serious again. "Young Fuli, I must advise you to stay off of your paws until you have healed completely."
"And how will we know that I've healed unless I get up to walk around?" Fuli shot back.
It was a good point; Rafiki spent a few moments trying to figure out an answer to it.
After about four minutes he came up with,"We will wait for about a week and then test it."
"I. Am not. A test."
Kion could tell Fuli was trying not to snap.
"We know that you aren't a test, Fuli," Kion said. "Rafiki just meant, we can try to see how your leg is doing in a week or so."
Fuli looked at Kion.
"Okay, but how will I get home?" she asked.
"You can stay here at headquarters until you get better," Beshte offered.
"Yeah, and we can come and visit you any time, too!" Bunga added.
"I'd prefer not to have that happen," Fuli said under her breath.
"What?" Kion asked.
"Nothing."
Kion put a paw on Fuli's shoulder.
"Don't worry; you'll be back on your paws in no time," he said reassuringly.
Fuli sighed. "I know, I'm just worried. I don't want anything to happen if I can't be there."
You are like my family that I never had, she thought.
"Well, I'm worried about you. Just get some rest, and it'll be fine. We're all here when you need us," Kion replied.
"Yeah, no need to worry! After all, I'm here!" Bunga said.
"Yeah, I'm not totally sure that's very reassuring," Ono responded, looking at the honey badger.
Bunga looked questioningly at Ono, but before he could reply there was a shout from outside.
"Sounds like someone needs our help!" Kion said. "Don't worry, Fuli," he continued, looking back at his cheetah friend. "We'll be right back."
And they left.
