Carmen had pretty much lost any motivation to continue any motivation to work out after the argument. So she slunk off to ice her swollen knuckles. She stalked through the compound, trying to fight off her headache that was just starting to fade. She was in the kitchen, pressing an ice pack to her knuckles, when Gray found her.
"Carmen?"
"Hey, Gray."
"Carmen, it's pretty late."
"Yeah, just getting some ice."
"Ice?"
Carmen showed Gray her swollen knuckles.
"Crikey, Carmen!" Gray pressed the ice pack back onto her knuckles. He held it there for a bit, before speaking, "Are you okay?"
"Well, it's a little swollen, but it should be okay"
"That's not what I meant."
She didn't say anything, just taking a moment to sigh through her nose.
"Carmen?"
"Sorry, headache," Carmen explained, "I got into an argument with Ivy."
"Oh. What about?"
"She doesn't understand." She said simply, "She doesn't like you much."
"I noticed," Gray states with a bit of a chuckle, to which Carmen joined in.
There was a moment of quiet as Gray continued to hold Carmen's hand.
"What do you remember?"
A pause, then, "I don't know."
"I think we should talk about it, but maybe not now."
"Yeah, not now."
Gray hesitated before he placed a kiss on her forehead, "You should go to bed."
A/N:
I wanna start out by saying I'm sorry for the wait. I've been really busy with school that finished just last Thursday. Life has been kicking my ass lately. Things aren't great right now, and they'll get worse before they get better, but hey, at least I have more time to write fanfiction. Sorry, again. And thanks to Wavecolor127 and tehe12345, seeing your reviews gave me the motivation to write again. :)
Thank you for your patience.
