Part oneChapter one: The birth of a hero

It all began one quiet clear night, in a small mountain town called Meacham, Utah. Where a small fire station resided. There parked inside the fire station were two fire engines. They were husband and wife.

The wife, so elegantly named Rosita was laying on the floor about to give birth to their baby. The husband, named Blaze stood and watched over his wife attentively, comforting her to the best of his ability.

She laid there panting and wincing as she felt the pain intensifying. Blaze took and held Rosita's front tire.

"You're gonna be okay" Blaze reassured her while kissing her tire.

Though in pain, she smiled at him while preparing to give her first push. Blaze held her tire, giving her more comfort and encouragement. Rosita then took a deep breath and gave her first push. She whined and teared up, feeling the intense pain as she held Blaze's tire, squeezing it.

"There, that's it, you got it! Keep trying!" Blaze encouraged, still holding her tire.

Rosita then took another deep breath, gritting her teeth as she then gave another, harder push. She screamed in pain as she felt the baby getting closer.

"It's okay, it's okay!" He reassured her as he caressed her front tire and then wiped her forehood with a cool damp cloth.

She panted, feeling even more pain as she got ready to push again. Still managing to smile at her lover a little. Then she groaned painfully as she gave an even harder push. Rosita teared up and screamed in pain.

"OW! OW!! OWW!!! He's coming!!" She yelped.

Blaze then drove to her rear end to catch the baby.

"C'mon you got it honey he's almost out!!" Blaze encouraged.

Rosita panted and cried as she gave one last hard determined push. Soon after, the baby came out. Then they heard little coughs followed by the soft cries of their newborn baby. She let out a heavy sigh of relief. "Oohh!"

"It's a boy!!" Blaze exclaimed happily as he began cleaning and drying the baby.

Rosita smiled and finally took a few moments to relax while her husband cleaned their son up. The baby calmed down after a bit.

A few moments later Blaze came back with the newborn baby all wrapped up in a baby blue blanket. The baby being all calm and quiet now.

He smiled and said "He's perfect honey."

Blaze then set him down gently against Rosita. She then picked up and held the baby close, looking down at him, smiling with awe. The baby started blinking as he opened his big, wide brown eyes. The baby looked up at both of them. His eyes full of wonder and curiosity. Rosita cooed as her engine purred.

"Yes, I agree dear." Said Rosita.

She nuzzled her husband affectionately. Blaze's engine purred as he returned an affectionate nuzzle back to his wife. He then laid down next to them.

"What should we call him honey?" Asked Blaze.

"Well… I think we should call him, Red.." Rosita answered.

Blaze thought for a few moments.

"Yeah, Red sounds good. So, Red it is."Blaze agreed.

Rosita smiled happily. She softly nudged Red to her underside. Red started nuzzling around her underside a bit, then latched on to nurse. Rosita's engine still purred.

"...Our little precious Red" she crooned as she rested her hood on a pillow while softly and slowly closing her eyes. Still keeping an eye on Red.

Blaze smiled proudly down at his wife and newborn son. He then got up to turn the light off. Soon after, he drove back over to them, then laid back down next to Rosita and soon fell asleep with them.
