Hey, everyone! It's been a while. Let me start of by saying that I've recently been in touch with fanfics again ever since I discovered leecheedoodles on instagram (go check her out!). She has amazing fan art and she inspired me to reread old fanfics and now to actually edit my stories. Now, this will be the first since I have a solid story in my mind already. For the rest, I'll be editing them and making them better in due time!
That's all for now, I hope you'd stick with story till the end and go back for my other stories.
xx
Prologue
She was always known to be the Joy and the Laughter. The kind and innocent Powerpuff.
These thoughts are all Bubbles has been repeating in her head as she sits down fidgeting the ends of her dress. Her eyes dart back and forth scanning the people hurrying around for the last minute decorations and preparations. Everything must be perfect, she hears a lady speaking into her headset microphone. Bubbles gets up from her seat, too nervous to hold anything together. She does one more quick glance at the room before she closes the door behind her.
The room had a beautiful chandelier in the center of the ceiling. Flowers, white roses to be exact, decorated the pews and aisle like a beautiful enchanted pathway leading to a happily ever after. The choir that was hired was warming up their vocals for later. Heck, doves were even stationed to be release once the grand kiss would take place.
Bubbles shut her eyes and closed the door behind her, careful not to make a sound. She pulls her summer hat forward, covering her eyes. I can't be noticed. I shouldn't be noticed, she thinks. Bubbles debated which hallway she would take, left or right? After a quick sigh she chose to go left. Most of the doors that she passed were closed, and she was too afraid to open them. She couldn't get caught, not now. There was one more door at the end of the hallway aside from the big double door that led out of the building. This door, she notices, was slightly open. She carefully leans in, hoping she wouldn't make the door or the floor creak.
"Bloss, do we have to go through with this?" Bubbles eyes widened as she placed her hand over her mouth to hide her gasp. She wanted to jump in an take in her sisters in a hug, but she had to wait and see if they were really the only people in the room.
"Buttercup, we have no choice. You know we can't say no to the Mayor."
Buttercup snorted. "The only reason why the Mayor even wants us here is because this 'assures' people that there isn't any bad blood left."
Blossom sighed. "I know, and it's absolutely ridiculous since Bubbles isn't allowed to be here."
"Girls!" Bubbles cried as she burst into the room and immediately grabbed her sisters in a hug. She was trying so hard to hold back tears. "I'm here!"
Her sisters were shocked. "Bubbles?! Wha- I don't-" Blossom started. Bubbles pulled away and looked at her sisters. It's been months since they last saw each other.
"When the hell did you get back to Townsville?!" Buttercup asked.
Bubbles lived all the way in other side of the country. She was the only one of her sister's to choose an out of state college. Although none of them stayed in the city of Townsville for college, Blossom and Buttercup both chose colleges that were still within the state. Bubbles took a long shot with choosing the university with the best music undergraduate program. It wasn't her only option, but when she found out she got in, she took it. That meant she'd be miles away from her sisters and the Professor for most of the year and she'd be hours behind in their time zone. She went anyway. This also, in a way, proved to everyone she wasn't just the Powerpuff baby everyone thought she was.
She can handle herself. Her family knew that, but most people didn't. It was because of her sweet and bubbly personality that people often mistake as fragile. She was far from a fragile girl. Currently, they were all in their second year of college, and Bubbles was supposed to be back 2 weeks from now.
"I took my finals early." Bubbles said. "My professor agreed since my marks were high throughout the whole year. I'm not even taking some of my finals."
Blossoms eyebrows shot up. "I'm quite impressed, Bubs." She beamed at Bubbles, but it instantly faded away as she realized the situation. She gave Bubbles a serious look. "Bubbles, what are you doing here?"
"Yeah Bubs, you know you can't be here." Buttercup said.
Bubbles looked at both of them, she can feel her eyes starting to water. She had a hard time trying to open up when Buttercup started. "Holy shit I know why you're here."
Bubbles closed her eyes and sighed. She looked back at Buttercup, hopeful that she got it right. She really didn't want to start.
"You're gonna stop the wedding, aren't you?"
And that's it! Short, but sweet. I wanted to see if this would work well. I will be updating the first real chapter quite soon. I'd love to hear your reviews! Thanks, guys xx
