Original characters
1. Jack Simpson: Jack is starting 9th grade right when his father, Snake is becoming the principal. In addition to that, he deals with major girl drama and struggling to maintain his spot of the football team. Jack is a sweat, smart, but headstrong guy. How far will Jack go to get what he wants.
2. Angela Jeremiah: Angela is living in a world where she can't control everything around her. First she is forced to give up her Queen Bee title at her elite private school and start her grade 9 year at Degrassi, she becomes entangled in a feud with the Queen Bee of Degrassi, her father, Joey starts dating again, and the guy she gave her virginity to won't talk to her. How will a person who is used to getting their way, gain control again?
3. Maya Matlin: A member of the popular clique and best friend to Zoe Rivas, Maya is excited about her freshman year. Maya is the sweetest of the clique, but uses her alpha girl status when needed. Maya has a huge voice, but is sometimes afraid to use it because she is used to being in Zoe's shadow. However, when Maya discovers a secret that she didn't know she had, her perspctive on life changes forever.
4. Zoe Rivas: The most popular girl in the class of 2024. With her two besties by her side, her popular boyfriend Jack, and her position as the head cheerleader for the junior varsity team, Zoe is determined to make this year her year. However, one mistake will change her life forever.
5. Zig Novak: A troublesome kid who gets involved with at least three of the ladies in this story. Zig however, finds himself attached to a girl who is more trouble than he is. He tends to live his life on the reckless side, but one incident will teach him how to take life more seriously.
6. Becky Baker(sophomore): A christian student who can often be judgemental when trying to project her views on people. She's excited to start the year with her best friend, Imogen. However, she has one major mission- to get a boyfriend. Will her search for Mr. Right be a lot more than she bargained for?
7. Imogen Moreno (sophomore): Quirky Imogen is excited for sophomore year. However, family issues will derail that. Soon, Imogen will face the most difficult decision of her life , one that questions her integrity.
New Characters
St. George: Zoe and Maya's BFF that wants to desperatly get out of Zoe's shadow and often competes with Maya to be Zoe's sole bestie. Margaux is Zoe's co-captain this year and also a straight A student. However, will all of the pressures of being perfect and keeping her Alpha girl status be too much for Margaux?
9. Justin Ivers: Jack's best friend. Jack is also a member of a football team. Jack is a wise guy, a sometimes a bit of a jerk, but he is loyal when you need him.
10. Kevin Olson: Zig's best friend who is involved with drug dealing.
11. Molly Graham: Is a troubled girl who was recently expelled from her previous school and is forced to repeat the ninth grade at Degrassi. She is often a tough chick who tells it like it is, but means well. Molly just wants to find her place at Degrassi so she often lies about her life to keep people around her. However, the secret Molly is keeping will eventually become too big to hide. Will Molly's fresh start at Degrassi be ruined already?
