Chapter 7

Virgil POV:

"Kid, just listen to me. I know about these things." Henry pleaded, as I had him sat down against a tree, and switching his handcuff to the back. I ignored him to continue attaching him to the tree. I could see the top of the Slender Mansion Henry had mentioned. "Kid, listen to me!" The man demanded.

"Oh, shut up." I sighed, annoyingly. Rechecking my ammo, since I took all of Henry's. "Just tell me how many Creepypasta bastards am I going to be dealing with." I asked, wanting information. Being the soldier that had been walking in these woods. He had to know more than Aaron. Aaron information had been secondhand.

"We are unsure." Henry grunted, annoyed at me. "There could be several. Hundreds even. These are not people, kid! These are monsters!"

I rolled my eyes. Monsters. Henry and those other people walking around in white armor reminded me of one of those people who would call anyone who was different, a monster. I just need this guy for his knowledge and his info. Now that I knew where Aaron was and had the extra ammo, I didn't need this stranger anymore. "Good." I said, after reloading. "Then their just like me." I didn't look back as I walked away.

"You're crazy, kid if you think you stand a chance. Your friend is dead." Henry shouted.

"Tch." I scoffed as I heard his last desperate shout. He was dressed like a soldier, odds were he had a GPS on him somewhere. I just needed to get Aaron before we were caught in a crossfire. I shook my head. What the hell was I thinking? Me and that idiot just needed to leave period. All this bullshit.

I circled the large building, once trying to find an entry point. Wouldn't be the first time. I didn't want to cause any noise when entering. Around the back I found an open window on the second floor. It wasn't wide open, but I could work with that. There was a terrace near the window with dead looking vinery. Climbing it wasn't really any trouble at least, it didn't use to until I started having trouble with eating. Now it was like I was just struggling to breath, by the time I made it to the window, and opened it up wider so I could slip through. Really I ended up just letting myself roll to the floor catching my breath before making myself stand back up. I rubbed at my shoulders trying to get the ache out of them as I looked around the room.

The room was decorated like a little girls room and as soon as I made eye contact with three different faces; one being a little girl and the other two being two guys, the little brown haired girl let out a short startled yelp, grabbing onto the closest guy. "Levi! That's him! He's the one who shot Mr. D!" She shouted pointing an accusing finger at me.

"What? Who the hell is Mr. D?" I snapped at the strangers, eyeing the third boy that was in a wheelchair.

"Her teddy bear. Are you E.J.'s prey?" The guy; Levi asked casually. A friendly smile on his face. One I didn't return.

"No, my friend is the one he took. I'm here to get him back. Tell me where I can find him and I probably won't shoot." I demanded, ignoring the teddy bear answer, pointing my gun in their direction.

Levi put his hand up in the air. "Whoa, dude, chill I'm human and so is Adam." He paused for a minute to look down at the little girl. "Her not so much." He added.

My eyes locked onto the little girl, she looked harmless, but if she wasn't human, then that probably meant that just like the eyeless freak, she wouldn't be too fazed with bullets. "I know enough to know firearms don't really work, but you on the other hand." I moved to aim the gun at Levi's the self proclaimed human's head.

He chuckled nervously. "And you'd be correct in a way. But I don't think you would want anymore Proxy's hunting you down." He tried.

"Do I look like I care?" I retorted, getting bored with this useless banter. He was making me waste my time.

"No. No you don't." He answered. "Down the stairs, door to the basement in right near the kitchen, you can't miss it. Its the only door they painted red."

I narrowed my eyes as I moved toward the door. Watching as they maneuvered out of my way. All of them, except the catatonic guy in the wheelchair. I didn't give them another thought as I exited, besides quickly shoving the nearest heaviest object in front of the door, so they couldn't get out and alert others to my presence in the mansion.

I ran down the stairs two a time on the toes of my feet, trying not to make too much noise. The place seemed empty and way too silent. And yet even though I kept anticipating for a something to pop up around each corner, but nothing did. The whole place made the hair on the back of my neck stand up. I had just made it to the kitchen and spotted the red door, when it opened up quickly but also silently as E.J. came walking out grumbling under his breath a little. The little girl that I was sure that I had trapped in the room up stairs following close behind with a firm pout on her face. I ducked behind the kitchen counter as they passed, not wanting to be seen. Strange they wouldn't look for me down here first considering, I was an unwelcome guest and I had made my goal known in the little girls room. The oddity of this situation put me on even more on edge.

"That bastard better still be alive." I mumbled, slipping past the red door before it closed. It was dimly lit and surprisingly not a lot of stairs. I had at first though a place like this would have had a long flight of stairs, but know just one seven step and it seemed I had made it to the basement. And looking straight ahead I found Aaron illuminated by a big spot light where he laid on a metal table.

He looked alive. The closer I got I found that he wasn't even tied down. What was the idiot doing just laying there?!" "Hey!" I snapped taking his shoulders and shaking him roughly. "This is no time for a nap!" I rolled his arm where I could see the inside near his elbow and found some puncture wounds there. They were small, but it you hang out with people who do the stuff, you know what to look for. "Damn it." I groaned, realizing Aaron was out of commission for the time being, but not at least it looked like he still had all his organs with him.

(E.J's POV)

I finally had him. My little scared prey. Stupid little thing actually ran right to the mansion and it was only the matter of cornering him, to administer a mild sedative to make hi easy to transport to the basement and lay him on the old metal dissection table that we had set up there. Something to just help catch all the blood that usually came when I or Nurse Ann brought prey home. And this one was Prime product. "Mmm, I can't wait to taste your kidney." I said, to the drowsy boy. He blinked his bleary eyes at me. The sedative that I gave him not strong enough to truly knock him out. No, I didn't want him asleep when I cut into him. I wanted the sweet delicious fear too, I wanted to see it, in the only way I could see fear.

"Jack!" Sally's voice cut through the silence of the basement and my concentration.

"What?! I'm trying to harvest my dinner here." I snapped, tired of getting interrupting.

"That rotting prey came into my room and locked my door. Levi and Adam are stuck." She said, stomping her feet.

I blinked, not that anyone could see since I still had my mask on. So, Takeout was in the mansion. Now wasn't that interesting. I wonder how he found us? "Fine." I smiled. He would trying to find his little friend. Well, I'll reward his effort and let him find him. In fact, maybe I can have a little fun with the pest that have been running around lately too. "I'll help you, then I need to see Slendy. I have a game I want to play with Takeout. Since he seems dead set on making a nuisance of himself." I told her as we walked.

I spotted the top of Takeout's head ducking behind the kitchen counter, when we passed and shushed Sally quietly so he would not be alerted. "We must move Adam and Levi to the safe room until Masky and Hoodie come to collect them. You will stay with them, Sally." I instructed as we walked up the stairs.

I was going to let the pest enter our sacred home. But first I had to call for Slendy and the rest to get here asap to let them all in on the plan. We would mar k the ones who dare enter and hunt them all down one by one. Takeout better enjoy his reward. It was going to be his last.

(3rd Person POV:)

A group of soldiers were gathered around the tree, releasing their captured comrade; Henry. As soon as the soldier was free, a new com was handed to him. The man went stalk still as soon as he heard the voice in the speaker. "I want a status report now! And an explanation on why you were spared!" was the demand. "These monsters do not spare anyone!"

"Sir! I was captured by a kid." Henry admitted immediately. His fellow comrades did not laugh at the information; for most of these monster seem to resemble young adult and children. "He didn't seem like the others that roam these woods. I suspect he is indeed human and is the same child you had once offered to the entity known as Eyeless Jack."

"Virgil." Was the name utter from the com. "Kill him. Storm the Mansion and bring me the entity's chosen sacrifice!" Was the order given.

"Yes sir!" All the soldiers answered and at once began to charge for the building in perfect military silence.

(Virgil's POV)

I was constantly trying to wake Aaron up, resulting to finally giving him one good slap across the face, that seem to do the trick a little bit. He started to blink his eyes open slightly which was better than dead ass asleep. "Virgy!~" He yawn, as I sat him up. He grabbed my face with both hands. "Your eyes are pretty." He smiled sleepily.

I scowled. What the hell?! He was high as a kite! "Get a hold of yourself asshole!" I snapped, trying to get him to steady his footing, so we could get moving. How the hell was I going to get him up the stairs?

"I love! You, when you act like you don't care. Sooooo sstrong!~" He giggled. "Myyyy heroooo.~"

I groaned and look to the heavens for help. Maybe in another world in another life. But in this life, not a chance. I shouldn't even be near him. "Pull yourself together, dipshit. This isn't the time for your nonsense." I reasoned. Of course, he wasn't any help. He seemed to find great amusement trying to play with my hair as I tried to encourage him to take a step up the stairs. He somehow took that as an invite to climb himself on my back, so I ended up piggybacking his heavy ass up the stairs. And thank whoever was listening that the door actually opened back up.

"I'm soooo sleepy." Aaron mumbled into the back of my neck.

I groaned. I was going to have to carry him. I was going to have to carry all the way to safety like some fairy-tale damsel in distress. How was this my life?

I hadn't even taken a step when the windows and front door seem to explode open, accompanied by a lot of yelling that just made my head hurt.

"ON THE GROUND! NOW!"

"PUT HIM DOWN AND GET ON THE GROUND!"

"HANDS BEHIND YOUR BACK!"

All this was shouted at me all at once whiles other soldier in white began running through the place, kicking in doors and the such. I was roughly pushed to the ground. With Aaron weighing me down it was hardly any way for me to resist. I did maneuver him to where he was underneath me as a way to keep them from taking him from for the moment. Someone came and placed their foot on my back, adding pressure, as they stripped away my guns and ammo. "We said on the ground, fucker!" I immediately recognized Henry's voice.

"I don't take order from anyone, bastard." I gritted out trying to keep myself just off of Aaron's prone form, as I looked to the side where I could see the soldier better. "I should have shot you when I had the chance" I growled. What the hell was wrong with these guys?

"Should of, would of, could of, kid. It wouldn't have done you any good in the end anyway." Henry said, pointing a gun at my head. "Might wanna close your eyes for this kid, it'll make it easier." He suggested.

"For me, or for you." I asked, looking him dead in the eyes.

Henry seemed to falter a little bit, only to harden again and prepared to pulled the trigger. "Brave bastard." Henry smirked.

"Hold it!"

We all looked to the new voice as a slash of golden lights attached themselves to everyone in the room, except for me and Aaron. There were suddenly more bodies in the room, soldiers and different creature and entities it seemed. Either that or Halloween came early.

"The hell, we're surrounded." A soldier grunted, voice sounding stain.

I couldn't spot Eyeless Jack anywhere in the mass of Halloween characters, so I returned mu attention back to the matter at hand. Going by the fact I wasn't being touched by the golden stings, I took decided that that meant I was free to leave with Aaron. So, when more soldiers came running into the building and opening fire, I used those few distracted moments to crawl me and Aaron out of the mansion. Stopping only a few feet from the door, only because of a pair of legs that belong to the girl with the clock for one of her eyes standing in my path.

"Going somewhere little worm." She asked with her forever smile. "E,J, seems to like playing with you. But if you really want to make him mad, how about you follow me. I know a great way to making him mad." She promised already walking away, not even fazed by all the shooting coming from inside the mansion behind us. "Unless you want to face them without a weapon, little worm." She called behind here when I did not get up to follow.

But she did have a point, I didn't have my gun anymore. So, hefting Aaron back up on my back again. I begrudgingly followed her. Mentally, I made a note to cut back the amount of food Aaron eats at my place, because he was heavy, and where the weight was coming from, because last I checked this guy's parents had him meet a personal trainer every morning. It had to be muscle either that, or there really was something seriously wrong with me. But then I already knew that. Aaron moan in sleepily against my shoulder, and without thought I found myself patting his head, before quickly aborting the action.

"Careful." The girl said, in a dark tone. "You'll give us something to use against you." She warned with a smile clear in her voice, kicking the dirt a little as she turned to face us. "We're here."

I glanced around quickly not wanting to take my eyes off her for too long. She hadn't led us anywhere except down a beaten path. "What the hell?! I thought you were going to lead us somewhere, not just a few yard away." I growled out. I was sick of all this bullshit.

She tilted her head, the smile on her face widening. "But I did."

"Clockwork!" I cursed as the familiar voice sounded behind me. It was that Eyeless Jack guy again. "That's my prey." He stated.

"Yeah, but its attached to an interesting worm, E.J. You don't usually like spoiled product." She countered happily, straightening her stance a little, but still casual.

I turned and backed up a little so I could keep them both within my line of vision.

"Slendy called everyone to the mansion." The masked Eyeless entity stated.

"Ha! And since when do I listen to the Slenderman." The girl; Clockwork said, sounding a little excited. "Beside I like doing things my way. It makes the hunting more fun."

"You two are nuts." I scoffed, adjusting my hold on Aaron who was sleepily humming a catchy tune, that I didn't recognize, before freezing when his eyes landed on Eyeless Jack.

"The cannibal." He murmured, twisting my shirt a little as he grabbed and handful of it. "Virgey! Monster! Its the cannibal!" He tried to shriek, but it just came out slurry.

"It was my game. Slenderman has agree to it." Eyeless Jack said, flipping a scalpel like knife in the air and catching it.

I was slowly backing me and Aaron up and away from the two as the bickered. It was almost like they didn't care if we got away. Considering how fast it was I ran into one of these weirdos, they had reason to be confident.

"Its a stupid game." Clockwork laughed.

"And where do you think your going Takeout?" Eyeless Jack asked, gleefully, throwing his scalpel at us.

I turned to the side to ready to run and to make sure Aaron was out of the line of fire, which ended with the blade sticking into my side. I would like to say I am tough enough to not have made a noise, but come on, no one is that tough, not even me. A shout of pain left me as a commotion behind seemed to take place. I found Eyeless Jack being shoved against me and Aaron sending us toppling down a drop off that just seemed to magically appeared behind us, as if we were transported. Some how we were lucky enough to land a few feet away from the psycho who was the cause of our predicament. That Clockworks laughter echoing above us as it vanished in the wind.

I blinked my eyes open, having had closed them during the fall, to see Aaron's unconscious face, and behind him, Eyeless Jack who was already getting to his feet. I tried to move, and do the same but dropped right back to the ground, hands going to the blade stuck in my side. More Soldiers in white seemed to come out of no where, sending the eyeless freak running. The sound of casual sounding footsteps, had me turning my head in time to get kicked in the face. Making black dots dance in my vision.

"So, he did run to you. No matter. Trash like you, don't deserve to breath." A man's voice grunted out, but I almost didn't hear him as I tried to fight to keep my eyes open, and from the world around me that was beginning to fade.

(Eyeless Jack's POV)

The game would be simple. We would let the pests in, to take them all out in one go. Takeout and my dinner would be the bait. While the others took care of the pest, I would take care of Takeout and reclaim my prize. Bringing our little game to an end. I stayed silent after relaying this to Slendy, who and everyone else was standing with me in the center of the upstairs study was listening. Slendy had already given the go ahead. He knew that when we Proxy's got bored we liked playing with our prey and have some delicious fun with it. It made the fear that much more delicious.

Takeout didn't fall into any of that category. He was his own mystery. I only know of one time when prey wanted to kill one of their own, and I awoke. It was my origin of how I come to be. Takeout, and I, or should I say us Proxy's shared the same enemies and that was just so interesting. I couldn't help myself but to play with this puzzle before me.

Despite everyone saying, there was no promises to them not stealing my prey, I merely shrugged it off. Takeout would keep my prey with him. This time when I catch them again. I would so politely invite him into eating his friends organ with me and maybe put an end to our catch and release game. Chaos erupted in the mansion minutes later and watched from the shadows as Takeout made it outside. And growled annoyed when Clockwork showed up. She never played by the rules. She was leading my Takeout away. That was not part of the game. She was to be in the mansion with the others. I followed behind them, know Clockwork knew I was there. Takeout was smart, I could see he was keeping his distance, keeping himself and my prey far enough away from here that she wouldn't be able to strike and steal them from me. She was leading them to a path that would take them to her domain, wherever that was. I tended to stay away from her. Not the type of Proxy I wanted to be around. But the neither was Laughing Jack.

"Clockwork! That's my prey!" I called out when I notice her shift her stance, a signal that meant she was almost ready to strike, something that Takeout wouldn't notice. Stepping out and showing myself. Takeout backed himself up to where he could see us both, a smart yet stupid choice on his part, as I felt Clockwork already gathering up energy for a transportation.

"Yeah, but its attached to an interesting worm, E.J. You don't usually like spoiled product." She counter in a happily tune, turning her stance a little more casual to mask her original intentions. But she knew I meant both were mine.

"Slendy called everyone back to the mansion." I stated. It wasn't a lie. He had, for there were pest now to clean up.
"Ha! And since when do I listen to the Slenderman."She asked, proud of her continuous rebellion against the one she owed her life. "Besides, I like doing things my way. It makes thing more fun."

I had eyes I would have probably rolled them. She sounded like such an ungrateful child sometimes. Its no wonder Ticci Toby was her only friend.

"You two are nuts." Takeout scoffed, and oh, but that bravery that he had. Or was it just the lack to self preservation that just rolled off him.

""The cannibal. Virgey! Monster! Its the cannibal!" my intended prey tried to shriek, but its voice slurred thanks to the drugs I had in his system.

"It was my game. Slenderman has agree to it." I said, coolly, flipping my scalpel in my hand and catching it. Although the only reason he agreed so fast was to kill all those pest in one go. Or at least a majority of them.

"Its a stupid game." Clockwork laughed.

I noticed Takeout trying to make a silent getaway thinking my attention was solely on Clockwork. Oh , how sadly he was mistaken, to underestimate a Proxy.

"And where do you think your going Takeout?"I asked, giving him me full attention, and trowing my scalpel with precise precision, the scent of spoiled blood filling my nose. He really wouldn't be any good to eat. Not even for fear.

As he was doubled over in pain, I made my way over to him, intending to take my blade back, while I ripped my scalpel from his side and clean it of his spoiled and rotten blood. That was when she did the unthinkable and pushed not only me but Takeout and my prey of a drop off, and right into the camp of the pests we have been trying to eradicate for years now. So, that was why she was taking her time in transporting us. The bitch had set a trap for the three of us. I had to leave my weapon in Takeout as I made a run for it. Not to leave, because that would just be stupid. And I would have missed seeing Takeout get his face kicked in, by someone who should have been dead. That just added another element to this puzzle. Someone must have saved him. No matter. Four kidneys were better than two anyway. They loaded Takeout and his friend into a van, driving not to get out of these woods, because they never would now. But to a little home base they seemed to have made in our woods.

"Stupid, pests." I smiled. As I sent a signal out for Slenderman. This was going to be so fun. So many pests and prey were going to die today and refill my pantry and jars.
