Wow so this is my first story on this site and i am beyond excited to write this.

Chapter 1

Steadily I made my way down the dark winding highway headed towards Mystic Falls an unknown town for a stranger like myself, a fresh start after a failed attempt at a new life in the 100 towns before..If only I knew that the little quaint town held dark secrets of it's own.

I had really hoped that the town before would have been a permanent home for myself until they showed up again tearing my life apart and almost succeeding in finally killing me for what seemed like the billionth time, I had torn out of town like a bat out of hell, leaving only a bloody trail behind me.

Finally entering the small town I rubbed the sleep that was threatening to take over from my eyes, only to look back up to see something or someone standing in the road swerving to avoid hitting whatever it was I punched the gas and sped away leaving it behind finally coming into town.

I slammed on the breaks and jumped out of the car making my way into a bar called Mystic grill , I looked over my shoulder one last time before going in. taking a seat in a booth at the back of the cafe, I pluck a menu from a holder and look through it, absentmindedly.. Until I realize someone had come over to my table

A younger man, He couldn't have been more then 17 stood there, pen and pad in hand, He wore blue jeans and a navy blue shirt with the words Mystic Grill sprawled over the front. I smile, though it was fake.

"Hey there, My name is Matt, Is there something I can get for you tonight?" He asks, he had a deep tone, which oddly enough suited him.. He definitely looked like the althletic type.

Pretending to look through the menu again, I look back at him "Hmm, Can I just get a burger and a coke please?" I ask him, tilting my head.

He smiles, at least he had a pretty smile, "Sure thing... Are you new to the area? I don't think I've seen you around, and trust me a face like yours wouldn't be hard to miss" he asks me, another bright smile.

mentally rolling my eyes, I nod "Yes, I actually just got into town tonight" I say to him, folding my hands I fidget with the silver ring on my index finger.

"Well, Welcome to Mystic Falls.." he trails off, clearly waiting on me to tell him my name.

"OH! My name is Noelle, Noelle Bellamy" I say, blushing I felt stupid for not realizing I hadn't told him my name.

"Well, Noelle welcome to Mystic Falls, My name is Matt Donovan" He says offering me his hand, to which I shake it,

After he walks away, I ponder my thoughts "Just what the hell was that in the road.. It couldn't possibly be them.." I say to myself, though I didn't beileve my own words.

Just as My food comes out I eat quickly and leave the grill waving to Matt before I leave, Making my way back to my car I sigh as I get in laying my head on the steering wheel. Before starting the car up and pulling away from the curb I make my way to the house one of the closets people to me gave me, just before she had her heart torn out by the monsters chasing me.

~Flash back~

"Oh Kat I can't take this from you.." I say to her with tears in my eyes.

"You must, it might be the only home you will ever need you could start new there and finally have the life you want away from all the chaos and death" she says to me smiling sweetly

"Somewhere where you can flourish and become the woman I know you can be My sweetest friend, I have known you for what seems like forever I only hope you continue to keep your will to live and never let it go.. Promise me you will never give up." she says to me crying out in pain as she lifts herself up to me.

"I promise no matter what happens I will never ever give up." I say smiling sadly at her

"Thank you for all of the kindness and love you have shown me my friend.." I don't get to finish my words as the light fades from her eyes, a pale hand juts through her chest.

~end flash back~

I keep looking ahead as tears roll down my face I finally make it up to the house she gave me, 4226 Maple drive a dark iron fence stands menacingly guarding the house.

Pulling the gate open after unlocking the huge padlock off the front, I drive up to the front door and gasp, the mansion is huge and most breath-taking , large vine covered windows and walls, the paint on the house was chipped but strangely it made the house look homely..I unlock the door and step inside the house, thankfully is in my name and as long as I'm alive no creatures can get in unwelcomed.. I make my way up stairs and promptly fall into a deep dreamless sleep.

I awake the next morning making my way to the high school to register for classes pulling into the school parking lot I check my make-up and hair just to make sure I don't look like a creep and get out making my way to the office,

"Um excuse me.." I start asking a tall dark-haired girl, noting she looked familiar from the back.. it was strange.

"yeah?" she asks me turning around, doe brown eyes stare back at me.

I do a double take "Katherine?…" I ask a horrified look on my face, backing away slowly.

"No.. My name is Elena, how do you know Katherine?" she asks me suspiciously, her eyes narrow.

"I know her because the bitch has ruined my life multiple times over.." I bark and then turn from her.

"hey, I didn't mean to upset you I was just curious because she's been tormenting me and my friends as well" she says, I turn back to her noting how she looked different from katherine, straight brown hair that hung to her chest and her attire was totally different, plus katherine had a pension for being snarky even when acting.

I look a her and sigh, "No I'm sorry Katherine is just a touchy subject.. because she's not only been in my life but the man chasing her is also hunting me now, say's there's something special about my bloodline and apparently I'm the last of my kind" I finish and shake my head, I was honestly over the whole fiasco..

"Wait... does this man happen to be Klaus mikaelson?" she asks, rasing her perfect eyebrows

I nod "How-How do you know about him?" I ask her.

"I won't let anything happen to you.. How about you come by the Salvatore boarding house after school and we can talk about everything.", She says to me, not answering my question.

"Sure, I'll see you after school Elena" I say, offering a weary smile to her.

I make my way into the school the classes drag through the day until my last class history, I meet my new teacher Mr. Saltzman and finally it's time to leave, I see matt in the hallway.

"Hey! Matt!" I yell and he smiles and turns to me shutting his locker.

"hey Noelle" he says, he turns to the dark hair guy next to him.

"Hey Ty, this is Noelle Bellamy, she's new to the area" I smile at the dark haired man, He looks me up and down.

"Hey man I'll catch you later, It's nice to meet you Noelle" Ty says to matt, he nods my way and leaves.

"How was you're first day?" Matt asks shoving his backpack onto his back.

"It was good, a little strange at first but nothing I'm not used to..I'll see you later matt" I say, He waves and I head out to my car.

"Well time to go to the boarding house.." I say and head that way following Elena in her car.

Driving up to the boarding house, I took in the house and front lawn admiring the architecture and design of the beams, whoever lived her definitely had taste.

"This place is amazing!" I exclaim getting out of my car,

"Yeah I'm here most often or at home.. Come on in" Elena says to me, I walk in behind her, slack jawed at how gorgeous the house was.

"Elena?" I hear a man's voice say only to see a tall man with Raven colored hair and ice blue eyes, he stops short and points a finger.. "Francheska?" he says pointing at me and then he's in front of me pinning me to the front door by my throat..

"Damon!" Elena yells, immdiately trying to pry his hand from around my throat.

"Let me GO!" I choke out, kicking at his shins, this man was a vampire..My heartbeat sped up as I thrashed in his grip.

"This.. woman is almost as bad as Katherine!" he growls dark veins showing under his eyes, his grip tightens and I begin to see spots.

"Her name is Noelle! Damon she's human!" Elena yells at him.

Another man throws Damon off of me I fall to the ground choking gasping for air, Looking back up to see a shorter man standing over the first guy, light brown hair and a square jaw..

"what the fuck!" I scream, choking on the floor as Elena stoops down to help me up.

Elena puts her arm around me, the other man looks back at me then to Elena, A look of disgust and fury played on his features.

"Take her to the living room and we'll be right there" he says.

"why did he call me Francheska?' I ask Elena, This was starting to get a little stephen king for me..

"Honestly I'm not sure.." she says, sitting down next to me on the couch.

"Hey Elena? why do you look like Katherine?" I ask her she sighs, I arch a brow.

"Okay, she is my doppelgänger, a shadow self" she tells me, "She is like, an evil copy of me.."

"Oh, that's why she was ranting on about a girl who looked exactly like her.." I say looking down at the carpet, "She said you're dull as dish water.."

She arches her brow, crossing her arms "Like she has any room to talk" she says frowning.

Just then Damon and the other man come in, both taking a seat in front of me and elena. I point at Damon.

"He's not going to try to kill me again is he?" I ask narrowing my eyes at him.

"No, he won't" the man says, eyeing me.

and why did he call me francheska?" I ask, if Elena was katherines shadowself then could..

"Because you look just like her.." Damon says, gulping down a mouthful of bourbon.

"How is that even possible?" I say, This was definitely strange..

"Doppelganger" I hear a voice say from the entrance.

I look up and see the man, who in a word had made my life a living hell, for as long as I can remember he has been chasing me.. through each town everytime, he has came close to catching me and now? He stood in the door way..

"Klaus.." Stefan says, rising from where he had been sitting.

"Hello Elena.. Damon, Stefan" Klaus says, non chalantly waving his hand toward them, his eyes never leave me.

"I see you have something I've been trying to capture " he says, smirking my way.

"She's not going ANYWHERE with you Klaus." Stefan says

"Oh I know she will" Klaus says "I've been hunting her since the day she was born she can't escape not like her doppelgänger did.." he says with a dark smirk

"If she's smart she'll come with me now." he says to me, "unless she wants her new friends to die"

Elena places an arm over me protectively. "I will not go with you, you bastard" I say " and your stupid if you think I am afraid of you, you're tricks don't scare me anymore you dick" I say through gritted teeth

He growls at me his eyes flashing a goldish amber color I stand my ground, that was new.. He must have broken the curse his family had been rambling on about.

"So Klaus, wanna explain who her doppelgänger was and what she did to you? Stefan asks him.

"Why don't you just look her up, I'm sure Katerina knows exactly where she is being the fact she helped her escape from me." he says with a snarl.

"So you mean to tell me that not one doppelgänger but two escaped from you?" Damon roared with laughter "Way to fail, wolfy"

Klaus glared at him but turned his attention back to me " It's only a matter of time, I got Elena and I'll get you too love"

With that being said he turns and disappears leaving me to my thoughts and many unanswered questions about who I really was.
