Pikachu, Ryder, Oshawott and Snivy were ready to put an end to Dark's plan to cover the whole world with the central bulb with a plan set in motion. However, Dark has also been stalling them before the roots of the bulb reached to all four corners of the earth by interupting all and repelling each attacks from the three pokemon while Oshawott was still channelling his energy for something planned. Dark still couldn't figured out what were they planning and he could not interrupt Oshawott with the three of them being so offensive and defensive at the same time. Nevertheless, Dark could only presumed that this was a pointless struggle until it was complete.
"This whole battle is meaningless, in a matter of minutes, you will all have front row seats as you will watch the world covered by the Forest of No Light. Enough of this foolishness and submit to the will of the Darkmon!", Dark advises the resilience Pokemon. "You think so, huh?", Pikachu refutes in denial. "What makes you so confident that you can win, you mortals?", The Dark Lord questions.
A reply came from behind the three pokemon. "Because we have you now!", Oshawott shouts as he channels his fist into the ground and fires an Ice Beam, enhanced with his aura which caused the ground to experience super-freezing. Then, Dark could feel a sharp pain like an ice shard pierce through him as he struggles to know what happened. Ryder explains that, "Since you still remained so powerful after fighting against many targets would indicate that the bulb was somewhere nearby acting as an energy source." Pikachu continues, "But, Dark must have been moving the bulb so that we could not detect it so we planned to freeze the entire area around us especially the ground where it would most likely be residing in."
Dark began to stagger as he tried to shrug off the freezing feeling which made him slower than before but everyone engagesd him by whipping up multiple strikes with Pikachu blinking behind Ryder to deliver an Iron Tail but Dark using what strength he has left avoids the strike. Ryder quickly jabbed into Dark's chest and ignited a direct Aura Sphere which dealt a tremendous burst of damage which was followed by immobolizing him with a Leaf Tornado from Snivy. Next, Oshawott wasted no time by combining a quick strike with his Razor Shell with his Aqua Jet and kept up the attacks from multiple directions before Pikachu and Ryder mustered up their own aura-infused finishing moves which includes an Electro Ball with an Aura Sphere and landed the attacks which caused Dark to roar in great pain as he was sent flying to a tree and was losing his strength due to being unable to regenerate at his normal rate with the bulb being frozen.
Ryder was about to set the underground network of frozen roots ablaze and destroy the bulb but Dark laughs hysterically as he appears to have one final trick up his sleeve... However, what was different this time, was that the fate of the world will be determined.
"I don't believe this! How could I be defeated by mere mortals?" Dark questioned himself as he retreats slowly to a tree, cornered by the three pokemon and Ryder was about to deliver the final blow to the bulb. "If I'm destined to end here then I will..." Dark pauses in silence.
Pikachu glares as he, Oshawott and Snivy prepared to launch their most powerful attacks to finish off this wrecked-up Dark lord for good. "Then, I will have you all make a choice!" with his remaining strength, Dark shook the ground beneath them and it caused them to waver as Dark returned the bulb from the ground to his side before seconds away from being razed.
"The bulb!", Pikachu shouts. "What is he doing with it?", Snivy asks. Dark then recite an incantation which rapidly began fusing the bulb with his body. In a matter of seconds, the bulb merged inside the Dark lord's body like he became a vessel to the bulb which sent out a huge shockwave which repelled the pokemon back a few meters.
At the same time, a group of pokemon was also travelling to the center of the Forest of No Light to send aid. Dragonite, Krokodile, Pignite, Pansage, Emolga and Pachirisu were approaching to the location until the shockwave also repelled them back a little. "That shockwave... We must be almost there!", Krokodile claims while signalling everyone to be prepared, everyone nods as they push onwards.
Seeing that Dark was using this chance to protect the bulb as a final resort, it mattered not as they needed to destroy Dark along with the Bulb. "You think, keeping it in your body is going to stop us? We will just destroy you with the bulb in one shot!", Pikachu yells at Dark's cowardly final move or so he thought at the moment Dark stopped them with a warning.
"Kill me, then you die.", Dark warns them which led everyone feeling flustered to what trickery was Dark playing at. Ryder thought carefully what he meant and the incantations that Dark was chanting earlier, he figured out his final trick.
The other three shrugged at that stupid warning, "Is this some sort of bluff, Dark? You think that a lie like that would stop us from killing you?", the otter retorts. Ryder then stopped the other from attacking and he instead began charging his aura. Pikachu was mad at Ryder for stopping them from finishing off Dark and demanded a reason for his actions, "Why stop us, Ryder? What is going on?"
Ryder asks Dark, "You used that soul-binding spell, didn't you? Never thought you would go that far." Dark only gave a smirk as Ryder turned to see the others' faces, demanding an explanation. "If one of us kills Dark, then the person who finishes him off will...", Ryder pauses as they ask what happened if they do.
"That person will die...", Ryder finishes which left Pikachu, Oshawott and Snivy a shock look on their faces. Dark used a forbidden spell which links his soul to the bulb and creating a soullink with a curse inlficted on the attacker who kills him as a failsafe, seeing that it was difficult choice to sacrifise one person to end Dark's life.
"If that is the case, Ryder! Why are you charging your attack, won't you die then?, Pikachu asks and Ryder answered yes loudly, "Yes, I will not have anyone else lose their life, I will end this nightmare here and now.
Suddenly, the tremors around the ground began to worsens as the sky turned crimson red with darkness filling the skies. Dark took the chance to wound Ryder with a blast as he unleashed an aura blast which sent Dark screaming in pain but it was not enough to finish him. "Ryder!!!", they attended to his injuries as they heard Dark's screams of agonizing pain had no end as his body emitted a barrier of repelling force.
"Arghh! You won't kill me. The end is nigh! You wasted your chance, say goodbye to your worthless world!!!", Dark yells.
The other group came and split into two divisions to attack Dark with ranged attacks and healing the injured. The attacks dealt from reinforcement had no effect on Dark.
The others tried to help Ryder on his feet but he said that Dark cannot be killed with normal attacks but an aura-infused attack.
Pikachu and Snivy denied that option, knowing that it will kill the user as they quickly searched for other methods but Ryder coughed out blood, claiming that there was no other way and time was running out.
Pikachu then volunteered and was ready to stake his life to end this but Snivy, Axew and Pachirisu opposed this idea as they restrained him from confronting Dark. "Let go off me, I have to do this. I'm the only one who can muster an aura attack.", as Pikachu attempted to escape from their restraint.
"No, you can't do this! What about Buneary and your little girl, Scarlet, what will they do without you?", Pachirisu asks and Axew says, "There must be another way!"
Pikachu reminded them that there was no other way and the world was coming to its end.
Then, in a moment of silence, looking around with everyone confused to what they could do without having to sacrifise one person to end the world destruction countdown. Oshawott, recalled a moment where he felt responsible for causing Pikachu to fall victim into the Forest of No Light and his promise to Buneary to bring Pikachu back alive. He felt shaken until he made an undeterred stand on his decision.
Snivy caught a glimspe of Oshawott getting into a stance as he yelled that, "DARK!!! I AM GOING TO FINISH THIS NOW!!! FOR MY FRIENDS AND THE WORLD!" Everyone gasped as Oshawott suddenly glowed in a crystal blue radiance as he leaped into the barrier and Dark quickly sealed off the barrier to prevent anymore from entering.
Everyone of Oshawott's friends shouted not to do this as they slammed and attacked the barrier with their strongest moves.
Everyone was yelling Oshawott to stop it. To Dark's surprise, he was unaware that the otter was capable of channeling and mastering aura control. "No, stay back you fool! You can't possibly put your life on the line!", Dark dares Oshawott to back off. "If you kill me, you will die as well! ARE YOU SO SURE ABOUT THAT?! YOU WILL NEVER SEE YOUR FRIENDS AND THIS WORLD EVRR AGAIN!"
Oshawott points his Scalpchop infused with a concentrated aura at the edges of the blade. Snivy then shouted, "Oshawott, stop! Please!" Oshawott turned around to see her crying as she continues to break the barrier with their friends. "Snivy..."
"Don't do this, please! I don't want to lose you! Oshawott, please come back...", Snivy pleaded. Images then flashed back from their entire journey together as a team and best friends in Oshawott's mind.
"I'm sorry, Snivy, everyone. I have to do this, I rather lose my life protecting my loved ones then losing my loved ones at world's end!!!" Oshawott lunged at Dark with all of his strength as voices of his friends were slowly drowned by his inner thoughts as he looked back one last time at his friends, no, his family before he thrusted his blade into Dark's chest and with it, the bulb was destroyed.
A piercing loud sound acconpanied with a huge white blast filled the forest as Dark's body disintegrated into nothing before finishing his curses, "Curse you all!!! I will drag myself from the Distortion World and send you all to rot in HEL..."
As his life flashed before his eyes, Oshawott's eyes closed peacefully as he blacked out from the blast...
