A/N: So I have had this idea in my head for years and I decided to just get it out and finally write this story. I honestly would not consider myself a writer, so I am very open to suggestions on how I can better my writing and express my thoughts and ideas better in the story. So please review and I hope you enjoy the story. Also I haven't read any stories that are too similar to mine, so if there is one that already exists that I might seem to be copying please let me know, I do not want to offend anyone!

Disclaimer: I do not own any part of the 100, just my ideas and my lovely OC :) So with all that out of the way, please enjoy!

Prologue

There was a tall man with jet-black hair, his soft features emphasized by the kind smile on his face and the lines by his eyes that made it clear he was familiar with smiles and laughter. Standing next to him was a slender, petite woman with long blonde hair and sharp features, however she too wore a friendly smile, which softened the hard lines of her face. There was a small child holding the hand of the woman, however, it was hidden in shadows, none of its features discernible. The family was facing a tall, lithe girl, who looked remarkably like the woman, with her blonde hair and pointed features; the only difference were her eyes, a bright blue instead of the soft brown of the woman. The girl smiled at the family in front of her, moving as if to walk towards them, but her smile faded as the family seemed to move further away the more she tried to reach them. Within a minute, she was struggling to catch her breath, running faster and faster as the three figures continued moving steadily farther.

Suddenly, they stopped and she couldn't move. She was rooted to the spot she was currently standing and she watched in horror as their faces contorted into looks of contempt and hatred. The man spoke first,

"How could you. It's your fault. You did this."

The woman spoke now, "You ruined everything. You always ruin everything."

As they kept speaking, their voices steadily grew louder along with the girl's sobbing. Suddenly the child stepped forward, releasing the woman's hand. It had almost reached the light, and the girl watched as it started raising its arm.

She suddenly noticed she was in an airlock chamber, and the child was reaching to press the button to float her. The tears ran freely as she tried to scream, but no sound came out. All she could see were two round eyes through the shadows as the child stared, and suddenly pressed the button.

With a start, Kendra sat up in bed, drenched in sweat from her newest nightmare, she could still feel tears running down her cheeks, her blonde hair sticking to her neck as she struggled to catch her breath. She took a shuddering breath and slowly rose from the uncomfortable bed, making her way to the other side of the metal room.

She sighed as she slid to the floor and distracted herself with her daily morning routine: push-ups, sit-ups, crunches, stretches, even a bit of yoga thrown in. When she was done, she was sweating for a different reason and she was calm, her emotionless mask back in place. Just as she moved to scratch another day into her countdown to her birthday, the door to her cell flung open and two guards marched inside. She steeled herself and smirked, crossing her arms as she faced the men and thought to herself, now this would surely get her mind off of the third nightmare she had this week.

"Prisoner three-zero-one, face the wall and put your hands behind your back."

She pouted at the guard, "Now James, is that any way to treat your friends? How have you been, it's been too long."

The guard clenched his jaw, but ignored her, "Prisoner three-zero-one, face the wall and put your hands behind your back."

Kendra rolled her eyes, "You're no fun today. Plus, I still have two days until my retrial, I've been counting. I'm not leaving a second earlier."

This time he narrowed his eyes, "Get on the wall and put your hands behind your back, I'm not going to ask again."

"And I'm not going to say it again, I'm not going. Besides, we both know I'll just beat you up again," she smirked at him.

She heard a chuckle from the guard by the door and smiled, at least someone appreciates my humor.

"I don't think so blondie, I'm actually prepared this time."

"Aww, how precious. Wanted to come see me again did you?"

He scoffed, "Not really, if it were up to me I would never see you again. However, I knew it was inevitable as you have this special ability to piss off or physically disable any guard who has to watch you. In fact, I think you've officially gone through every guard that is physically able. Congratulations."

"Wow, I'm so honored, I feel like there should be some kind of celebration."

"Sure, just go ahead and get on the wall and we'll celebrate."

She narrowed her eyes as panic started to flood her senses, she didn't want to die, not yet, "No."

He pulled out his taser, "Get on the damn wall. Now."

"Fine."

She turned around and faced the wall, but as he took a step towards her, she kicked her leg out and slammed her foot into his knee, as he dropped to the ground she threw her elbow back to hit him square in the face and knocked him out.

She glanced up to a look of annoyance on the other guard's face as he called for backup, and she heard him mutter, "Why does this always happen," under his breath.

The door flung open as four other guards filed into the room and she smirked to hide her underlying sense of unease, "Oh there's five of you this time? They're learning!"

As all five guards started to move towards her, she took a deep breath and felt the adrenaline flood her senses, this is what she was trained for. One man stepped forward, swinging his arm, but she ducked under it and delivered a hit right to his temple and he crumpled to the floor. The other four rushed towards her immediately, but she stood her ground and threw punches and kicks with impressive precision. Suddenly arms wrapped around her as another guard ran at her from the front. She kicks her leg up, putting all of her weight on the guard holding her as she delivered a perfectly-aimed kick in the side to the guard in front of her and he crumpled to the ground. With him down, she struggled in the grip of the guard still holding her. She threw her head back to collide with his face and immediately kicked him in the groin, effectively dropping him to the floor.

She took one look at the guards littering the floor and ran out of the door that held her in that damn cell for 2 years, but what she saw as she stepped out of her cell stopped her in her tracks. All around, prisoners were being led from their cells, and Kendra only had one thought, but that sent her into a panic, Oh god, they're going to float all of us.

With that, she took off, running and weaving through the chaos, she was stopped as a guard grabbed her arm, but she slammed his head into the wall and kept running as he fell to the ground. She was not going to die before she was ready. That was what kept her going as she raced past cell after cell.

Suddenly she looked up and skidded to a stop as she almost rammed into a small body.

"Clarke?"

The girl spun around and her eyes lit up with recognition, "Kenny!"

"What the hell is happening? Why are you here? Are they floating everyone? Where-"

"Calm down! I know just as much as you do about what is going on."

"Clarke?" A familiar voice called out as they both turned, hearing rushed footsteps approaching them.

Clarke turned, "Mom?"

"Abby?" The woman turned to Kendra.

"Kendra."

As Clarke began questioning her mom, Kendra suddenly felt a sharp pain in her arm and looked down to see a tranquilizer dart in her arm. Damn. She tried to warn Clarke, but her mouth would not form the words she was trying to say. The world went fuzzy and she thought she heard someone say something about the ground. Then, everything went black as she succumbed to the sedative.
