Chapter One
Her Scent
Legoshi staggered back towards the wall of his room as the dorm-mother incessantly berated him for staying out too late... again. Not to say that it was intentional by any means, just that he always had trouble catching a train ride back whenever nighttime came around. He always tried his best to make sure that his short searches never lasted any longer than a couple of hours, but he always somehow lost track of time. Weeks had already passed since the incident at the Shishi-Gumi hideout, leaving him with plenty of time to let his wounds heal; though he still couldn't shake the immense feeling of unease he had concerning Louis' whereabouts despite how long it had been. The police had been searching through each and every corner of the city for nearly the entire time he'd gone missing, and yet they hadn't even found a trace of where he might be, outside of the occasional citizen claiming to have seen a red deer somewhere near the Black Market. Naturally, news like this didn't sit well with many of the students. But for someone like Legoshi and his history with the school's "superstar"? It was... a bit difficult to pin his feelings onto any given side. Regardless, he did his best to try and push the thought out of his mind for the time being, instead letting his thoughts flood with images of a certain little dwarf rabbit. 'Haru...'
Just as it had been weeks since he'd managed to save her from the Shishi-Gumi, his time being separated from her felt even more lengthy than he was expecting. Night after night he'd lay awake, gently clutching at his chest, still remembering the sensation he felt whenever her delicate hands traced over his body. The feeling was... faint, but he could still remember it vividly. Almost as vividly as he remembered the sheer amount of embarrassment he'd felt after their "first time" of sorts went south. He shuddered at the thought, trying to think about what he could've done better. The wolf's mind scrambled itself with thoughts of Haru, the way that they interacted, his love and desire to be with her... until suddenly there was a tap on the outside of his bunk from above, most likely signaling that it was just Jack trying to get his attention. Legoshi slid the curtain to the side and angled his head up towards the canine above, eyes still drooping with exhaustion that his body refused to let him relieve. "Mm...? 'Sup, man?" The wolf said in a low tone while yawning. To his embarrassment, when he finally opened his eyes to fully glance up at what he was being shown, his fur immediately shot up in terror. Jack let out a slightly cheeky little snicker from above as he waved around a porn mag that he'd found stuffed into the side of Legoshi's mattress, practically taunting the poor guy with it.
"Y'know, if you're really that into rabbits and such, you should really find a better place to hide stuff like this so I don't find it." The mutt teased, continuing to wave it around above the wolf's face before it was suddenly yanked out of his hand with such a sudden burst of speed that he didn't even notice he wasn't holding it anymore until he lifted his hand back up. With his fur still standing on end in desperate panic, the wolf hissed at Jack, "How the hell did you even get this?! I never got myself another one 'cause I knew it would be a bad idea..." Legoshi grumbled while staring down at the cover of the magazine, or more specifically at the woman plastered on the front. His mind immediately replaced the woman's lustful expression with Haru's darling smile, giving him all the motivation he needed to just toss it off to the side to avoid staring, letting it fall down between the wall and bed. The retriever cocked a brow as he leaned over the side of his bunk to look down at Legoshi, "Eh, it's not like I'd judge anyways. Besides, I know you didn't get it. Go ahead and open the front page." He said with a mild grin curling over his maw before he once again hoisted himself back up to lay down against his pillow.
Not seeing any sort of reason not to, the wolf reached over beside his mattress to scour around for the magazine until his claws finally got a hold of it. Hesitantly, but surely, he opened up the cover-page of the magazine and saw nothing too different from the one he already had aside from a few new poses. Though once his gaze shifted to the second page, his eyes shot wide open as beads of sweat began to form around his face. There had been a small message written in the cover signed with Haru's name. The text read, "I felt kinda bad for havin' to blue-ball you back at the hotel, but you didn't seem quite ready for the real thing just yet. See if this helps take the edge off a bit. -Haru". The wolf didn't freak out nearly as bad as he was expecting, nor did he suddenly just throw the magazine somewhere. Instead, he just kinda shoved it back down where it was and slammed his head down against the pillow, hiding his face between that and the cushions below.
If nothing else, this was a clear sign that they needed to talk. Or at least attempt to work things out, since he really didn't think he could manage to control himself for very long if she kept sending him magazines like this. Though, just as his eyes were about to close, his nose perked up as it caught wind of her very familiar scent emanating from the mag. The aroma flooded his nostrils as well as his mind, nearly clouding his entire train of thought and calming his senses simultaneously. His mind, previously racing with thoughts of Haru, now laid at rest; completely soothed by his love for her scent. Soon enough, his eyes followed suit, finally allowing him to get some long-awaited rest, all while Jack sat up on his bunk, idly humming to himself as he played on his phone.
Author's Note: First ever attempt at any sort of Fan-Fic! I'm relatively proud of the result for the time being seeing as this is mainly just purposed with being an introductory chapter, but I certainly hope to improve on my skills overtime. Hope you all enjoy!
